Stella's situation makes me feel sad... it's heavily implied that Morty dragged his family to Riverblossom Hills and she feels isolated and lonely in such a small town. I always let her find love some way. She's usually a lot happier as time goes on.
I find that really sad too. She's definitely not happy! I like to let her have an affair and then sometimes she leaves Morty to find a happier life.
Honestly with my Uber hood I might get her to divorce and move downtown or to BDC...
She can be gossip gals with Alexandra
I just felt so bad for Morty when Stella rejected him for a flirt.
So I made Morty understand her and help her find friends in the town. It also worked better as Stella didnt know Andrew in my clean install neighborhood

Riverblossom Hills is so underrated! I love the Ramaswami family, I think Priya is so pretty and they make such cute nooboos 🥰
I love this 'hood too! And this is the only place I play the Ottomas and Ramaswami families.
So, at the end when there are hearts floating on the screen, there were supposed to be pictures of the Sims next to them! I accidentally deleted them before rendering the video, so now we're just left with hearts. Oops!

I always thought Leod was more into the male kind of partner, so I generally set him up with a really sweet guy.
That's definitely a fun way to play him too! He has a neutral gender preference, so he could easily go either way!
Riverblossom Hills is definitely my favorite sims 2 pre-made world!

Lol it's so cute hearing people outside of the UK try and pronounce British names, especially Celtic names like Scottish and Irish names. Leod McGregor is Scottish, his name is pronounced as 'loid'. Lloyd is the Welsh spelling and Leod is the Scottish spelling but both are pronounced 'loid'. I'm sure there's some American names us Brits would completely butcher for pronunciation as well lol.
What are some strangely spelt or pronounced American names? Might give me some idea for my sims lol
I'm sure there are more complicated names out there but the ones I've come across are just regular names spelled differently you know like kaightlin, Kaitlin, kaytleen. These are just the ones at the top of my head but there are some crazy ones out there. Not sure if they do this in the UK too. I had no idea Leod was pronounced the same as Loyd thank you for sharing
@@prudence8808 Ah okies, that's interesting. I know the Irish have some strangely spelt names like Siobhan, Catriona and Saoirse. It's definitely a Celtic thing I think
IKR? LEE-ID LMAO IT'S SO FUNNY. I love it when people try and pronounce Gaelic names. My favourite one to ask people to try and pronounce is Eilidh just to see what they say.

That drove me crazy when I was editing this video. But I didn't see it while I was filming! LOL
The only time I played in Riverblossom Hills was with my own family, with an alien mom and dad, and their eight kids (yes eight!) The majority of them had green skin, black eyes and brown hair, however three of the kids had normal blue eyes from the dad. However I lost that family after I had to reinstall the sims 2, I miss them so much 😢

I thought leod was gay? I just remember watching a Sims lore video on sexuality and in it, she says he is gay, and it's funny because every woman has a crush on him but he's not interested.
i remember that as well. i think he’s gay within the games code but as soon as he has a successful romantic interaction with a woman his preference changes.

No, he's not gay by default. He could be played as gay if you want, but Maxis didn't make him that way. In Sim PE, he has no gender preference like most of the premade Sims that aren't in relationships. :)

Do the University “hoods” have a recommended play order? I thought the stories there are super interesting, (Uni is my favorite expansion pack!) but it doesn’t seem like Maxis wrote any guides to them 🙁

So I'm assuming you typically use a mod that gives Plantsims all life stages? Because if not, Daisy will be A LOT older than Tommy :D They would make a cute couple, but since I don't use that mod, I paired her up with Leod and they were perfect together ❤️
There's this weird "tube" house in RH that has a beach vibe in the back yard and that's the house I would choose for Alexandra :D

No, I usually just don't age her up until Tommy is an adult to "simulate" childhood. But I just found out about the mod and think I'll use it instead. I really don't play Plantsims very often.

Since I tend to do mega/uberhoods, I always want to let Stella move to either Downtown or Belladonna Cove at some point, since her bio implies that she'd be happier in the city, but by the time Xander goes to college she'll already be best friends with her fellow journalists in Riverblossom Hills, so :S
I like that idea for Stella too! But I also find that she might just need some time to make friends in Riverblossom. :)

@@SweetStrawberryShell Not to mention his mother's LTW is 6 grandchildren. He already has a teen, a child and a toddler (plus two unborn on the way to make 5). Just no time or room for the 6th unless you ignore wants about the teen becoming overachiever and just send him to college. You know how a male romance sim is going to provide the 6th grandchild before his mother dies.

I’m really excited to play these guys now that I finally have the game working on my Mac. I haven’t loaded Riverblossom Hills, but I moved them into Pleasantview and I’m planning on having David end up with Alexander Goth, because I love the idea of Alex being gay. Sharla’s going to be with Beau Broke, and I’m thinking of making Tommy a Romance Sim.
(And I named one of the twins after Cindy)
Loved watching Cindy play detective in the Sims 2! I do know Peter Ottomans is a Romance Sim, so I bet he wouldn't say no! 😂
I would have traded one of the "repeat" Sims 3 worlds, from the store, for a Seasons world, in that generation. This is one great example of Sims 2 having an edge over Sims 3. Also, I feel like the Roths are like a mix of Goth and Alto. #wealthyandedgy

Watching through this again to write down the suggested order because I wasn't able to the first time... and I just noticed when Leod pulls out the ring box, it has a dusting of snow on the top! 😄 Such a stupid detail, and I freaking love it!!

That's so interesting! I've always played in this order: 1- Teatherton (Alexandra) 2. Roth 3. Wan 4. Viejo 5. McGreggor 6.O'Mackey and 7. Greenman,but as they say the sky (and our imagination) is the limit and we are the directors of this play
That's true! You can really play these families in any order you want. I mostly play the ones with the most difficult locked wants first and then move on to the easier ones before I start my rotations. :)
Peter is a romance sim so that's actually a great match. Two married sims cheating... Works
It would definitely work. And I can see Peter trying to escape the craziness of his home life with an affair!
@@PleasantSims Do try for baby with Peter. This baby is for Dora's Lifetime Want of 6 grandchildren. You just don't have room for Dora's LTW otherwise - Sending David off to college without scholarships and Peter adopting a child when there are so many wants for David to become an overachiever/have A+ in school .. Peter is a Romance sim so an affair would be the way he makes Dora's LTW to happen. Just that one baby. You can give him secondary Family aspiration afterwards and say he was just doing it for his mother. (I'm sure he'd say that too if someone asked).

Maxis do things half-assed? NOOoooo! :D I haven't played Riverblossom hills in ages but I did try it once. I think the plantsims are interesting but I really feel that Maxis could have fleshed them out a little more. I think going from toddler to adult leaves out a lot of opportunity for them. Skip childhood maybe and go to teen, then, at least, I could send them to college which I think would be fun. Imagine a plantsim that can party all day and all night but still needs to keep hydrated and needs that sunlight. The way they are I just find them kind of boring. The Ottomas are such an interesting family and I've added them to hoods before but have never really played them fully unfortunately. And don't get me started on maxis houses. Ugh. Like homes that look great, at first, until you try having sims actually Live in them! Then you find that you can barely fit a single bed in one of the bedrooms. It just drives me nuts.
I agree with you on the Plantsims. I hardly ever play them for this reason. But I recently found there's a mod to allow them to become children and teens. I'll be using this any time I play them in the future!
@@PleasantSims Oh, that would be a great thing! "Cause I never play plantsims and I've tried werewolves and vampires before (love the werewolf sims!). I'd be willing to try a couple if they could have more life stages.
Yeah. I had a nightmare playing The Viejo house due to its bad single person use staircase to the living quarters.

I'm convinced they had one or two people build all the lots in a neighborhood. If you go around Downtown you will see a pattern in the way the buildings were built as well. Always using the same items, swatches and the same kind of wooden beams?

I will never forget the first time I played the Ottomas family. The mother gave birth to a single baby boy, no twins. And her husband wasn't the father... The oldest son was!! I was so shocked when I saw the family tree!! I don't know if anyone else had a similar experience. It was for the disc version, and it never repeated in a second save file.
I love RH! In my game Catherine & Betty became a gay couple and adopted a daughter. Alexandra had a brief affair with Sanjay and now she's raising his baby who is a little pirate ^^ she also travels a lot and has a lover in every vacation hood lmao

Hi Cindy! Love your play order guide. If I remember well, i bought once 20 orchand trees, wait for an option för trees to be infected and spray all of trees, and that is the easiest way för a sim to become a plant sim.

Riverblossom Hills is probably my favourite pre-made neighbourhood! I usually pair Sandra Roth with Joshua Ruben from Sim State University, while Jacob doesn't go to university. I also usually pair Betty with Catherine, although I think next time I'll figure out someone else for her. I do mess with the neighbourhood a lot, though--half the Sims get their aspirations changed. Alexandra and the Ramaswamis usually either stay in the bin or go Downtown if I feel like building one.
I love this 'hood! There are so many possibilities with the Sims. I really like the idea of Betty and Cassandra getting together too!

I put Jacob with Cleo or Alexandra, whichever he chooses. I have also had him paired with Catherine via ACR before. Lol
I love all neighbourhoods in Sims 2. They all have personality. It is just so fun to play with Sims

I grew up playing The Sims 3 and I always had a family based game play with generations. I got The Sims 2 and I knew about Bella Goth and Don but I never thought about playing with rotations but it sounds so fun!

I love Riverblossom! I usually let Stella divorce Morty and marry Leod after his first wife passes away(I shorten a little life of Betty, life on farm is not easy ;P). Morty and Alexandra are great work buddies and have chemistry so after few promotions Alexandra is happy to settle down with man who shares her passion for adventure. I think Sandra is too hyped about relationship so Jacob breaks up with her and get back with Jules. Of course Gabe and Patricia get married an have kids. Sometimes out of anger with mods I move out Jules to live alone as runaway teenager. Andrew and Cleo make good couple but later in life, she dreams about Leod for some time. Catherine has a lot romances and use elixir of life frequently(in her bio and household bio is information about wanting to cheat the death an live the longest). Xander Roth is gay and gets with biological Greenmans' son. Greenmans are the hardest for me. They life is pretty easy because of lack of many needs but they can reproduce easily so they do. In Sims 2 grand grandkids and gran grandparents don't recognise eachother as family and plantsim's childhood is very short... They are plants, they can do weird stuff, not very moral stuff to humans/Sims.

This series is great!! I would love to you play this neighborhood and see what you do with these characters. I’m sure you already know by now Jason and Gabe are brothers but Jason took Rose’s last name. In my game I made Stella and Alexandra have an affair. Quite the scandal in the small farming neighborhood lol!

I always played river blossom hills in the sims 2, I loved the greenman family! If you download the Uberhood 2.0 save file for the sims 4 it has a bunch of worlds & families from the sims 2, it even includes full family tree’s & is set to sims 2 settings. You do have to download a few cc items with it but it has Riverblossom Hills as Brindleton Bay & its been so nostalgic playing it & definitely brings some more excitement to my game. I love the sims 2 drama.
Really cool to see a Riverblossom Hills video! In my game, ACR made Andrew Martin get together with Catherine..not my first choice! Cleo and Leod just got married, I like the idea of a farmer trying to keep his rock star wife happy, and I think she needs to give him some kids to help on the farm. Alexandra ended up in a relationship with Matthew Picaso (I play an Uberhood) as she had three bolts with him.
I love it! There are so many possibilities with these Sims it's almost different every time I play. Lol
Alexandra ends up with Julien Cooke in my Uberhood just about every time!

So interesting how you set this up. My one concern for the pairings is Tommy and Rose. Rose goes from toddler to adult (correct?), so she would be way older than Tommy. But, since Rose's family started in Spring and everyone else is in Winter, maybe they miss a rotation or two? That would make it more even. I like to pair up my Sims and make it even too. My method is to add a family to even things out. Right now I'm playing Veronaville (thanks to your inspiration) and I plan to add a family of three women (1 elder, 1 adult, 1 teen) to even things up. I counted the college Sims too (thanks to your suggestion). Keep this up. It's very entertaining and helpful!
I usually try to adopt in children/teens when needed, but I've never added adults or elders. That's a great idea! Yes, Plant Sims do go from toddler to adult (which I hate), but I just keep her stagnant while she waits for Tommy. Lol.

I don't like that plantsims miss out on childhood. I use midgethetree's mod to give my little plantsims child and teen stages

Lol I always put granny ottomas in a barn-like shed on that same lot. I did everything else the same as you tho like, that lot just makes the most sense for the family.

Riverblossom Hills is probably the neighborhood I've played the least, not because I didn't like it but because my favorite families are in other neighborhoods, but I'm going to have to play around in it soon and see what's up. I also play on a wants-based system, and definitely see where the locked wants lead the story in this town. I also had no idea that the Ottomas family is supposed to be from there. One of my sims brought home Samantha from work and so I plopped them down in that neighborhood to keep corruption at bay.
Thanks for the guide, Cindy! I thought I screwed up the neighbourhood storyline by creating my own sim in Riverblossom Hills, grabbing Cleo to live with him and have a kid, but it turns out I didn't (or at least not too much). Maybe now, since they have a kid, maybe it would be a good idea to storm back into Cleo's old house with the whole family, since they have more space. 😅 Hopefully Patricia won't feel claustrophobic.
Oh my gosh! I started this ‘hood last month and I went from left to right haha, starting with the O’Mackey’s and going from right from there 🤦🏻♀️ I don’t regret it though! I have a lot going on in it. I actually made Cleo and Patricia get together and now they’re married and have an adopted baby son, named Jay!

I honestly just used Riverblossom Hills for a challenge I’m playing and my uberhood where I try to play all the premades, but this is the only Sims 2 neighborhood that never really piqued my interest fully. However for whatever reason Gabe and Cleo always have high chemistry in my game and once got together via ACR 😅
Wow, I've never put Gabe and Cleo together before, but I can see it! I love this 'hood but it took me a while to get into it, TBH. I had to really dive deep into the family stories.

Id probably let the love triangle stew a little more with The Rich Farmer. Sometimes my sims have wants and they just dont get fulfilled if other sims in my game also have the same wants

I love all your play order videos! RH is may favorite ts2 hood, but I'm realizing I hardly ever do the "intended" think with these families! My favorite household is the Wans, I have Cleo and Patricia get married after they have a kid each with Morty Roth and Gabe O'Mackey respectively.
