My mom HATES musicals but she agreed to see only one and I had to show her Twisted. She liked it, but I think she would have liked "the guy who didn't like musicals" more lol
Haven't showed either of my parents anything, excepting for playing my dad the audio of Showstopping Number. Understandably, even with explanation from me, he was very confused...
My dad would honestly sit on his phone the entire time then tell me he doesn’t like musicals and so I see no point in showing them to him. I tried showing my mom Twisted but she turned it off not even five minutes in
@@theghostlyfigure9989 Yeah, I'm *really* uncomfortable watching anything inappropriate with my dad (cursing's fine, but anything like,, uh,, What Do You Want, Paul would be literal torture), but my mom practically forced me to go with her and watch The Favorite so she has lost all "that's inappropriate" rights (she also watches Shameless while I'm in the room, we recently watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show because she thought it was like TGWDLM, it was not, etc.). She also really doesn't like musicals, which is why I thought TGWDLM would be perfect for her - and I was right, she loved it.
dude, ur sister is hella right, those quotes were hilarious! also, I talked to snoop dog the other day and he said u should do one of these full things w scenes that ur sister laughed the most at ok thanks byeeee
Louise Hildeby wow, wonder why you’d think that. And i don’t remember exactly what my sister laughed at the most, which is why I didn’t. But if my sister would send me some stuff to get me started then I might look into it.
Lyle The Water Aquatic Guy fam, it was me the entire time! i mean idk where to get some stuff to send u, but we could skype-watch them and u can write down the stuff I laugh at lol :D
My dad really doesn’t like musicals but off of premise alone he agreed to watch TGWDLM with me one day when I had first gotten interested in Starkid. We obviously both loved it and one of his favorite scenes is the coffee shop tip guy it’s still kind of an inside joke of ours to this day!
I would like to present my favourite thing my sister has said : Me : _quotes the part in Show Me Your Hands that goes "Cuz we're cops, yeah we're cops, and we make sense"_ My sister : Okay but that is totally Jake Peralta and Doug Judy
I tried very hard to share some of Trail to Oregon with my dad by singing him Pays to Be an Animal, but because he is super fundie, I had to heavily edit the entire song on the fly, meanwhile my boyfriend was laughing his ass off just because he knew how hard I was working to rewrite the song on the spot. "WHEN YOU WAKE UP WITH MUD ON YOUR- FACE!"
My dad is not a fan of musicals, but I’ve managed to get him to watch TGWDLM, Black Friday, Holy Musical B@man, and Starship. I don’t know how I convinced him
can i just say that your videos are amazing and you're quickly becoming my favourite starkid channel!! so thank you for all this amazing content!! (also you should get your dad to watch choose our destiny and make a vid of his favourite parts!)
ava aww thank you so much, I’m currently having trouble sleeping and I’m up at like 4 am and seeing your comment made me super happy, also I’m definitely gonna do that but we live in different countries so it’ll take a while
Im currently showing TGWDLM to my mom (who doesn't like musicals) and the only parts he's really laughed out loud at were Jeff during what do you want paul
Tin Can Brothers, a collective made up of Corey Lubowich, Joey Richter and Brian Rosenthal. They're the brains behind "Spies are forever", "the Solve it Squad", "Choose our Destiny" etc.
The Tin Can Bros, a comedy trio made up of three starkid members (Brian Rosenthal, Joey Richter, and Corey Lubowich). They have web sketches, two live sketch shows, a musical, a 1 hour play, 2 short films, an improv show, etc. They basically just do a bunch of different stuff and they are amazing.
your dad is iconic for liking the printer scene in TGWDLM just because its a relatable experience
Your dad is a man of culture, ani finally gets the respect it DESERVES
ANI is every dad's favorite show, confirmed.
Also, any WWII jokes.

brian rosenthal in solve it squad gives off the same energy as joey richter in trail to oregon
Real question is what did your dad think of Black Friday?
imagine being comfortable enough with your family to show them things you like without them judging you and what you like
Couldn't be me
My mom HATES musicals but she agreed to see only one and I had to show her Twisted. She liked it, but I think she would have liked "the guy who didn't like musicals" more lol
Yeah I showed my mum twisted bc she didn’t want anything sinister and I feel like tgwdlm and Black Friday would freak her the fuck out
I would rather eat my left foot than show my father any Starkid musical, but I've showed my mom TGWDLM so?

I'm so used to hearing Bat Wayne or Bruceman that hearing Bruce Wayne legitimately threw me off lol
Wait- there’s a character in Solve It Squad named Gwen? And she writes books? Okay, now I have to watch it because that’s me.
All of these scenes are exactly the scenes I'd imagine all dads would like
