Ok, all of these I can agree with, except Jeff Blim and Joey Richter. America is Great Again is easily Jeff’s best song vocally, it shows off his vocals and range perfectly and it’s a song where he’s able to seriously sing, instead of doing more character singing, which he tends to have to do as he plays comedic and outlandish characters a lot. It’s the kind of song that makes you pause at his voice and just listen, and perfectly compliments his voice. For Joey, it’s clearly Status Quo, which again, showcases his voice perfectly. It’s a song that that requires the right amount of acting and vocal skill, which Joey absolutely nails. Sidekick is good, but Status Quo is a whole other level.

Tbh I thought Nick sounded...not great... in "Those Voices". Although that song is beautiful and I still listen to it on occasion. At least with "Nothin Like a Dick" the voice is in character.
i would probably choose i steal everything over orphaned at 33, but i am kinda biased as 33 is my least favorite song in twisted. also maybe dark, sad, lonely knight over achmed, but highkey a really tough decision aslkjkfjsvdf!! and i dont even know how you were able to pick for dylan. he. is. god. i love that man
I went back and forth on Orphaned at 33 and I Steal Everything a million times. It was a tough pick. I love Dark Sad Lonely Knight but I think he has more control in Achmed. And yes, Dylan was very hard to pick
A few changes I would've made: - Brian Holden: Kick it up a Notch Reprise - Dylan Saunders: If I Believed - Jaime Lynn Beatty: Not Alone - Meredith Stepien: Jemilla's Lament I really like your list tho! These are just my character favs because they're the ones I really connected to through their performance. :D
I completely forgot about Not Alone until you said that, I feel like you can tell shes talented but it's not very often that you get to actually hear her voice Express itself and I think that song kind of does
Jon Matteson in Let It Out makes me cry every time. The split octaves, the part where he breaks down and wonders if its really all better, gods it gets me.
I wish Corey Dorris got to sing more. I saw him in the AVP series and he was funny. Then I watched Trail to Oregon and realized how good he is. They need to give him more solos.
I agreed with every pick, except for Lauren Lopez. I think she sounded better in Climate Change and in Into the Night she sounded a little strained. But that’s just my opinion, sorry if it came off as rude.
I love love love Climate Change but Into the Night literally gives me chills. And I love hearing everyone's opinions! It didn't come of as rude at all.
I'm just curious, when does she sound strained? It just sounds like she switchs between mix and head a few times though I'm just basing it on the clip here. Would love to hear your opinion on it!
She sounds very nasally at the beginning, which can indicate strain between head voice and chest voice when a song is primarily focusing on your bridge (where head voice and chest voice meet). This can not be changed, as your bridge is decided by the shape of your vocal chords. For example, my bridge is G4 - A4. This pretty much means Lauren’s voice doesn’t fit well with the song, and I believe that climate change suits her voice better. Although, this may not be as big as a concern for Starkid, seeing as they are a musical theatre company and I mainly focus on opera/classical music, so I don’t know that much about musical theatre.
@@auroradainer Okay I get what you mean now. I lean more on the musical theater side with classical influence. However I don't usually see the term bridge, I'm guessing you're talking about the mix as that's a blend of head and chest. She does sound a bit nasally now that I listen again, this is unfortunately rather common within theater singers when they utilize a higher belt (from what I've seen)but can carry over to other parts. I think in this case and with the way she's singing, it's definitely within her break and thus makes it harder to transition more evenly? I could be wrong but that's what I would guess
For Jeff: World's at stake reprise Joey: Wagon on fire And for Dylan: probably, if I believed But I love this video, and I respect the hard choices you had to make (especially for Jon and Robert, amirite)
You know what's funny, I've seen so many different choices for Jeff. For disagreements on other people i see usually one alternate song that people would have picked but ive seen such a variety for Jeff
I love that Joey Richter can brilliantly pull off the high notes of “Sidekick” and the low SEXY notes of “Wagon on Fire.” HE HAS THE RANGE AND HE’S KILLING IT Y’ALL
I prefer I Was over To Have a home for Darren (though it's a close second), and I think Sidekick is awesome for Joey! And I prefer If I Believed for Dylan. But still, this vid is perfect. ESPECIALLY SIDEKICK.
The Night Belongs to Snarl is easily my favourite song in Firebringer, I think it’s so underrated. And I LOVE Brian Holden’s lower register in it. MMMM
I see that you only used Starkid in this. Personally I think so many of these actors have had their best songs in SAF. For example, Joe in Torture Tango gives me LIFE
Excuse me, but “Sands of Time” would like a word. The vocals while tears are welling in his eyes?? The effortless emotion?? I’m sorry but that was the first song I thought of for Dylan even though there are way too many to choose from
I love seeing everyone’s different opinions! For me personally, Dylan’s would have been Twisted in Twisted (always makes me cry), Jeff’s would have been America is Great Again, Joey’s would have been Wagon on Fire but dAmn those high notes... JON DURING THE SLOW PART IN LET IT OUT IS MY FAV F U CK, 100% agree with into the night for lauren bc it’s just the most true to her voice and i love it so much, for Meredith I probably would have gone with Jemilla’s Lament or her parts in The Night Belongs to Us even tho i loVe A Thousand and One Nights, WoW i forgot how much I love the riffy parts in Showstopping Number and just not over yet in general-

i would probably choose i steal everything over orphaned at 33, but i am kinda biased as 33 is my least favorite song in twisted. also maybe dark, sad, lonely knight over achmed, but highkey a really tough decision aslkjkfjsvdf!! and i dont even know how you were able to pick for dylan. he. is. god. i love that man
Personally, I would agree with 33 because I think it shows off his vocals more. But I steal everything is a great song :)
I went back and forth on Orphaned at 33 and I Steal Everything a million times. It was a tough pick. I love Dark Sad Lonely Knight but I think he has more control in Achmed. And yes, Dylan was very hard to pick
joey sounded fucking good in paint me as well
You got it on point with Bonnie! Coolest Girl is probably my favorite Starkid song
It low key makes me emotional
I would’ve chosen The Night Belongs to Us for Meredith’s honestly
A few changes I would've made:
- Brian Holden: Kick it up a Notch Reprise
- Dylan Saunders: If I Believed
- Jaime Lynn Beatty: Not Alone
- Meredith Stepien: Jemilla's Lament
I really like your list tho! These are just my character favs because they're the ones I really connected to through their performance. :D
Interesting: I would have gone with Harry for Jaime Lyn.
Thanks for watching! And I definitely considered all of those songs
I completely forgot about Not Alone until you said that, I feel like you can tell shes talented but it's not very often that you get to actually hear her voice Express itself and I think that song kind of does
@@ewilliams4410 oh that reminds me of the Dylan/Jaime Sami/Harry duet. I would love to hear more duets from those two. It was SO good.
Honestly I probably would've picked America is Great Again for Jeff lol
I was about to point out Torture Tango for Joe, but then I remembered that’s not Starkid lol.
Great list, I agree with almost every one
Ah he sounds amazing in that song, but yes I only included Starkid
Jon Matteson in Let It Out makes me cry every time. The split octaves, the part where he breaks down and wonders if its really all better, gods it gets me.
"Is my integrity worth anything at all?" Jeez that line hits hard
@@SilvanaLTD ALL THE LINES HIT HARD But yes I agree after all that fighting he just thinks, 'was it really worth it?' and i lose it
I wish Corey Dorris got to sing more. I saw him in the AVP series and he was funny. Then I watched Trail to Oregon and realized how good he is. They need to give him more solos.
Agree with every pick except Jaime. I love join us and die, but lost without you is my jam, and I love her voice in it!
Great video tho(as usual)
Thanks for watching. And that was a really hard choice
@@SilvanaLTD I imagine, she's so great!
I'm binge watching your videos, they're so amazing!!
Kudos from Brazil
I agreed with every pick, except for Lauren Lopez. I think she sounded better in Climate Change and in Into the Night she sounded a little strained. But that’s just my opinion, sorry if it came off as rude.
I love love love Climate Change but Into the Night literally gives me chills. And I love hearing everyone's opinions! It didn't come of as rude at all.
There's like one high note that sounds strained because she's in her head voice for a lot of it.
I could be wrong but that's what I would guess
lauren absolutely KILLED into the night oh my god like she obviously kills every song she sings but into the night is just so fucking good hhhhh
I literally got chills making that part of the video
I can’t believe it took me until Jon to realize this was in alphabetical order.
Lol. Yeah i really didn't know what other way to organize it
For Jeff: World's at stake reprise
Joey: Wagon on fire
And for Dylan: probably, if I believed
But I love this video, and I respect the hard choices you had to make (especially for Jon and Robert, amirite)
Si Ariele Dylan is WAY too talented to just pick ONE best song
@@mariajosefinasaporito5189
That is true, I also apologise for my past, 1 month old self. I now see kick it up a notch is the clear winner
jokes on you, all of Jamie's songs are the best. it's scientifically implausible to pick the best one
You are right. I can't argue with science
it must have been really difficult to rank all of these and i commend you for that but i Really think jeff's choice should've been dysentery world
You know what's funny, I've seen so many different choices for Jeff. For disagreements on other people i see usually one alternate song that people would have picked but ive seen such a variety for Jeff
I love that Joey Richter can brilliantly pull off the high notes of “Sidekick” and the low SEXY notes of “Wagon on Fire.” HE HAS THE RANGE AND HE’S KILLING IT Y’ALL
Really love how none of us are surprised or disagree with Robert’s.
I love it but for aj I can't decide between that and listen to your heart
My exact conundrum
Listen To Your Heart is so good!! One of my faves from MAMD
I prefer I Was over To Have a home for Darren (though it's a close second), and I think Sidekick is awesome for Joey! And I prefer If I Believed for Dylan. But still, this vid is perfect. ESPECIALLY SIDEKICK.
Thanks! And you pointed out some of the hardest choices lol
The Night Belongs to Snarl is easily my favourite song in Firebringer, I think it’s so underrated. And I LOVE Brian Holden’s lower register in it. MMMM
Yes! I wish he got to sing like that more
To have a Home is when I fell IN LOVE with precious Darren
Did you mean 22 minutes of making me cry because these songs are so beautiful?
I see that you only used Starkid in this. Personally I think so many of these actors have had their best songs in SAF. For example, Joe in Torture Tango gives me LIFE
Haha. I totally agree that's Joe's best song. Its chilling. I actually pinned a comment about this.
Long Ago and Far Away is baby
Jon’s facial expressions and his overall just everything in let it out is scary good
Man Pays to Be an Animal is great and all but... BIG T
*sees Robert's song*
_wow, what a surprise_
Personally I would’ve picked “When I Was” for Joe Walker- his voice sounds amazing in it
Excuse me, but “Sands of Time” would like a word. The vocals while tears are welling in his eyes?? The effortless emotion?? I’m sorry but that was the first song I thought of for Dylan even though there are way too many to choose from
Yeah choosing Dylan's song was rough because he literally always sounds amazing. Like all of his songs give me chills
Shame you didn’t use studio recordings because Clark on I Was might be my favorite
He does sound great in that song.
I love seeing everyone’s different opinions! For me personally, Dylan’s would have been Twisted in Twisted (always makes me cry), Jeff’s would have been America is Great Again, Joey’s would have been Wagon on Fire but dAmn those high notes... JON DURING THE SLOW PART IN LET IT OUT IS MY FAV F U CK, 100% agree with into the night for lauren bc it’s just the most true to her voice and i love it so much, for Meredith I probably would have gone with Jemilla’s Lament or her parts in The Night Belongs to Us even tho i loVe A Thousand and One Nights, WoW i forgot how much I love the riffy parts in Showstopping Number and just not over yet in general-
I think we can all agree corry has changed to our doors our open 😳
Actually Dylan’s best was we’re all in this together in avpm
In my opinion Brian holder's best song was kick it up a notch reprise
Holden
I would like to cast my vote for inevitable; who's with me
oh gosh i dearly hope someday clark will get an acting role in a show, he is such a beautiful singer and clearly has a great sense of humor.
Before watching: Joey’s is gonna be hard...
Update: Good choice 🔥👌🏻
I always forget that it’s Brain Rosenthal as James!!!
Omg I’m sorry but I think Mariah’s best is Lah Dee Dah Dah Day
Yup!!
When Show Stoppin’ Number came on I was so happy
you know, jeff blim sounded really good in "when the worlds at stake" reprise, wish he used that voice more.
Wagon on Fire is Joey’s best song imo
