One of the reasons why the RLF was so successful in the beginning was due to the UN’s employment of people from many walks of life, this ensured that even if one’s background was unusual it wouldn’t involve in the kind of investigation that would’ve exposed the RLF plot.
Also tends to be hard to verify someones history if all the documentation is back in BETA territory. I'm kinda curious how many people "disappeared" during the war only for someone "new" to appear in another country.

It's an amazing TSF, very good design for the designated main character mech. Blue Flag was pretty cool; I know it would've been bad for the budget, but truly getting to see the wide variety of TSFs actually present would've been amazing

The more I rewatch Total Eclipse, the more I think the RLF are complete and utter morons. 1) They destroy TSF's, the only thing holding the beta back. 2) They kill pilots that, while cocky at times, are still some of the other only things keeping people alive. 3) Yes, some people are safer than others. Yes, it's not right that others are treated worse. But what do you expect considering what these pilots and machines are facing?! "We want the military to help us." they can barely help themselves 95% of the time as it is! Yes, they did a successful takeover. But in the end, they committed crimes against humanity by taking hostages, destroying military hardware, killing military personnel, and all that leading all into ENDANGERING THE HUMAN RACE!!!! Over all great video, and I can't wait for the next part!

I wouldn't doubt they are at least trained; I didn't expect Silvio to use a TSF at all, as I thought his story would only consist of ground level spy stuff, but he piloted one at the start. As for the Spetsnaz, they're mentioned to be carrying RPGs, although I think one of them mentioned how they were mostly pinned down during that fight. Even if the TSFs will probably win, infantry with RPGs can do a decent job against TSFs in urban areas, as depicted in Schwarzes Marken.

They also pioneered Laserjagd alongside their comrades in the GDR which is a core of BETA hunting ops. Arguably the Raptor is my most disliked TSF in the franchise with stealth being their only saving grace yet rebels were able to take them down. Only armed with arguably the best Assault Cannon but with only toothpicks. Its going to be a terrible TSF when the enemy actually has a bead on them. Best "super" TSF both in anti BETA and anti human has to be the Esper-use Su-47s. Not even stealth will save you from precognition.

But the VN has the depth and detail. In situations like this, I make it a point to remind myself that the "narrator" is looking at multiple historical sources and is trying to put together a presentation of what happened during the battle. So "combat footage" (anime) might show an Su-47 during the battle, but "official documentation" (VN) would say that it never appeared. The narrator would probably assume Soviets didn't want it made public that a Berkut was there. In reality, it's just because the VN and anime are different lol
Red Shift is 100% justified and arguably one of the more sensible thing in Muv Luv. RLF can cope and seethe about it
