Hey all. I use a 34" curved Ultrawide and I LOVE it compared to the 24" curved I used prior. Nothing like a good quality picture. And I found it was not that big of an adjustment as far as seeing the mini map or ammo stats. If you don't use an ultra wide, I highly suggest you puirchase one, nothing like it
@@subliminalgoat On mine, I go to settings, Input. And its in the Aspect Ratio of mine to go into Full Wide mode. If your using a curved monitor, it will take a few times to get use to it
does this give you a competitive advantage since you are able to see more of your surroundings compared to a normal monitor (16:9). Are you able to everything on your screen without having to turn around to look in the corners? Im thinking about buying one for MW3.
On mine, I had to go into the monitor settings menu and inmine, i had to go under input tab and set the Aspect ratio from original to full wide @@subliminalgoat
Competitivly i'd have to say no. Most competitive players I belive, like 27", any bigger and, your right, you have to move your head around to see things like mini maps (if you use them). Then again i've found I can see things out of the corner of my eye a bit better because of the bigger picture. Its all person preference. I like it and theres settings I use that work really well with the ultra wide. @@DePrimeYT
Well, I only use my Samsung Odyssey G9 49" 32:9 for cod and a some other mp games, the rest I play on my 27" 1440p monitor. It's extremely demanding to run games on that huge monitor.
Ive just got back into gaming and I’m currently happy with my series x and 37” tv. I’ve never used a monitor for gaming let alone a curved or ultra wide, so this video was super helpful man. Beautifully explained with great examples. Thanks for your hard work!
I just started out in pc gaming and I bought the LG 45 curved Oled for gaming and immersion only. Wenn playing cod and you want to look at the hud, you have to turn your head. So it’s definitely a downside to such a big screen. But i still love to play on it
Advice if you ever want to do similar comparison videos. Please optimise all the graphics so that your FPS would actually match the refresh rates of your monitors. It's one of, if not the most important attributes of a monitor! You can't compare a 144htz or 240htz monitor if your game runs at 100fps... otherwise - great tip of moving the interface in!
I have the Samsung G5 34" 3440*1440 165Hz It's nice because I can play any resolution I want. From 1920*1080. Up to 3440*1440. If I want to play ultra wide 21:9 I play ultra wide, if I want to wide 16:9 I just play windowed view.
I reccomend this new Philips ultra wide Philips 34m2c3500l 3440x1440 Fast VA 180hz 0.5ms on a 7800xt nitro + and its GREAT ! No ghosting. Great Ufo test.
Playing on a 34" Alienware Monitor. Mostly World of Warcraft, COD and other Story Games. WoW and Story Games are superior on UWQHD. But when I play COD, i feel like my Eyes are exhausting really fast. Always thinking about to switch back to 16:9 (32" maybe soon) But I am not sure if I will then be happy with WoW and Story Games with 16:9
so right now i have the g7 samnsung 32inch 240hz 2k, the alienware 34inch oled ultrawide, the lg 34gn850b 34inch 160hz ultrawide, lg 4k 120hz gsync, the 49 inch samnsun neo 2k super ultrawide and the corsair 45inch oled flex 2k gaming monitor . i honestly feel like of all these my favorite monitor is the corsair 45 inch fllex feels like the best one
I would be interested to see comparison with one of the newer OLED TV's. I am older and eyes went somewhat south at ~40 :). Wondering how these compare to a 55" or 65" OLED?
@isaiahdaplaya7 facts but I ended up just getting a second monitor for fps games haha . Gonna use the ultrawode for elden ring and stuff and the 16:9 for competitive
I want to buy an 34 inch ultra wide va panel 1 ms 180hz. But everyone tells me not to buy va panel because of ghosting and smearing. Anyone using va panel and have problems with this? Help pls
the performance in your cod games is not relevant. Due to SBMM in the newer COD's, one game might be easy, the next might be e-sports level. For a proper metric, use something like aimlabs and do a number of sessions there

Once you go ultra wide , you can’t go back!
A year ago I would have been skeptical of that statement, but it's true!
i’m on 38wr85qc now. I think about going back cause I miss better text clarity of 4k panels (I use monitor for work at first place)

In BO6 you can set the HUD the way you want it. With the mini map in the bottom center
But not for Warzone as it seems :/
Holy crap dude. I play on a 49” G9 Oled and I just learned through your video I can move the mini-map back to normal! Thank you!
Same 😂
me too lol
Me too. Playing on 65inch oled

What do you mean you preformed best in the ultra wide?? Your kd was highest on the widescreen. I would rather go 12 and 2
Then 33 and 28 lol.
Why it doesn’t appear to my this option ? I play on a Xbox series s is it for that or what am I missing?
Can you do a review on Nzxt 4090 player three PC ??
I don't think that 10 games on each monitor was a big enough sample size
for competitive fps UW isn't really advantage(even if by "logic"" it should be) just play on what you prefer
Thank you for this video
Sir, can I pick your brain about something? First time PC user and I’m having trouble with my call of duty settings.
Dude I switched to an lg 800 r 34 inch ultrawide and it ruined my aim . I cant figure out something that feels good for the life of me
Reduce your sensitivity, it helped me

I hate the black bars on the main menu.
Is there anyway to fix that cause I’m having the same issue and it’s really annoying it only goes fullscreen when I’m in the actual game

Your fov shouldn't be 120 on a 21:9. At least on cod multiplayer
Measure kils depending on ultrawide or not 😂😂😂 come on dude, it has nothing to do with it just imersion you like and get used to monitor
