RNG plays a factor. You want a star or rings from the first item capsule then stars or boosts from the rest. This is beatable since getting two, three, or four stars is possible. 1:40 is possible. The only real barrier is your patience.

@TheDivineGodGhost21 sonic free riders is a good game, but the kinect problems just ruined the game for most people. But at least it really was fun to me, I recommend it.

However, I do get the assumption since Mario and Sonic is exclusive to Nintendo consoles because SEGA forfeited the console wars in 2001 and became a third party developer. Come to think of it, why hasn't Nintendo considered buying SEGA? Think about it, SEGA clearly trusts Nintendo the most out of the Risen 3 (that's a Beyblade reference) when it comes to releasing games exclusive to 1 company, as well as adding Sonic, Beyonetta, and Joker (or, as I like to call him, JOOOUKAAAH!!! (that's a Kamen Rider reference)) in Super Smash Bros.

This seems familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on it... Hmm...
Sega is toying with my emotions just give me a new sonic riders game there’s a fanbase and so what if free riders messed up don’t make it with full body motion just have it like a modern version of sonic riders 1 controls. Also if they were to do it have a larger cast because I played the first 2 games and the cast at least are mostly the same. Change it up somehow like sonic all stars racing transformed add some other characters people might like or would be cool. And have good music like most of the time.

I'm trying to help my toddler with his game. So I understand you press R to power up before he starts racing but after he bolts at the starting gate he loses speed. What buttons do we press so that he runs fast during the game?
You have to press A as soon as it says go. It’s pretty hard to do. You can’t press anything to speed up during the race. Press A when you jump off a ramp and press A again when you land for a boost. This game is probably way too hard for a toddler. Even at 4-5 years old I couldn’t play sonic racing games very well at all.
