There are multiple times in this video where BK starts to say something and then there is a jump cut that completely cuts off what BK was going to say and I know that LSV did this on purpose.
After the discussion about just giving up with a weak sealed pool because it takes too much time, the next opponent is named "KeineZeit" which means "no time"
I think either of the 1st two decks had a chance at getting there. The first deck could splash vanishing verse basically for free. Removal was your main weakness and with two bandits, pylons, and two black deserts you can just cut your worst card for it and run it. It seemed like LSV was kind of impatient to get this over with and also in a gambling mood so he wasn't that invested in the outcome or deck. It's good content, but I do think there were some splash opportunities that were missed in the first two pools and a few loose plays that may have made the difference. That's besides the fact that we gave up our very good G/B pool with a solid rare (bronco) and an insane one (tumblewag) alongside very good commons and uncommons. Not to mention the possible blue splash looked solid. You had a lot of free fixing and geralf is good in your deck as is make your own luck. Don't mean to be a hater because this is still very entertaining! But thought it was worth mentioning some of these alternate builds as potential missed opportunities to get there on one of your first pools.
1:30:30 can also just play wrangler and pass, you'll still make the 2/2, which seemed like it might be worth considering. (Absolutely would not have ended well with hindsight, haha)
At 1:34:20, I think we should use detention sphere to remove buried in the garden, and then remove the grizzly with the aegis, getting the option of turning mercs into 4/2s. It would not be of much difference this game probably considering that every point of lifelink mattered, but still. (The drawback would be opponent drawing artifact removal specifically, but the only common artifact only removal is derailment, and we are not beating it anyway...)
That was me in game two! GGs, what an honor. Appreciate the pointers, but I don't see how I could have saddled both Arynx and Gila (8 min in) since I needed to pump the Arynx with a mercenary so it would survive the attack. This run was a heartbreaker. 6-0 start then lost out.
Doh! Gila saddles for one. I held up on the turn LSV wondered why I didn't attack because I was holding first Glamer and didn't want to trade in case he had beef on the way. Was that a mistake?
My teammate Scott "Churro" from SMFC points out that I could have been attacking with first strike Arynx, blown out a double block with glamer and flickered the Posse Boss. Drat. I got super lucky that the early point from double pumping Arynx was enough to get him for exactsies. I was also forgetting that Gila lets you play the exiled card until your next turn. Ya live and learn lol.
LSV just straight up Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Minded the poor Ornery Tumblewagg in the second pool out of existence =( Before the game he's asks "Do we even have a single rare in the deck?" and BK only mentions Caustic Bronco, then after when deciding to drop he's like "This pool just doesn't have any good cards!"
oh i think you are right though, it is against tos to receive outside help isn't it? not sure how much that's a real rule because they don't seem to mind all the people using programs to help them during drafts, it's definitely not very enforceable. but maybe still wrong to break it, especially in an event where there's prize money? kind of a shame because i always like the duo drafts but now i'm conflicted, would be interesting to hear what lsv's philosophy is on this (he may have mentioned in a previous video, i haven't quite watched every single one)
Having watched about a million BK co piloted matches I can pretty confidently state that BK’s presence doesn’t actually affect LSV’s choices when he’s the pilot. Now if BK had been the pilot and LSV had been the copilot… I think we’ve seen enough on stream over the years to know that LSV as a copilot can influence the pilot’s decision making process, and this isn’t limited to BK sessions.
@@jeffreyculbert2093saying LSV is better than BK doesn’t really change that having help in a draft is wrong. What you’d get banned in chat for back in the day was when LSV was copiloting for Gabby and you pointed out it was wrong.
I’m not arguing the competitive integrity aspect here. It’s a clear integrity issue. I’m merely stating that the upside of quality content and exposure is a net benefit to all provided some semblance of true sportsmanship is maintained. It’s definitely the case that in the past LSV copiloted streams did this less well than they do these days, but it’s a lot of those learning experiences from the past that allow for streams like this these days where competitive integrity is still maintained to an appropriate degree while the quality of the content is simultaneously improved and the simple joy of playing MtG shines through in best ways.
@@cowgirlqueen2636 Not if you have a pool filled with a bunch of busted rares, sure. There's so much variance compared to other sealed formats of the past which is what people dislike. It feels like a total lottery, there's a lot of bombs in this set and having so many rares in your pool makes it feel like a total roll of the dice, if you open up a bunch of bulk you're going to have a really hard time going the distance.
wouldnt say one of the worst, but one of the most inconsistent. the gameplay is still really good, but thanks to play boosters and the large amount of bombs in this set you will sometimes (a bit too often) play against decks that are virtually unbeatable, who just drop a bomb every other turn. there is also a ton of easily splashable recursion, and sealed games often go a bit longer, so you better enjoy killing bonny a couple of times in a row. This format is just much better in draft tbh.
wait, LSV quoting Karl Marx?? be still my beating heart 😍😍😍 (i.e., "from each according to ability to each according to their need"... Marx's pithy definition of socialism)
When you mouse-over the cards in your hand to indicate your sequence of plays, the split-second rapid-fire pop-up of each of the cards is distracting, especially when you toggle between two cards multiple times (e.g. 7:23). Please, hover for a bit longer so that they can be read. Alternatively, if there is a way to turn-off the pop-up and/or substitute it for a simple outline/highlight that would be helpful and make a better, cleaner, and smoother viewing experience.

"you don't get to see my d--" was 100% intentional
The one after the 3rd loss for the first pool where he says "you dont get to see my d-" feels especially on purpose lol

dont be so sure

“Did you have fun that match?” Lmao, I weirdly did have fun demolishing my opponent
I knew I was going to get some good Magic, but I didn’t know I was going to get some all-timer BK Beats.
This video was brought to you by hardbristle bandit.
This is a fun one cause the boys are just vibing
Yay. Love to see you draft on Arena LSV.

No introduction of BK, no idea who he is. But he sounds like a good MTG player!
Yesss!
I'm just here for the grover drizzly.

Tried three times, lost my first match to a bonny pall deck every time, third game had two copies.
Lsv be looking like big daddy Rizz
So much content, lovely
13:30 OP Punted… They should’ve saved Glamer to Blink your Duelist next attack 🤦🏼♀️
wait is this dual play is that allowed in mtg terms idk
There’s a lot of bad rares though. The commons in green are better than a lot of rares in other colors
BK!
I wish there were more current set tournaments on MODO
turn 2 bandit drawing ability is on point... until it wasn't

I've read the ToS and this is illegal. I'm calling the cops.

Crazy how having a mana dork in your opening hand every game affects your win-rate...xD
I've heard this is one of the worst sealed formats ever
Makes sense with the imbalance of rarity cards
Ever play against 3 Bonny Pauls in a single game? You will in this Sealed
That’s not necessarily true

ah man that first pool the 2nd game you lost i think would have been a win if you'd played the Tumbleweed card and made a 4/4
But HAVE YOU EVER 3/0'd a draft before ??
