Had two Fear of Burning Alive in a deck previously. Awesome card, even better when you get to cast one with another already in play, triggers both with delirium.
Try to mouse over the rooms when you're talking about them, if you can remember to do so. Everything else can be read at max res, but rooms don't show their card text by default.
Hey bud! Just played against you when you were playing azorius at rank 3 haha! I wish we could have had a better game because I've been a fan of yours for over a decade, but sometimes mana screw gets ya lol. I was the rank 37 guy that *looked* like mono red, but honestly even if I drew a forest idk if I could have beaten your draw haha very strong! gg and I hope I got you to rank 1! I hope you keep playing so I can catch ya on the ladder 😉
Ive also been enjoying duskmourn barring the obscene flooding ive had every game. I played peer beyond the veil with 8 lands left in my 18 card deck and drew 5 straight lands. I also played a 15 land deck and drew 4 lands in a row
I love the Sac deck this time around, i think ive drafted it more often than any other deck. I even had a mono red version trophy for me, that was a fun ride
Can someone explain 14:50 to me, i thought at the time he cast the room its didn't had ward and ward only checks on targeting, why does he need to pay the ward cost?
One piece of (hopefully constructive) criticism is that I'm not a huge fan of the cam placement. It's right over your hand when you've got 5+ cards. Over the pet seems like a better spot?
Going to comment before watching the games that I'm slightly worried about the creature count here. The deck looks great otherwise but I think you maybe wanted to take some more unexciting creatures just to have enough curve filler, especially at the 3 drop slot. I know appendage amalgam (the 3/2 that surveils) isn't great but maybe you wanted a couple just as something to put out on turn 3 (you didn't really mention it as an option but you had a couple opportunities). Has a little bit of synergy with all your instant speed removal and the delirium stuff as well, though again, I don't think it's great just might have been necessary. My experience is that the creature light decks rarely do well in modern limited magic although there are niche situations where they can work out (usually in a spells matter synergy archetype) simply because it's generally better to be the one asking questions than answering them. Usually I'm concerned if my creature count is below 14 (and in many cases I want it higher than that). I think even with counting the land cyclers and manifest cards we're only at 10 creatures? All that being said, your 2's are pretty solid so I could still see this deck doing well, but that hole at 3 and 4 mana in your creature curve is a bit worrisome. But there are some sweet rooms that can be sorta threats so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. edit: So after seeing the games play out, I do think a few more creatures would certainly have helped (there were some awkward moments where you had nothing in the yard to get back or just didn't cast any spells), but this set is interesting in that your removal spells left behind material in a lot of cases, and that makes them better than removal spells typically would be because you were getting some value. So I do think that changes the equation somewhat from past sets where most removal is a 1 for 1 that doesn't leave behind any material.
I know Arena isn't literally rigged, but in that 4th game where you kept a 3 lander and drew like 8 lands in a row, that's something that happens way more on Arena than paper. People will say that's just conspiratorial or superstitious, but it 100% happens to everyone more on Arena and its because Arena legitimately randomizes the deck. Human shuffling is far less likely to do that, even if not intentionally. So when people complain about online shuffles like it's out to get them, no, it isn't out to get you, but yes, you are experiencing wild land heavy draws more than you would in paper.
@@bufels You'd be surprised. The deck would be sufficiently randomized, but you will never create the level of randomization that a computer can generate without wasting a lot of time. There is a distinctively "human" and repetitive method to how we shuffle and while it does "randomize" the deck, there's a reason why you rarely hit 8 land pockets like you'll frequently encounter on Arena. The way you pick up your cards after a game and then shuffle has a pattern. It may feel random to you, but even after 10 mashes/riffles, you've still replicated a pattern. Arena's randomizer doesn't have this issue.
You can pause the video. It's the 2 little vertical lines bottom left on PC, and a short cut for it is the space bar. On mobile it's in the middle of the video after you press the video once. Hope this helps.
This set is definitely solid but i feel like you'd change your mind on it a bit if you were playing on mtgo vs arena. The decks you've posted are just not even remotely realistic imo.
@@ianmiller8399 He's saying that since the competition on MTGA is relatively weak compared to MTGO, Luis is able to build crazier decks than he would be against tougher drafters. I haven't drafted on either in a while so I can't confirm whether that is true or not anymore but it used to be.
That argument doesn't really hold up, as that would mean every good player's decks would be better, in turn neglecting the advantage of having a stronger deck. At high mythic, everyone would just have better decks, so there are no relative advantages, just higher overall power level.
More please. There is a shortage of high level DSK draft content. Cheon and Nummy can only pump out so much. 🎉
Cheon rulez.
@@adambunnell1035 If Cheon is so awesome then why does Luis beat him nearly half the time, huh??
Glad you're also enjoying this format! My favorite in a long time. Wish a certain green rare was a mythic instead but that's sorta my only gripe
Balustrade Wurm at rare was a fascinating decision
So tired of losing to Leyline of Mutation smh
my decks don't lose to a 4 mana do nothing
@@jackdickinson4937 losing to a leyline in drafts is insane work
@@jackdickinson4937nice accomplishment losing to that card on limited 🤦🏻
I found the Bloomburrow drafts a real chore, but this format is much better and interesting to watch. Keep them coming!
Never seen LSV before - what a great guy! Keep up the good work, I love it.
hey i was in this draft pod! always fun to see the perspective from someone across the table!
Love watching one of the best magic players draft. Hope you continue to upload more draft vids

@29:57 Thanks for a good laugh to start my Monday morning 😂

Craziest start to a sac deck I've seen since Adventures of the Forgotten Realms where threatens and sac outlets were common

I think Rakdos is my favourite 2 colour combination, so I thoroughly enjoyed watching this.
The joy of showing up first for some Sunday afternoon horror
I did my self 7-8 quick drafts this weekend and I am loving Duskmourn Draft too! 🎉
drawing 16 lands in a row seems legit.
Lsv has a knack for that
At 43:00 Does Norin give you a shot at getting that Bomb from underneath the morph?
my dog also digs in his dog bed, makes the same sound, I think they like scratching that specific material as a type of fidget

Great stuff
Too sweet.
Im not usually big into drafting but ive done atleast 6 or so drafts for this set so more Duskmourn content would be nice
lmao, LSV, paul and numots all fighting for that top spot rn
59:00 not attacking with the Hordecaller first means you get 2 attack triggers and make 2 gremlins, so your fancy play was better.
Can someone explain 14:50 to me, i thought at the time he cast the room its didn't had ward and ward only checks on targeting, why does he need to pay the ward cost?
The room only targets after it's on the battlefield as a triggered ability, not when it's cast.
Your #1 in my eyes
Wow LSV, you really found your lane p1p1. I envy you. :D
26:17 - why no attack?

Teach us, sensei
Man, I wish I had drafts like this
Do you upload all your duskmourn drafts ?
This would have been so sick if you got a dissection tools.
Norin + threaten is also a fun combo. Shame it'll only happen approx twice in the entire format.
wow #10
loving to see Nummy, Paul Cheon and U competing for #1 , such a fun run!
Ghost vacuum has been a bomb tbh, it shuts out several decks by itself, no reanimator, no delerium, and lategame it just wins.
Yeah I really like it. I actually had it in a reanimator deck once and that was a lot of fun
It's tough to play against, shuts down a lot of stuff
The face-cam overlays the newly drawn card really makes it a little weird during
the matches
"Sprinting to Mythic #1..."
At 16:05 we see a literal Eomer since the Hordecaller picked up +1/+0, ha!

How come I see so many players first picking gold cards in this set when I’ve always thought it was bad to first pick gold cards?

Entity tracker is such a disgusting card
Madeline Tunnel
Did LSV know that if you play FOMO when empty-handed, you draw a card?
Beating of a deck.
How do your opponents do nothing for four turns while mine always have some bullshit like Valgavoth’s Onslaught or Wandering Rescuer?
I'd love to have the ability to instantly know the best play.

you have to be shuffling pretty badly with your paper deck if you’re not randomising it properly
