    I just ABSOLUTELY love you and your hair. We have THE EXACT hair type but yours is a tad bit longer lol. It's hard to find a good channel with my hair type to look for ideas and help on!

    I feel as if my 4c hair is dry no matter how many times I oil it. It has grown but not at the rate I would like it to. Do you recommend Jamaican black castor oil? Btw I love your videos and you and your hair is gorgeous😍😍😻

      Chyanne Maxey Oil is a sealant, if your hair is dry and you use oil, you're only going to seal in the dryness. You should use water or water based products then seal with an oil. Hope this helps :)

      My hair responds well to castor oil & my new love, Alikay Naturals shea yogurt. With my go-to leave ins (Kinky Curly or Alikay), it's a match made in heaven :') For some reason the "thinner" oils give the impression that my hair is moisturized, but the next day when I untwist my hair is like hay lol.

    • @Kimeesunshine
      @Kimeesunshine 7 років тому +8

      Chyanne Maxey i feel like castor oil works better than the jamaican black castor oil. But yeah like others said oil doesn't add hydration to your hair. You need water ( spray water or water based cream) and then you have to seal it with an oil or a butter ( or both). Hope it'll help

    Beautiful 💕 I love watching your tutorials. I use the LOCS method using both aloe vera juice and a water based leave-in, olive and coconut oil mixture, a hair butter cream, and african shea butter.

    The ends of my hair stay dry. LOC, LCO. I need better moisturizers. I cut my hair last week and now the ends are so soft. I absolutely love this style. Lots of possibilities.

  • @Ossouko
    @Ossouko 7 років тому +4

    LOC method does not much for me so just a leave in and my own buttercream mix . If I add oil it just seats on my hair... my low porosity must be some next level ish 😂
    I started to put a bit more on my ends and now my hair break less and looks healthy . Victory 1...Finally!!
    I used to trim a lot because my ends always looked brittle and damaged when all they needed was a bit more moisture and cream... The way I wasted length retention I tell ya 😒😆
    Now need to be consistent with it.🙃

      MRSKINKY1 How are you supposed to apply oil?

    • @Ossouko
      @Ossouko 7 років тому +1

      MRSKINKY1 I tried LOC then LCO on freshly washed hair. I use a t-shirt to get the excess water out for at least 30 minutes. My hair was damp each time and I can confirm this method does absolutely nothing for me. My Low porosity hair doesn't need so many layers it's counterproductive for me.

    • @sondolmd7522

      I do my hair like this-- probably every other month, for a week or so. My hair stays curly if I retwist it into 5-6 large twists.

      Lol! WELL, I don't know how well it held, but if your edges are as resistant as you claim, then I say they need to go ahead and make you an ambassador. lol! Beautiful results! Love this channel...You're so gorgeous, and your smile is breathtaking. You're more than welcome!

  • @misscraze4036
    @misscraze4036 7 років тому +7

    Sincere question: Do you trim your hair? If so, how often? My 4c ends always look like yours and I'm always trimming/cutting it away. B/c to me my ends seem dry/rough and possibly split. Which is preventing me from getting longer lengths.
    I'm thinking of just letting it grow with ZERO trims and see where that takes me but last time I did that my natural hairstylist said I needed a min of 4" cut 😩 which I'm also trying to avoid doing again. #sendhelp

    • @Ossouko
      @Ossouko 7 років тому +6

      Miss Craze you need to focus on your ends more like she does in the video. I put more of my butter cream on my ends they're the oldest. Also you may need to hydrate your body more ,products alone is not the solution for most, we have to have a good diet and drink a lot of water 😉

    • @misscraze4036
      @misscraze4036 7 років тому +2

    beautiful hair. question: can you moisturize your hair even if it isn't freshly washed? like how you you suggest I keep my hair moisturized during a twist out work week? lol tfs

    • @courtneyp9488
      @courtneyp9488 7 років тому +2

      L B you absolutely can, if it's during the middle of the week you can use a spray bottle filled with water to spritz over the hair and then proceed to do the LOC method or for me when my hair is in certain protective styles I moisturizer throughout the week with oil in an applicator bottle and apply it to my scalp
