Lovely memories with my family. I first went to the Two Sisters at 7yrs old! So happy you enjoyed the food!! Next time try Arnaud’s, Commander’s Palace and Galatroires. I haven't heard of a place with so much French influence such as in New Orleans. Thanks for sharing history and cuisine. Louisiana is definitely on my bucket list to visit :)

I am glad you liked it. Its really not the best though and not even that close to being the best.. There are a couple of dozen restaurants locals vastly prefer. Its still pretty good though these days. It had a really bad stretch when it became a relatively mediocre tourist trap. It still is a tourist trap, but the food has vastly improved from what it was 5-10 years ago. People can legitimately argue over what is the best. I think Irene's is, but there are probably a dozen other places that you could make a solid argument for.

I live in a outer city of New Orleans, an I'm messaging you, to let you know that, you may not be aware, but turtle meat, depending on what part of the turtle you get the meat from, can have a part that taste like various different other meats. Such as beef, chicken, fish, or even pork. Louisiana Snapping Turtle 🐢
