Sorry for not uploading last week, but I decided to skip that week to be able to make this video twice as long. I really couldn't fit the topic in a 4-5 min video, at least not the way I wanted it to do.
For those of you who don't know, this is actually a reworked video - I covered Sleeper Sharks in an early video but deleted it maybe a month ago with the intention to rework it.
But because the original was one of my first successful videos and a lot of people(that are now my subs) liked it, I felt I really had to deliver. Hope I did ; )
With the rework now finally out of the way the next videos will be normal-length videos again - so expect a new one during the next week. After all the plan was to upload more and not less ...
Facts in Motion Could you please add subtitles to your videos?
Thanks, keep up the good work.
I learn more here than in school
Facts in Motion The quality of these videos are outstanding! Your channel is far underrated!
I will try to add subs from now on but I seriously don't get why youtube still tries to add german subs by default.
every possible language and country setting for the video I could find is set to English.
Facts in Motion could be because of your accent
Could you imagine living over 300 years just to die getting tangled in a net? That's almost insulting
Yeah, it's really bad for their population....
Not to mention 150yr old virgins 😅
Entirely insulting...
Sleeper shark: I'm with kayla and she's is an amazing shark
Sharks bro: *wait you know she's only 145 years old right*
How is this not top comment lol
@@asagoldsmith3328 idk I thought it was dam good. Thanks tho
I know zomeone with that name it feels weird to read your comment
@@DIEGOGarcia-ey3vh someone who compliments themselves doesnt deserve a top comment.
Shit, she told me she was five years older!
It kind of blows me away how well illustrated and animated these are. Everything is so detailed and nice. You do a really good job
Thanks!
sharkhub got me
sharkhub
*SHARKHUB*
What exactly is “sharkhub”???
@@alltnorromOrustarNorrland a parody of pornhub
While they may not seem as exciting or intimidating as the more well known sharks, I've always been incredibly fascinated by sleeper sharks
Considering they regularly eat krakens, I'd say that they're pretty intimidating.
@@gingermcgingin1733 very true
The thumbnail on this video is pretty much the cutest thing I've seen.
Excellent video as usual Roman.
Thanks!
Sleeper sharks the closest we can get to an animal having the life span of an elf. That I know of.
Emperor Master Here are some more to add to your list: Tuataras (a New Zealand reptile species, 100-200+ years) Tortoises (Galápagos tortoise) (190 years) Whales (Bowhead Whale) (Balaena mysticetus about 200 years) Large parrots (Macaws and cockatoos can live up to 80-100 years in captivity) A bivalve mollusc (Arctica islandica) (aka "Ming", lived 507±2 years.)
Some corals can live to 1000 years old
Hydras and the Turritopsis Dorhnii jellyfish are suspected to be immortal
I love Nessie swimming by at the end
The illustrations made in this video is not rectangle animations we usually see at "In a nutshell".
The sleeper shark almost looks real!
They researched into the seal killings of the Aleutian Islands. They determined it was Greenland sharks due to there unique jaw/teeth and there good sense of smell that allows them to track prey, they rely on this over there poor eyesight, in the waters around the islands. The suspected the way they catch the seals is when they rest/sleep underwater as you mentioned due to there camouflage being ineffective against the sharks sense of smell.
When I read "sleeper sharks" I imagined fish that weren't sharks and then you say a code word and it triggers their brains into becoming a shark.
I will forever have that image of a Greenland Shark piloting a F/A-117 Nighthawk etched in my brain along side Tyrannosaurs in F-14s
Sharkhub without shark action. I think they will run out of business.
I laughed out loud at the SharkHub :D

Column A- Tiger Shark
Column B- Sleeper Shark
Column C- Great White Shark
Column D- Shaquille O’Neal
🤔One of these is not like the others🤔
Bruh the end kinda or almost gave me tears with the fantasy ending music and waiting for a long time for another journey to happen
I was here before 1 million subs!
Corne Koorn been here before 900 subs
Corne Koorn I've been subbed since 70K
TheUniversalAcid Yeah what the hell? Riot!
Definitely one of the most interesting and entertaining educational channels on UA-cam. Been here since 10k subs, you'll be at a million in no time
The worst tasting food on Earth. Question: who thinks that is edible.
Y'all goin' crazy! That's just Spongebob n' Patrick in a shark costume! There we're stuck in' they couldn't get out, they we're tired, so they slept.
*Shaquille O Neal*
Chaquinn More like SHARquille O' Neil
shark pilot in stealth fighter killed me! too funny!
shark hub
LUGOZZI ahahhaha mannaggia ai teteschiiiii!!!
the fact that they found a 30-50ft Sleeper Shark in japan scares me. wich means that sleeper sharks is the biggest type of shark. bigger than the whaleshark
the loch ness hypothesis would also neatly explain how there could be sightings for over a century
The fact that you use the SI-standard of measurements is just another proof of your awesome work, guys!
Keep it up, i really enjoy this format!
:D
You are improving so much! I've been watching since your first video, and before you had 1k subs. Everything about your channel is just splendid, and I'll be sure to keep watching. The first edition of this video was great, but you completely blew it out of the park. Keep up the amazing work!
i actually study Shaquille O'Neal sharks
I hear they’re among the most revered sharks at shark basketball games
I love 1:14 how the shark's brain looks like sushi...
I love your videos! The amount of effort and passion you pour into each episode truly shows. I tell people all the time about the kinds of things I learn in your videos. Thank you so much for your contribution to the learning society!
Welp the videos on the Sharkhub is quite brown for a shark....
But who am I to judge
real nice vid, i'm one of the guys that came to your channel over the old vid and could have never imagined that you would remake it even better
good job dude, keep producing such great videos
Great video, best shark species to date also cracked up laughing on the Stealth Plane scene.
Dude!! Facts in Motion is the fucking best!!! Smoke a hitter and run UA-cam on the big screen!!!! MIND. BLOWN. 🤯
1:51 Shaquille O'Neal on the far left bookshelf.
You are one of the most underrated fact channels and it's a shame that you aren't more popular. You have interesting subjects, good animation, good editing, and a really nice voice. I wish you success and hope your channel grows.
I've ALWAYS loved Greenland sharks. They're so amazing, and the fact that when you eat them they bite back makes them even cooler. They're like the pineapple of the sea.
I didn't know Greenland Sharks could live in freshwater, even briefly, I learned something new today lol
The attention to detail is absolutely brilliant and the backgrounds are just beautiful!
The intro is Shark Men in a nutshell and depicts me when fishing
I just googled these guys. They don't look as cool in real life as they do in your vid. But that's ok. The vid was quite informative and well animated. You just earned a subscriber. Good work dude!
1:51 That Shaquille O'Neal on the left side was a very tasteful placement.
Sharkille O'Neal lmao
Shark Hub LOL you got some humour there :)
WOW, the animation really improved!
Shark hub page looks familiar...
The image of the Shark piloting the stealth bomber had me laughing so hard I hurt my throat.
i am loving these drawings really well made
The animation is amazingly well done. What software do you use?
Such a good quality and it doesn't have the views it deserves.
I find sleepersharks realy fascinating cause its realy fun when they drag away from super sharks
01:55 hmmm im fully interested to explore the book shelf on the left, thats a new species of shark that even my biology teacher's book doesnt cover
3:38 octopuses.. octopuses...
Please say octopedes or octopi
english isn't my first language, so I often google unusual words to make sure what I say is correct. What I found is that the correct plural of "octopus" is either "octopodes" (because it's actually greek and not Latin) or "octopuses", which would be the anglicized version. Neither "octopi" nor "octopedes" seems to be a thing.
Popopopopooppopopmpop pop
"Octopuses" is the correct use of plural of octopus.
Kevin Taylor The word has been thrown around, it was at first “octopuses”, then switched to “octopi”, and now it’s officially “octopuses”. Plurality depends on where the origin of the word comes from.
It's octopuses.
Shark hub is my favorite website after all.
The ocean is a terrible place filled with the most disturbing and biologically impossible animals on earth. Let’s just keep it at 15% explored.
SeanNotConnery isnt it 12%?
It's 5%
SeanNotConnery nooooooo. I'm actually going back to school to get my aquatic biology degree. So you can blame when we discover more of it!
HAH! the Shark getting a MRI "Hey Doc my shoulder hurts" :)
Finally people having interest in this amazing shark
Following you before you reached 1k. Bro, your video quality has improved a lot! Keep up the good job, love your videos!
Truly great production.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this previously and in light of the great care you take to make these wonderful videos, I hesitate to offer a correction. In the beginning, when you are covering the diet of these creatures you show a cephalopod but, refer to it as a gastropod. The cold water environment does not contain many gastropods due to the increased solubility of calcium carbonate in frigid waters. Some nudibranchs possibly but, they tend to prefer warm tropical waters.
that sharkhub thing killed me :D
I put on your videos when I want to nap
Anyone else just get a 20 minute ad? I love this channel and all, but I am not sitting through an ad that's longer than the video itself.
You know. Cause breathing is careless. These seals get no break.
Thanks for the video. It was very informative. I knew about them, but, the contents of their stomach took me by surprise. These are the sloths of the sea. I love it!
I didn’t know Mr Kobayashi from Usual Suspects has got into commentating
I watched again and you do include a gastropod in the stuff pulled out of the sleeper sharks stomach. It was the order that threw me.
The coolest of all sharks, I see what you did there
Wow this happened to coincide with a speech about pacific sleeper sharks I have to give in class tomorrow. Cool.
Love the intro man!
I love watching your videos. Always so interesting
1:51 the first bookshelf says Shaquille O'Neal lmao
Wow, a third video on sleeper sharks, I must admit I miss the original one though.
Your animation skills have greatly improved!
Very well done video. highass quality stuff m8
HAHA I LOVE that Shark Hub
I love this dudes voice
I would argue that the weird findings in their stomachs supports the theory that they're scavengers. Especially the giant squid beaks, since giant squid are so large and strong, I doubt they'd be an easy enough target for even a shark of that size. I think it's more likely those mammals died in or near water, sunk down, and were then scavenged by the sleeper sharks. While sperm whales don't go to the very tips of our planet, they can get very close to them, and I don't think it'd be impossible that a sperm whale killed a giant squid that was then not fully consumed, and later found by a sleeper shark.
Totally love the animation...
The Frilled shark and the Greenland shark are my favorite sharks. I wonder what everyone else's favorite is?
Geez seals have such hard lives.
"Whos up for some rotten shark tonight? "
I really like the sound of your voice and content. 🙋🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Shark Hub - ha! Nicely done.
Loch Ness as a Greenland shark? Hmmmm very very interesting idea.
5:36 "Target Acquired!"
Fascinating information and beautiful animation, a great combination. What country are you from, as I'm trying to work out your accent???
thank you for remaking it😊😊😊😊😊😄😄😄😄😄😄
I really like this channel
SharkHub? I may need to activate parental controls on my comp now.
Great video, love your content and delivery style. Keep it up!
Inuit legend says they swim up rivers and ambush caribu as the try to cross, in a similar manner to a crocodile hunting wildebeests.
SharkHub lol that made me laugh today. thank you ☺
LOL Nessie is in the background in the end.
#EasterEggs
I want to visit SharkHub..... for science xD
Wait, wasn't this video called something like: the only shark known to eat giant squid. Or something like that?
Shak is my fav shark species
Could be the case that sleeper sharks feed mainly on carrion which has been preserved by the icy waters of their habitats. Who knows, maybe some of the bodies from the Titanic Disaster may have been sleeper food.
6:50 i don't care this is the best shark video ever
Wait a minute...
Why does that narrator sound exactly like Three Arrows...?
