Not initially focused on technology, but something much more fundamental. Starting a conversation between people who we may not necessarily agree with. But we recognize that has become incredibly hard nowadays. We as a society tend to wear our favorite company, favorite brand, favorite political party like a sports jersey at the stadium, which makes it so freaking hard to then speak to the other team about most issues. In your realm, the debate about team red, or team blue can lead to viciousness in the comment section. In reality, there's more in common than what we tend to realize. That's what we believe in here on our side regarding real life. To improve our world, we need to realize that one side doesn't have all the answers. There's incredibly smart people on both sides, not necessarily representative of the person at the helm. Apple (obviously) has some business practices that not everyone would agree with, no matter if you're on team android or team iPhone. We can agree on that. But they make a dang good phone. Both are true. Does that mean we shouldn't buy iPhones because of certain business choices? Equally, yet oppositely, does that mean we should ignore these business shortcomings and all buy iPhones and negate the wrongdoings? The answer to both is no. Two things can be true. Apple does make great phones and has exercised some poor business choices. There. It's that simple. Now that (most) of us can agree on that, we can both now direct our attention on trying to fix the shortcomings, to improve the overall product. Not by boycotting, but by a combination of compromise and some mild critical thinking. We are aiming to apply that to a more everyday way of living. Take what's good in part of our neighborhoods/communities/everyday life, agree on what we can, and spend more time on figuring out a realistic way for you and me to benefit.

Which leaves Nvidia.....they've already basically given up on reasonable gaming GPU's, they're just making AI cards and rebranding them....and while nvidia directly puts out some more reasonable sized cards.....AIB's don't, and they don't have much incentive to change that. Strix halo, and whatever APU nvidia brings about are PROBABLY going to kill the entry-mid level discrete GPU market. But even that isn't going to happen overnight, especially since we don't know what the performance numbers are or what the price will be. I don't want devices that are thin enough you can bend them if you hold them to firmly, or devices that are so thin they require exotic materials to prevent that, driving the price up ever further. Cloud gaming SUCKS. I say this as someone with 10 gig bi-directional fiber internet. It's not just the unpredictable bandwidth fluctuations, connectivity problems, or latency. It's the fact that cloud gaming is the final stop on the road to erasing any ownership of games. Why waste bandwidth letting people download the game when they can just stream it for a fraction of the data? Physical releases are already dying off, this is just one more nail in the coffin to ensure it. But that's not all! As nvidia has already been trying to hammer through, why bother manufacturing, advertising and marketing hardware to consumers, when you can just CHARGE THEM a monthly fee to use whatever hardware they deem adequate through cloud gaming! Want better fidelity? Higher monthly fee! Want better features? Higher monthly fee! They're already regulating how much time individual users are permitted to use the service, and if they want to play for longer time....HIGHER FUCKING MONTHLY FEE. Every failure of the U.S population is rooted in looking at everything in terms of immediate convenience while giving no consideration to the inevitable consequences.

This is actually the most pretentious Austin has ever been... calling matt a pleb for enjoying cloud gaming whilst Austin is sitting there on his $5000 gaming computer (and yes his switch lite)....
Lasik eye surgery is amazing if you are a good candidate and can afford it. I had it done two years ago and it has been life changing. I had glasses since first grade.
