      A wooden shoe! Worn mainly by dutch people and we have been surprised that the many many dutch here in France are still wearing them!

      @@dublinvanlife466 Clogs or "sabots" are more stereotypically associated with the Dutch because of the swampy nature of their homeland; but were commonly worn in the French countryside by farmers. They're not as popular since the introduction of working boots but are considered to be a traditional shoewear in many regions of France. Thus, the famous line: "En passant par la Lorraine avec mes sabots..."😁
