Thank you for the best review I have seen on the stock, it was actually nice the action wasn't in the stock, I was thinking I might change my mind on the stock but you just answered all my questions
$600.00 before color or camo? I was struggling with the Boyd's Custom @ $200.00, didn't realize just how pricey the McMillan's are to start. A quality rifle action can be bought for $500.00 and tuning the harmonics of your rig pricing will vary, but $1,100.00 to start to 'build' a good hunting rifle seems a little excessive to me. Sure, I understand that Long Range, or Ultra Long Range requirements are much finer and require deeper pockets, but I sense that many (most?) people buy guns off the rack and shoot happily for years for well under $500.00. Seems a little rich for my blood- no harm/hate intended. Great review and it looks the business, even like the imbedded aluminum pillars- nice touch.
Congratulations grayboe team on the groundbreaking stocks you are turning out. A solid epoxy, true fiberglass stock with built in features at an affordable price . . . and no long waiting times.
Robert Fry by far it’s the most popular action type. Not just Remington but almost every aftermarket action uses a 700 footprint. They are working on savage, tikka, howa and Ruger as well
Well I've just looked at their website today (Feb 10, '24) and they still don't list Howa, Tikka, Savage or Ruger. Seems to me they're not interested in other action types.
Have you yet followed-up on this Grayboe Ridgeback Stock video as promised? It has been a whole year, and I'm interested in any further opinions you may have!
@@GunsandTactics where's that review. Especially now that you mentioned the 5r which is what I want this for since I cant cerekote my hs precision stock.
I can buy two magpul hunter 700 with a full bedding block and have come left over for accessories for the prove of one ridgeback with just pillar bedding. Over priced AF!

I picked one of these up and used it in a local match. I really like the stock. Nice, and the only, first look.
I agree, I have been digging mine. Review will be out later this fall hopefully
prices on these new hybrid polymer / nylon stocks are ricidulous.

What about the big bolt on the right side for the cheek piece for left hand shooters that shoot a right hand gun ?
You can replace it with a small bolt
The mlok slots are sweet

just been on their web-site, these stocks are fantastic..............if you own only a remington ????????????

I will be buying one soon!!
Just got the bottom metal, great as well. Can’t wait to get the review video done this summer
$600 for pillar bedding?
600 for the stock which is already equipped with aluminum pillars. If you compare this to other fiberglass type stocks you’ll see the value it is.
totally agree, KRG bravo is more cost effective and Mcmillan is also having a plastic stock coming out in the fall

Not yet video will be coming out this month. Stock has been great. Few little things learned but impressed.
Review is live!
@@GunsandTactics Thanks, I watched and 👍 three days ago!
Thanks so much for the "Stock" tip.... I too am a dad
Got a build your stock options right, for the children!
can I fit a 7mm saum barrel in this ridgeback stock?
Check the chart on their website for dimensions. It’s a large path so most likely.
Have you had a chance to get an action in this stock yet?
Yup I have my seekins havak in there now and tested a rem 5r. Full review video late fall. So far so good
@@GunsandTactics where's that review. Especially now that you mentioned the 5r which is what I want this for since I cant cerekote my hs precision stock.
I was about to ask this exact question. I checked through the library of videos, but no follow up...
How much is it?
See at 7:55 start at $600
@@GunsandTactics even more than HS and BELL and CARLSON? Strange
Only cater to very high end weapons and Remington. A lot of cash !
Do they make one for howa
I’m not sure. Give them a shout and let them know what the market wants
The Howa should fit as it is a Remington clone.

You shouldn’t look at the other stock manufacturers prices then :-)
@@GunsandTactics I am well aware of the astronomical prices but come on the h&s oem stock from a 700 has a aluminum bedding block.
Great intro
Thanks!
what kind of review is this don't have barrel action
I knew there would be one...hence why I mentioned this wasn't a review :-)
Did you say deversify we don't do diversity in my home 🤣
