I've been playing guitar so long that not much really gives me that WOW factor anymore, but John 5 is always playing fast, clean, and smartly using tone. It is just awesome!
John 5, is definitely one of the most technically proficient players I've seen that's absolutely right at home playing virtually any style of music that comes down the pike. A complete musician in my eyes, in the truest sense of the word.
I've been watching john for so so long and he just gets more incredible every time. I wish i could thank him personally for being my biggest influence and inspiration in my playing!
John 5 . I'm a guitarist and I'm amazed by your playing versatility. You make me laugh and shows are great. If I can catch you l will. Good work and good luck. God bless.....Mark G p town nj
This guy has some serious chops! It seems that he is like something as new and different as when Eddie came on the scene in the '70's. Awesome showmenship. But I can only handle so much of it at one time. I love when he trows in a really nice melody or two, cause he has nice ones. It appears clearly that John 5 has made his deal with the POD.
I was at this show!!! they just recently played again at another small Sacramento Club but I was out of town so had to miss it.... this club is really small so you are no more then 20ft from the stage..... but they defiantly don't turn down the amps! it was the shit!!!
Un deleite para la la vista ver sus diferentes técnicas en la guitarra y un deleite para el oído escuchar sus composiciones...... Un súper guitarrista muy virtuoso!!!
reminds me of buckethead, atonal tapping, shredding, lots of different foreign styles, caver songs, and just that awesome weird vibe that so many guitarists are afraid to play in
I saw John 5 trying iconic guitars out on Hard rocks channel. What a fantastic guitarist and a lovely guy. Cant stand all this thrash shit he pays here. I dont get it. The Jazz stuff was phenomenal.
Ditto man , dude is loving every minute of his time on guitar and earth . How many of us with the exception of Lloyd z Christmas can say that. Kizzy 😎🤔🤔🤨
@ 3:32, i noticed, J5 is ALMOST playing AHEAD of the beat, but still in sync with 4/4. This might be natural?, but is bionically hard to do...and @ 3:51, the bassist has a god halo.
The Comic Genius that is John5. Or is that Cosmic Genius ? Well hell, I can't watch these and not laugh. Dudes hilarious. One of the best all time guitarist IMO. He is a pro and can play anything.
Back in the early 80's Steve Morse had a customized Tele with four pickups. And Steve is not known for his fretboard restraint. John 5 and Steve Morse... ...what a killer duo that would be.
Love guitar and shit but I got to the 5 min mark and there was nothing that grabbed me. The comment section is a love in but i don't get it. Like, its cool to play fast i spouse but fast or slow it cant just be a bunch of bs, you know? (I get that hes tech)
Lest we forget: Michael Angelo Batio was and is the real genius for the hyper fast stuff and influences so many, despite people/internet entities who may laugh at him.
Bass is buried in the mix, but he was definitely playing the opener. Even the drums are subdued. There's not much balance to the EQ here, John 5 is a gifted player no doubt but balance across the band & some dynamics would be good.
Hahaha! 🤣🎸 I remember guitar being very loud during this show but wow! We don't travel with a soundguy, so it's what the FOH decided on. Chances are it's also because John is the only person who doesn't use in-ears, so there's a lot of guitar around to get into the mics.
Sometimes,....you come to you-tube and you wind up staying every second of 1 hour and 17 minutes,.....after that, I`ll be back in about a week after I figure out what to say about John 5 and The Creatures. Obviously John 5 is the reason I need to wait until the speechless wears off,................................................. ...........................................................................................................................................
While John is appreciated in rock circles. He doesn't get the respect he deserves. The guitar seems to be an extension of his body, and he's in full control. If you play guitar, and this doesn't inspire you. Your dead!
He's actually boring when he uses 100 effects with Rob Zombie. He's much cooler when he plays in the raw form. He shows what a true Master guitarist he truly is, setting himself further apart from the pack of guitarist drones that are out there.

Wow
What a cool show
Hard core crunchy shredding! Hits your SOUL to the point of being BLESSED! Thanks John!
this kid on bass is a killer!
Going in February 2023 to see him. Can't wait.
Oh gosh thankyou
I've been playing guitar so long that not much really gives me that WOW factor anymore, but John 5 is always playing fast, clean, and smartly using tone. It is just awesome!
Are you related to Tim Driscoll?
John 5, is definitely one of the most technically proficient players I've seen that's absolutely right at home playing virtually any style of music that comes down the pike. A complete musician in my eyes, in the truest sense of the word.
Well said
+1
This guy could run rings around Yngwie. And unlike YJM, John knows more than one scale.😃
Thanx 4 th@ Constructive Critique
@@lespauldisciple3349 Lol... This guy would shit his pants next to Yngwie. What a joke.
@@lespauldisciple3349 Do u really want to compare. They are all unique in their way. If I u enjoy that's all that matters. Mm
I am 11 and since I was 8 I have always wanted to go to John5s concert but I miss every single one
I've been watching john for so so long and he just gets more incredible every time. I wish i could thank him personally for being my biggest influence and inspiration in my playing!

The coolest sweetest outsta sounds I've ever heard in my life. The best guitarist in the world. I wish I could see him in a setting like this. Omg
Well done John! All that, plus a history lesson. Loved it.
This guy is so talented.. John 5 and the creatures.. Amazing band!!! Nail's every note!

Thanks for the great work! John 5 is amazing.
OMG...Look at the phones getting this down for history. Amazing.
Lloyd Christmas on the bass guitar. Never knew he played.
So you're saying there's a chance.....
Lloyd Christmas is a man of many talents.
Harry is a sick guitarist too.
And John has a Harry cut as well. Maybe it's their favorite movie too.
I was thinking Mr Spock can rock, but Lloyd Christmas is so much funnier :)
Reminds of Chet Atkins my father listen too long ago.
I get more amazed by the guy, every time I hear him
Same here, one of my new favorites.
You must be deaf
Yes!! How fun was that. This guy is cool, man he can play. From Hee Haw to Metallica. Love it
John 5 is an amazing artist!
Un deleite para la la vista ver sus diferentes técnicas en la guitarra y un deleite para el oído escuchar sus composiciones...... Un súper guitarrista muy virtuoso!!!
John 5 is a guitar god! I wish I can play that good.
Anyone can take lessons and be pretty good. To play like this guy, you have to have a gift.
Half as good would be beyond my peak ability
reminds me of buckethead, atonal tapping, shredding, lots of different foreign styles, caver songs, and just that awesome weird vibe that so many guitarists are afraid to play in
oh you're saying it good?
He's good. But comparing him to Buckethead is like comparing Tommy Lee to Buddy Rich.
This cat is amazing.
The Telecaster is my favorite model of guitar. THANK YOU JOHN 5 for showing the Tele can be a legit shredder's axe.
oh come on.... I wanted to see this show!!!!!!! Bu tI live in Portugal!!!!
Amazing!!!! 1 Grammy please!!!!
Don’t hate cuz your not the one in a million, appreciate the creativity and mastery brothers.
I love the country shred frilly stuff 😍
that bass player is so underrated
Wherever I read comments, someone is always said to be underrated.
Absolutely

Thanks for posting ! \m/
The talent, jesus.
Motha fucka, that solo at 24:15 is a perfect example of why john5 is the king in my book. Always bringing something new to the table, diversifying.
This is absolutely epic.
Who else is guilty of watching him play "beat it" at least twice?
Can't wait to see him live soon in Ottawa, Canada!!!
I couldn't watch this alnight it would get stale after a while it reminds me of a kid playing in his room to an album
Oh man, Loyd Christmas on bass, laughed my ass off when I read that...so true.
I saw John 5 trying iconic guitars out on Hard rocks channel. What a fantastic guitarist and a lovely guy.
Cant stand all this thrash shit he pays here. I dont get it. The Jazz stuff was phenomenal.
God damn I love this guy.
I was at this show awesome!

You don't need the masks , bro ! You have that guitar to back you up: speechless:
Ditto man , dude is loving every minute of his time on guitar and earth . How many of us with the exception of Lloyd z Christmas can say that. Kizzy 😎🤔🤔🤨
And that kill the damn old excuse “I need a better guitar” 😎

Can honestly say I've never seen anybody play a telecaster like that ! Who knew ? Lol
Back in the early 80's Steve Morse had a customized Tele with four pickups. And Steve is not known for his fretboard restraint.
John 5 and Steve Morse... ...what a killer duo that would be.
It's like watching Buckethead without the bucket. Or the mask.
John 5 is a Guitar Good;-)))
Metallica (John) 5.0. !
And Sting and all J.5's music !!!
I wonder if John felt like this was a gig or just a massive practice sesh 🤔
Awesome talent. A true entertainer.
Not my thing, but John 5 is undeniably a great guitar player .
Love guitar and shit but I got to the 5 min mark and there was nothing that grabbed me. The comment section is a love in but i don't get it. Like, its cool to play fast i spouse but fast or slow it cant just be a bunch of bs, you know? (I get that hes tech)
Yeah, it's a bunch of wank.
Yeah, I guess as background music with a couple of drinks it is cool....but could not watch a lot of this on UA-cam.
Maybe you need to watch a little more than 5mins before rushing to comment
Fucking class this.
First song - Flight of the Bumble Bee
That's what I was thinking.
Lest we forget: Michael Angelo Batio was and is the real genius for the hyper fast stuff and influences so many, despite people/internet entities who may laugh at him.
Batio.....lol. loser
i love the police car sound
he just melted my face!
Intro,,,,,,Flight of the Humble Wasp?
The bass players air guitar at the beggining was phenominal
Bass is buried in the mix, but he was definitely playing the opener. Even the drums are subdued. There's not much balance to the EQ here, John 5 is a gifted player no doubt but balance across the band & some dynamics would be good.

No way the bass player played that intro. The intro was a 6 string guitar lol
John 5 very good 👍👍👍

How does he make the second guitar voice at 46:15? Hidden guitarist :-) ?
Its an effect. You can see him step on the pedal to activate it
While John is appreciated in rock circles. He doesn't get the respect he deserves. The guitar seems to be an extension of his body, and he's in full control. If you play guitar, and this doesn't inspire you. Your dead!
He is great for guitar players watching him helps you think outside the box and I learn something everytime I watch dude.
Amazing guitarist!!!!
How's the bassist at the start, he looks like Sid McCartney. [Sid viscous]
Toca muito ...

99% sure John sold his soul for rock n roll. This is not how we mortals play....
What is the first song. serious question
He sounds like the kid at Guitar Center
Needs a 8 minute plus work called ,( my name is John 5, & Imma, shredd-a-holic). Would be, Glorious. Hail thee Eternal Heavy 🔥
58:50 song name? Please
Van Halen - Aint Talkin' Bout Love
