I'm starting year 12, I want to get a job and maybe look into investing or some kind of business tbh. I'm trying to learn German and I'd like to get back into karate if that is an option. Finally, I need to work on Maths. If I get to do A level maths I need to do a lot of work because we rushed through most of the course and so I'm going to have lots of gaps. I also want to look into uni courses and consider my a levels. So far this summer, I've done nothing and it's been over a week and I've just been watching shows.
You have 11 weeks of summer. If you've finished your gcses and done lots of mini assessments, you need to give yourself a break. You deserve it. It's the same for me, I've had a week of summer so far and have done nothing, even though I need to go over GCSE chemistry and want to do work experience at a nursing home. I promise you, everything will fall into place and there are many that are going through the same thing. Just relax.
as a current year 12, please don't worry! we broke up in march (because of covid ofc) and i didn't even lOok at school stuff until very late august and am currently doing moreee than fine! i'd say try to enjoy the summer, but if you reallyyy want to do some stuff then: 1) definitely get your maths down! catch up on whatever you need to catch up on, and if possible, focus on nailing trigonometry and using sin, cos and tan because they intertwine in wAy more than just basic triangle calculations, 2) try to look into uni courses so that you can tailor the next year in terms of work experience etc if needed, but don't put too much focus on the actual application! if you aren't applying for oxbridge and/or med (as well as a few others), you've got until jan of y13 to submit your application! 3) go ahead with german and karate! use the summer for stuff you enjoy because y12 summer *can* be pretty busy! 4) passive income (like investing) is probably a good call! working is definitely doable but it must be a lot nicer to get that money without having to work 10-ish hours every week. good luck though, hope everything goes well for youuu!
Think of it like a bank account balance. The more work u do the more positive ur bank account. Do go into debt by drifting off. That said, even if u slacked off for 6 months and put in serious work after u can always make it. I wish someone told me this, bcus I always felt 'ahh if I miss one lesson I'm gone' no ur not. U can seriously catch up in like 3-6 months, given ur somewhat intelligent (not saying Einstein lvl lol). I feel teachers don't say this bcus they want you to stay on the ball as many student slack off if they used my method, but for me it was very effective
@@icecold4085 this is definitely true! hard work can be put in whatsoever and it's up to you if you want to succeed. it's really all under our control and if we are dedicated, we will definitely be able to easily catch up and succeed!
hi I 've question! so if I' ll pick four Alevels cuz I wanna study maths at oxford uni so I can study math and further math in year 12 and phyics and chemstry in year 13 ? so can I do like that or no ?
Salaam sister, i have picked the subjects of: Economics, btec buisness(lvl3) , core maths (equivelant to a AS Level). Is it possible to get into a decent uni with these. Please lmk my time is nearly out of time
I'm going into year 9 next year and want to get into good sets and get good gcses. Can you do a video on how you study, your notes and your best techniques ? tysm
@Random User I'm also going into year 9 next yr I want to c Nada do a vid on how she studies as well It seems me and you have a lot that we want in common
Sets are decided in your SATS in year 6 which, ironically enough, I studied for 6 hours, didn't know why I did it but. Alternatively, you could speak with your teachers regarding sets, in my school, they did a test to see if you were applicable for set 1,2 3 etc.
As another chemistry student I'm just curious: What side of chemistry are you more interested in, biochemistry or theoretical chemistry, chemical engineering etc?
What made you choose college over sixth form? I'm curious, are there mainly colleges in your area, as in mine theres only one college but many sixth forms
im doing chemistry, English lit and history and wanted to know if its pointless to do chem if im not doing math/other sciences. I want to keep my options open as I don't know what career I want to go into
what type of school do you go to? im struggling to decide on a sixth form :,) but i know that grammars and religious schools are usually better achievers
wait I have a ques. I m really interested in crypto but in most apps, it says I can't invest with them coz I m 16. n I don't think my parents will allow me to use their bank account to do the crypto thing. What do u suggest I do?
