This was one of the best fishing videos I’ve seen in quite some time, and I’ll tell you why. First off you didn’t edit out all of the short strikes and losses. Secondly when you did lose a fish you didn’t do what every other UA-cam fisherman would have done and say it was a 7 pounder. Lastly it was just a simple video of a fisherman out having fun on the water doing what he loves to do while providing helpful tips and information to other anglers. So with that being said, job well done!....oh and I wonder how many other people who watched this noticed how careful you was being not to make noise when setting down your dip net. 👍🏼🎣
This style of video is fantastic. 4 baits 4 rods a quick explanation of where you are and what you are doing. Then a ton of fish catches and then a breakdown review. Awesome 🥲
Man seeing this pros still getting excited after thousands of fish, let's me know that I'm not the only junkie chasing that dragon out there in the water. Great video and keep it going.
Oh man, nothing better than getting up early and checking out 1 more TB vid before heading out on a week n half long fishing trip! Can't wait to toss some chatterbaits!
I really like the graph instruction that you provided in this video cuz it gives truly applicable visual cues as to what we should be looking for is fisherman.
Awesome as always. I'd love to see a video about follow-up baits: which are best in certain situations and when to use one vs. staying with the original lure.
I want to thank you for making all of the videos, ive watched probably almost everyone you guys made. I dont comment much because you have enough to look at. Wanted to tell you we love you guys and appreciate all of the hard work you put into the channel. God Bless and tight lines.
Matt - great video. Love the videos where you guys give specific details about where you are fishing and why ( not just fish catches). Especially enjoyed the use if map on unit as a visual aid. I am an experienced angler, but the more I learn about this sport the more I am convinced that it I can fish right baits and equipment in wrong area with poor results. All about fishing the right areas even if using wrong baits - the result is better. All the said - lot to learn about finding the right areas with limited time on water. Thanks for sharing.
We've got to do a better job of sharing these videos and helping promote these guys because they're simply the best. I've been following them two years and have truly become a better fisherman because of!
Hello Matt. Thanks for everything you guys have done. I have lurned a lot from your videos your channel is the reason I have grown with my experience and skill for bass fishing..
I wonder how many ppl could say the same. My bass fishing has improved so much ots crazy. Knowing what baits give me the best shot during given conditions has led me to catching way more fish. Thats completely due to watching this channel the last 6 or seven years
You got me to use that hog farmer trailer. I love the action it has with that jackhammer. I’ve finally been catching them on it. Even black and blue in clear water.
Great video. It’s been awhile since you guys talked about your retrieval technique in depth with lures and why you do it. Always good content great lure links. This was a very helpful video.
You're right about the RT Scale Minnow. Overlooked. We brought out so many solid colors that RT Scale Minnow often gets missed. That's also one of Alex Davis' favorite colors.
Haha you guys are absolutely awesome I've learned sooo much from you and tim it's crazy. Anyhow just wanted to say thanks and here's hoping you made home for breakfast . Cheers
Great video! I mainly pond fish and the jackhammer was my biggest confidence bait. I wanted to try the fire craw once I’ve seen the crosseyez chatterbait in stock. The crosseyez chatterbait has taken over for me as a pond fisherman. It comes through vegetation so well and starts up just as fast. Not to mention it’s almost half the price. What’s your guys thoughts on the crosseyez chatterbait?!
Can you do a video on your opinion of the 855c lipless rod vs the 845c cbr? Looking to pick one up for shallow to mid cranking ( square bills and lipless mostly). Not sure which direction to go. I have a rod for sb’s, poppers and pencils. Thanks. Great video as always.
It takes 30 seconds for the sun to come up when I go fishing predawn, zero fish. But for Matt, 30 fish have to be caught before the sun is allowed to rise.
Great info Matt. My spinner bait blades get fowled in my line when I add a trailer. Like 8/10 casts. Any way to stop this? Thanks. Love the vids. Always the JUICE!
I know I’m not the only one that can say this but I love when I know EXACTLY where you are fishing makes me feel like I’m in on some kind of secret ! 😂 😂
I like how some people ask Tim and Matt why they aren't using baits/terminal tackle variances.. I don't see them watching your how to videos for the last ten years..
Every time I get to the end, I hit the like, as soon as you ask us, Matt. But I swear it only let me subscribe that first video almost a decade ago. Just know id subscribe to every video y’all post 😬 👍
Hey Matt...do you ever add chartreuse or colors to your lures? It almost looks like in the preview picture that you added some to the chatterbait. Thanks!
I know y’all prefer the double silver blades on spinners. Would that change in a bluegill fishery if the largies aren’t chasing shad? Or is it just a shine factor?
Hey Matt, does the fast action zodias have more of a moderate action? Is that the reason for using braid to leader? Was looking at the 610 medium for roll casting 3/8 ounce in tight places. Thanks
hi matt this is a weird question how does that aluminum boat handle with the ultrex cuz I know how heavy they are compared to a non spot lock trolling motor? i have a 1989 champion 17'8" and i thought it would be to much weight up front or maybe I'm just over thinking it? thanks again for all awesome videos love night ones idk if you guys will do those soon❤️☝️🙏
Matt, why don’t you use a trailer hook on your spinner baits if you are getting short strikes? I almost always use trailer hooks on my spinner baits especially depending on the size of the bottom blade unless I’m fishing near wood. Love the channel btw
Anyone else cringe when he was casting thinking he might snag the rod sticking out of the boat behind him? Loved the video and when I saw it was 33 minutes long I was smiling!
Might be a dumb question, but how do you know if your fishery has shad? Are shad the tiny fish that school together and stay near the top of the water?
Do lipless have to be fished over grass? I've heard they have to be fished over or grass or you're wasting your time. Similar to how a crankbait has to be on the bottom to be effective. Is that true?
Hey Matt, what size ultrex you running on that rig, I’ve got a 16’ tracker grizzly and I’m on the fence if a 24v terrorva is over kill on them light weight rigs like mine
Thanks to hummingbird shortages, I’ve been fishing blind since October 2020 on my new boat. It’s been a good experience, I’m wondering if I really need my electronics. Caught a 6lb’er today.

Absolutely right!! Very limited amount of youtube channels i can even watch anymore. Love these guys!
Right? Love this channel.
The first thing I noticed was how quiet he was being in the boat. I'll have to show my "bull in a china closet" nephew!! Haha.
This style of video is fantastic. 4 baits 4 rods a quick explanation of where you are and what you are doing. Then a ton of fish catches and then a breakdown review. Awesome 🥲

Oh man, nothing better than getting up early and checking out 1 more TB vid before heading out on a week n half long fishing trip! Can't wait to toss some chatterbaits!
luckyyyyyy
Good luck!
The Matt Allen chuckle is the most contagious thing ever! Can’t help but smile
Spinnerbait and lipless so far is my favorite early morning bites
favorite time of day everything is fresh and new. birds song the only thing disturbing the quiet. love the morning bite!
Gods creation
As I've said many times before, you guys are master educators and have the best fishing videos in the world. Thank you.
How anyone could down vote Matt & Tim's videos is beyond my level of comprehension.
They saltier than a yamamoto... but in reality watching their fishing footage does really hit me in the feels pretty hard too, I'm just not a hater.
Yep it's there it's real I don't think it can get any better than that
Right? 8 people disliked this video.... for what?
Most likely, people just hit the dislike button on accident...or they don’t like that they’re giving away all the secrets!
Man I got 4 bass today and thought I had an alright day. Matt did that in 4 minutes 😂 Awesome vid guys, as always
He lives on an amazing fishery and does it for a living
Back here finishing the video after surgery, absolutely my favorite UA-cam channel.
I really like the graph instruction that you provided in this video cuz it gives truly applicable visual cues as to what we should be looking for is fisherman.
I love all of the videos, but these are my favorite. The just going out fishing ones. What a teacher you are. It feels like I'm right there with you.
Man what a beautiful morning. Nothing like starting your day with that view and catching fish.
The best mornings always start with Tactical Bassin!
Absolutely agree just makes everything better 🎣💪🎣
Perfect for my work commute this morning thank you Matt!
Awesome as always. I'd love to see a video about follow-up baits: which are best in certain situations and when to use one vs. staying with the original lure.
I agree man! Follow up casts are almost an art form on their own!
This maybe one of the greatest videos I have seen..... Thanks for all of your great content....

Great video! I really appreciate you breaking down the baits at the end of the video! Thanks!
You guys are truly the best thank you for your time and knowledge!!!
How do these videos not have 100k+ views??
We've got to do a better job of sharing these videos and helping promote these guys because they're simply the best. I've been following them two years and have truly become a better fisherman because of!
Because its the same stuff they have been talking about for years. Lol.
@@CommodeToad 👎
@@maxwellholland5395 i still watch em. Just saying
@@CommodeToad Even if they say most of the same stuff, I can always use of refresher of their fishing knowledge.
Digging the sandals and waders....
Thanks to you guys the spinnerbait and lipless have become favorites for me, especially the spinnerbait.
Hello Matt. Thanks for everything you guys have done. I have lurned a lot from your videos your channel is the reason I have grown with my experience and skill for bass fishing..

That's an awesome day and makes me wanna live on the water.. Catch a bunch and then head home for breakfast
Nice video brother helps kayak fisherman for sure
OMG all before breakfast! Good job!

Great video. I like the part where the school is “down to 3 or 4 fish wondering where their friends have gone”.
Yes! I love all the videos you make especially the ones that you have done most recently.
You're right about the RT Scale Minnow. Overlooked. We brought out so many solid colors that RT Scale Minnow often gets missed. That's also one of Alex Davis' favorite colors.
LOL, Matt is slumming it in the jon boat, but still has an Ultrex on the front.
This is such a great video thanks Matt! Going into my tournament tomorrow morning at Melones with this in mind!🤘🏼
GREAT VIDEO!!!! love the explanation and showing the pattern
Great informative video..... THANKS!!!
Haha you guys are absolutely awesome I've learned sooo much from you and tim it's crazy. Anyhow just wanted to say thanks and here's hoping you made home for breakfast . Cheers
missed um......Got um.....missed um....That is the storyline of my bass fishing career! :) Great vid man! :)
awesome fishing!! Just ordered my Shimano Antares21 DC
Went out this morning on our local lake in San Diego, Ca. and smashed them on that exact pattern. Early morning shad spawn is awesome.💯👍👍
Love that you went home from breakfast afterward :)
Man I love this video lol I’m fired up
Always amazing instruction. What do you do if there isn’t another place to visit to run the pattern ? Like on smaller bodies of water
Lol no electronics is close enough to bank fishing i suppose! Haha nice one!!
So do you catch 150 fish everytime you go out? You caught more fish before the ad than I did all day yesterday 😄
Hi Matt, would love to see you or Tim shoot a video on bank fishing something different than usual, thanks and tight lines👍👍
Great vid. I wish we had some shad around here.
Great info thanks Matt 😊🎣🎣
Hey Matt & Tim, how often do you re-tie your Braid to Leader knots?
That's a good question.
Missed em' Got em!!! 😆
As always....great content.
The way this video was made was awesome, how long is that boat?

Can vouch. We've been takin' em to the clinic recently with spinners and chatters.
Great video love the channel very good tips
You and Tim doing anything for brood x ? Cicadas are coming!!!
“It’s a little chilly this morning” proceeded to wear flip flops
You can take the fisherman out of California but not the California out of the fisherman.

What line should you use for reaction lures
You sure you made this video for UA-cam? This is like getting a private lesson! Amazing!
This is what it looks like when Matt Allen is having himself a good time
I like how some people ask Tim and Matt why they aren't using baits/terminal tackle variances.. I don't see them watching your how to videos for the last ten years..
🔨🔨🔨 absolutely hit down the hammer today Matt 🔥🔥
Yea that early morning bite is the best. But on our home lakes by sun up you have to deal with 1000 boats beating the banks
Every time I get to the end, I hit the like, as soon as you ask us, Matt. But I swear it only let me subscribe that first video almost a decade ago. Just know id subscribe to every video y’all post 😬
👍
Matt, when are you going to take the jet boat on some skinny creeks in east TN? Ott DeFoe has a similar rig and has some great water he fishes in it
I was on that same deal this morning down here 💥🎣 but wind kicked some lunchtime Florida tanks after.
No matter the temp, Matt will sport the flops! LOL
Truth, every word 👍💪👍💪
Hey Matt...do you ever add chartreuse or colors to your lures? It almost looks like in the preview picture that you added some to the chatterbait. Thanks!

Matt did you ever get a treble hook it the hand, love you videos
Hands down my favorite is strike king natrul shad 1/2 and 3/4 ounce
Does the top of the water look any different when bass are schooling?
Hey Matt, does the fast action zodias have more of a moderate action? Is that the reason for using braid to leader? Was looking at the 610 medium for roll casting 3/8 ounce in tight places. Thanks
Doesn’t get much more exhilarating than that chatterbait bite at the boat! Probably how they came up with the name Jackhammer?
Any reason why the chatterbait was prioritized last? Guessing the spinner and lipless are the better shad imitations.
Does this work on fisheries that don’t have shad? Most of the ponds and lakes that I fish only have bluegill
hi matt this is a weird question how does that aluminum boat handle with the ultrex cuz I know how heavy they are compared to a non spot lock trolling motor? i have a 1989 champion 17'8" and i thought it would be to much weight up front or maybe I'm just over thinking it? thanks again for all awesome videos love night ones idk if you guys will do those soon❤️☝️🙏
Matt, who makes that jet boat and what model is it? I’m sure I missed the video of the walk through...
I may have missed the update, but how was that other spot you said you had biopsied? Everything ok?
Matt, why don’t you use a trailer hook on your spinner baits if you are getting short strikes? I almost always use trailer hooks on my spinner baits especially depending on the size of the bottom blade unless I’m fishing near wood. Love the channel btw
That bird noise though 👌

If they're silvery probably so, if they're dark it's probably some type of fry

Manufacture of the jet boat?
Would these work in the northern states?
My lake already have a ton of grass so I've been catching em on a frog, tons of fun
I love frog fishing and flipping heavy cover
Do you use a trailer with a spinner
Do you not need wind to throw a spinerbait?
