I finally started buying the baits you’re recommending. I’m such an idiot for not buying them sooner. I’m an even bigger idiot for not upgrading rods and reels. Talk about a difference, especially those cranking specific rods. I don’t lose as many fish.
Your burn burn burn pause has helped me more than anything. I’ve been killing them for a month on center hill lake on nothing but a crankbait. Thank you for your tips!
cant get enough of your videos, ur the only youtube fishing channel that I feel isn't forcing their sponsors brand down our throats. Would love to see a fish finder buyers guide video. I'm looking for my first fish finder for my kayak and would love some info and recommendations for people that have no experience with fish finders whatsoever.
i used to throw the old deep wee r rebel in the crawfish with a red belly caught a 11lb largemouth years ago so i love crankbait fishing and spinner bait fishing thanks love what you do for us.
Thank you for the suggesting on the proper positioning of the hooks on the crank baits. I never gave it that much thought before. Now, I have to go through all my boxes of cranks baits and check the positioning. I bet, half are face the wrong direction. I have learned a lot from you guys! I highly appreciate your efforts and time!!!
My go to for fall crankin'....that's easy...Strike king 6xd in pumpkin spice color...Humans aren't the only living things that go insane for pumpkin spice flavors......crank those points with coffee shops located near dropoffs
Just threw a Berkley Dime 4 for the first time today. If you guys haven't tried them yet, you should. They burn and hunt very well. They also have a very slow rise on the pause(almost a true suspend). I don't usually do well with crankbaits, but today was completely different. The only problem is I'm tired. I spent all day speed cranking for the first time. The fish would only hit it if I reeled as fast as I could. As soon as I got home I ordered a handful of colors in each size and I really hope the other sizes act the same as the 4. I heard they were designed for speed cranking and decided to get one to throw for an hour or two just to try it. Seeing what it does in the water was the first time I ever said "oooh I like that" about a crankbait and didn't throw anything else the rest of the day.
LoL literally typed this in my youtube search yesterday. Love this channel / love your content / love the intro music NEVER CHANGE IT! I am a noobie kayak fisher / fisher in general. Havent had any big catches, but man I am deep diving. Also, made a few large purchases on tackle warehouse, because I get it :) Thanks guys for what you do!
Thank you guys for all you do for us guys that don’t get out as often as we’d like to. Man you guys sure put it all out there for us and I’ve put into action so many of your tips that’s paid big time catches. Thanks a ton!!
Man, Tim you are so good at what you do. Here on Bull Shoals I'm seeing fish chasing shad in 20+ ft when on the boat, but those times I just want to drive 5 minutes without the effort of launching the boat, I shore fish. Either way I'm out everyday for at least a little while. It was like a lightswitch flipped last week and the baitballs were in the creek arms, huge baitballs and tons of em. But when I've shorefished this last week, I have seen a few absolute monsters swim by me, in 2-3 ft of water right on the bank, just like you'resaying. The only issue is getting them to bite. They're feeding, but there are so many baitfish, that it's difficult. I've hoverstrolled Matt Stefans new rig down through the middle of the bait and out the bottom, deep cranked, jerkbaits, swim jigs and its just tough, even though the fish are there. I know once it cools a bit more, I'll blister em on jerkbaits as usual, but it's frustrating right now.
It made sense to me that that's how the hook should be positioned in the back. I looked at other baits for reference when I started changing hooks and they were wrong from the factory.
Always appreciate the information that you and Matt share. I use to hate changing hooks until I bought a pair of the Texas tackle Split ring pliers at your recommendation. Best on the market.
Too funny, recently saw a pumpkin spice latte on the menu and thought of Tim’s comment from last year. And, at Home Depot last week and saw the Halloween decorations. Love this time of year and have my IMX Pro crank rods ready to throw my favorite baits. I’ve learned so much from Matt and Tim over the past 3 years. Keep up the great work!
The bass are all over the bait at my bank fishing spot down the street. My favorite time to fish there. They keep the bait fish pinned at the end of the lake that I have access to from the bank. I'm hoping everyone else haven't noticed yet
It's CRANKIN' TIME!! Crankbaits and Jerkbaits oh boy! Two of my favourite hardbaits for smallies and largemouth! Great video Tim and thanks to you and Matt for all the great knowledge on when and where to use, the baits and gear! Hunting for smallies this weekend up here in Ontario where Halloween decor has been out since Labour Day!
I'm not a crankbait expert by any means. I did, however, fish the Piedmont division of tournaments with the experts. Like David Fritts. I think I should fish nothing but crankbaits. I seem to catch more fish with them. I believe because I cover more water and change baits more often. I appreciate your tips and knowledge about crankbaits. Thanks for sharing. Take care. One more question...when you launch your boat, how many crankbait rods do you have rigged on the deck?
Tim! You never have to apologize for talking for 40 minutes. What you tell us is very valuable. Can you tell me if you are still throwing soft plastics? Or is it reaction bite a 100% of the time? At the moment the only thing that has been getting bites consistently is the Texas Rage Craw. Thank you for what you do Tim. You have really helped my fishing.
Thanks Tim for another great video! I was wondering if you know how to fix a Berkeley flicker shad that doesn't run straight more than one cast after adjusting or if it is just broke and also if you recommend them for bass. Thanks!
Didnt seem like 40 minutes i was into every minute. The IMX 845 is the deal for lipless for me and i have you guys to thank for that.thanks.Tim how big were those two fish you caught on 1 bait.
You have said "warmer and cooler water". What temps would you say are are those Temps? I am going to a new lake next weekend and am in a kayak so limited range but want to find some bass.
I have a question, would you still use a lipless crank in lakes that don’t have grass? Because I fish the kentucky lake and I think they’re is some grass, but I don’t really know where it is. But would you still use the lipless or some other type of crank?
This is only my 2nd year fishing. My daughters boyfriend is a BRAID guy so that’s what I use. What all do you use Braid ( straight or with leader) and what do you only use fluoro for?
I know I'm not Tim, just curious why you want to change them out? Those Katsuagi outbarbs are crazy sticky, and if fished on a proper jerkbait rod and not horsed, they get pinned and don't come off. The only issue I've found is if they bounce off of rock, they'll become dull quickly. The best I've found for a replacement in that case is BKK Speer hooks. Otherwise, I just replace them with the OEM Katsuagi outbarbs (because they baits are so well balanced and refined). Most hooks drastically change the action and stance of the bait. An out of the box 110 is very difficult to fowl, unlike most jerkbaits that must be worked a specific way or they wash out and fowl hook themselves. I know I'm just a stranger on UA-cam, but jerkbaits are my jam. I own over 500 jerkbaits, 200+ are Vision 110 or variants, (+1, +2, and Jr's), and fish them year round. I've found that you can catch very large fish with Katsuagi hooks without bending them out, but they have to be fished on a purpose built jerkbait setup. Anyhow, tight lines, man.
@@Tbowie13 I don’t replace them right outta the packaging. When the stock outbarbs have gone kaput that’s when I’ve swapped them out. I used the Aaron Marten’s finesse nano trebles they recommend, but while they’re super sharp they’re also really brittle and they rust easily.
once you get on your first cranking bite/pattern, youll never leave the house without some type of hard, lipped bait tied on. it doesnt work every day, but the days it does, its insane how many fish and how many big ones you can catch.
i tried contacting on website but no response should i return my dobyns fury 735c for a daiwa tatula xt rod its cheaper and feels lighter lmk asap please
I finally started buying the baits you’re recommending. I’m such an idiot for not buying them sooner. I’m an even bigger idiot for not upgrading rods and reels. Talk about a difference, especially those cranking specific rods. I don’t lose as many fish.
We are glad that the recommendations are working for you 👊🏼
Caught my PB this summer on a tactical DD. 🤙🤙
Riiiiight $20 Crankbait lol
Your burn burn burn pause has helped me more than anything. I’ve been killing them for a month on center hill lake on nothing but a crankbait. Thank you for your tips!
Thanks, at the right moment, changing hooks on cranks in the right position.
Lipless cranks are my go to and they really do smash them when you jig them off the bottom. I do the same thing with a chatterbait in the summer.

When will you make your tactical crank n the true 25feet deep crankbaits

Thanks!
You guys are the best. Appreciate everything you have taught me about bass!
😂🤣 OMG Tim I guess my comment reminded you about the
“Pumpkin Spice “ I can’t stop laughing 😂 😂😂 because it’s true 👍

one of the best Tim's vids

Yall sure have helped a lot this year thank u!!
I crank a 2.5 square bill and got a limit out on the canoe the other day, they Def fatten up for winter up north here
I love following you guys! Heart still broken and I will never be able to fish and garden trip with Matt. I’m clear Lake.
I never stop cranking! 😂😎🇺🇸🤙

I love the Owner 36 hooks on my dedicated lures. The ones that I catch the most fish with.
Caught a couple nice bass on a SPRO rock crawler after scouting a lake in southern Wisconsin for duck hunting today.
Always appreciate the information that you and Matt share. I use to hate changing hooks until I bought a pair of the Texas tackle Split ring pliers at your recommendation. Best on the market.

Fantastic, really a good job
Good stuff Tim, thanks for sharing
I got couple of your tactical dd cranks last TW sale. Looking forward to fishing them fall & winter
Now you got me thinking, I'm gonna have to paint some cranks Pumpkin Seed color with a Starbucks logo added . 🤔😂
Guy down the road has friggin Christmas lights up already.
😳
Would love to see you guys do a video on the new 6th sense Panorama bait
The lucky craft bds3 hands down has caught me the most fish in the fall up shallow
Whats up fellas... hey what about a flat sided crankbait? I know it's a little colder water bait maybe but I didn't hear much about those, ✌️
love the crankbait videos my favorite way to fish...the megabass 300 in your video the one you are holding wat color is that called plz?
Are you running an EWG up front and a round bend on the back of that 6XD? 🤔
The bass are all over the bait at my bank fishing spot down the street. My favorite time to fish there. They keep the bait fish pinned at the end of the lake that I have access to from the bank. I'm hoping everyone else haven't noticed yet

Yes Sir, I get excited when jerkbaits start slayin! It's hard to beat that cat and mouse game...too much fun!

Texas rigs work year round. There will always be fish that hit em, some hit reaction, some Jigs etc.
Great stuff as alwAys. How long of mono lead do you recommend.
Thanks Tim for another great video! I was wondering if you know how to fix a Berkeley flicker shad that doesn't run straight more than one cast after adjusting or if it is just broke and also if you recommend them for bass. Thanks!
The favorite is biggie, and Lv500
Is there a benefit to having one red and one silver hook? What's the juice on that?
Good shit Tim
Fall!!?? Walmart already has Christmas decorations out. 😂😂
I find that this time of year, the faster you reel your shallow cranks, the better they bite.
I know you guys are big fans of the SLX line of rods for budget options, does that include their glass cranking rods?
Didnt seem like 40 minutes i was into every minute. The IMX 845 is the deal for lipless for me and i have you guys to thank for that.thanks.Tim how big were those two fish you caught on 1 bait.

Tim, great video! I know you guys are South West of me in TN, I'm in MD. How long does the Fall Crankbait trend last?
Just ordered some of your baits off TW. Got their 15% off sale. Hope they work (I fish TVA lakes too including Watts Bar and Chickamauga).
What’s a good mid priced budget speed crank combo?
I have a question, would you still use a lipless crank in lakes that don’t have grass? Because I fish the kentucky lake and I think they’re is some grass, but I don’t really know where it is. But would you still use the lipless or some other type of crank?

Yeahhh there's the pumpkin spice reference 😂
By any chance did you guys get a chance to test out the VMC Redline trebles for Vision 110 hook replacements?

Would the IMX Pro 904 be good for the big/heavier crank baits or is that rod really better for the smaller treble hook SB?
Costco has Christmas stuff out... Baby its not even cold outside yet.
Rapala square bill bluegill 6ft water Tennessee River wearing them out
what color is that deep x 300 Tim the one you are holding?
Million dollar idea: pumpkin spice flavored Bait Fuel. You're welcome.
Tactical Bassin videos are how I cope with my inability to get away from work to go fishing. Keep cranking out the content! (Pun intended 💯)
I can't seem to catch anything on crank baits any time of year, I don't know why lol
Fall turnover really monkeys stuff up. Make a video on what to do when ur lake is turning over
You are the best and help me and my little boy to learn english 😅
Sucks my lake is 6 feet deep tops and so much algae can really only use spinner bait cuz I'm decent with them a senko and a frog
Cranks just don't work for me. This video will help me out a ton since I must be fishing them wrong
once you get on your first cranking bite/pattern, youll never leave the house without some type of hard, lipped bait tied on. it doesnt work every day, but the days it does, its insane how many fish and how many big ones you can catch.
@@tagg946They were working last august and it was a ton of fun but this year not so much. I'm looking forward to trying again
Got 1 better... hows bout the Pumpkin Spice frosty from Wendys ❤❤❤
👁️🪶👁️
Same information in the past 2 years. But i guess you have to crank out 3 vids a week and make those views happen so it makes sense..
i tried contacting on website but no response should i return my dobyns fury 735c for a daiwa tatula xt rod its cheaper and feels lighter lmk asap please
