"I'm not gonna be any good for anyone, but I'm here." Sometimes that is the best we can do and Heavenly Father makes up the rest. He softens our hearts and our efforts are enough in Him ❤️❤️
It has been my experience as well that a broken, humble heart can be a listening heart. A broken heart is not a comfortable feeling at first, but it can lead us to find greater joy.
That scripture (Proverbs 3:5-6) helped my dad when I was in a coma at Primary Children's Hospital. The comfort that can be found in the scriptures is astonishing.
Sister Cordon, I was at the Primary Children's Hospital when you visited at that time (December 2016). I had been there for four months with my precious teenage daughter who had been experiencing some intense physical challenges. I will never forget your kind words and warm embrace after our sacrament meeting. You were Heaven sent to my tender heart that day. Thank you for your service to me. I will never forget it.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful experience!
Beautiful. And, I'm so sorry you lost your little grandson
There's nothing like, nothing better than, persinally feeling that love and grace from our Savior and Heavenly Parents!
Funeral, Burke, Va. March 18, K. stuchlak
It's amazing how often I hear a message at the exact right time when I need it. Messages that on other days might go over my head. I struggle in my faith sometimes but when I am ready and look for it often a message comes my way that seems specifically for me.
Thank you for tuning in and for your comment!
Thank the lord ❤️😇
It is amazing where we find those comfort words. For you, on a board in a child's hospital room. For me, from my eight-year-old son who comforted me when his father/my husband passed away unexpectedly. He said "It's OK, Mom, because we will see Dad later." Then he hugged me and wiped my face with his little hand. What a saving message that was for me. Thank you for sharing yours with us all.
He is so very aware of us and what we are going through and He knows what is best for us. We are healed as we serve others and serving others is how we serve God. It's pretty awesome!
These talks have helped me to focus more on how I hear Him. I see pictures of the right answer playing out. I never realized I see them before. As well as the feelings. Thanks for helping us focus on this.
Thank you for tuning in!
I am truly so sorry for the loss of your young grandson.
Hey Sister Cordon🤍I found healing two years after my grandmother's death when I was baptized into the Church and learned of the Saving Ordinances in the Temples. The Spirit was guiding me before my Baptism and teaching me after my Confirmation👻Doctrine & Covenants Section 88. Sincerely🖖😇
Amen thank the Lord and you for sharing SUCH ENLIGHTMENT
When I hear Heavenly Father and serve him, He knows that he can call me and I will listen...
One day in May of 1994 I was driving home from work. As I passed by my neighbors Nancy's home I had a feeling I should take her cookies. I drove on home and started dinner and started my children on their homework. As I was making dinner I again felt strongly that I should take cookies to Nancy. As dinner was cooking I made NoBakes and put them in the fridge to cool. After dinner I ran down the road to Nancy's and took the cookies. She smiled and thanked me and we visited on the porch for alittle while. Many times throughout the next two years I felt a strong impression to help her and my young son and daughter or I would take dinner or cookies to her. One morning two years later I was getting ready for work and I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door and it was my neighbor Nancy. She ask me if she could visit with me and I said sure. Nancy wanted me to know that every time she had a bottle of pills poured into her hand to commit suicide, my son, daughter or I would knock on her door. Nancy said she was tired from her Father's passing away and a divorce she had gone through and she just did not want to live anymore. She said through our love and compassion for her she knew someone care and loved her. She started taking missionary lessons in our church and she and a few of her family members joined.
I have learned through listening to Heavenly Father that he has a reason for my serving and to me it was just a plate of cookies but to him it was watching out for his precious daughter. We are his hands... Amen
We appreciate you sharing your amazing experience!
@@churchofjesuschrist Thank you that's so sweet. I because Nancy's visiting teacher for 12 years, before we moved away and she became a wonderful sweet friend in my life.
It's so hard when your mind is full of thoughts, for example when you're highly anxious, to hear His voice. Grateful for these hopeful posts.
God Knows Where We Are and How We Feel❤️. I Love Him and He Loves Us😌! God Bless You🙏.
Thank you Sister Cordon! 💕💕
When life leaves a hole in our hearts, Trust in Him to bless us with the panacea to fill that hole with Love. It’s another blessing for keeping to the Covenant Path. You will see your beloved grandson Once again across the veil. I say this with love, in the name of his beloved Son, our Savior Jesus Christ Amen.
Sometimes I don't want to go set up chairs or go move someone. But the Lord has called me to do these things and I go. I know I will be richly blessed.
So beautiful. Sorry about your loss, thank you for bringing hope.
Thank you for always sharing!! I love the church and am so grateful for testimonies and trials, there is always light on the other side, thank you! ❤️
I really needed this today. Thank you Pres. Cordon!!
thanks too
Amen
No matter what we go through he is there for us. He lights us and strengthens us. Never ever give up on him becuase he will always ALWAYS be there for you when no one is AND HE WILL UNDERSTAND YOU
Thank you Bonnie, in this day an age I think we need to remind ourselves of that everyday. 🙏🏼
A sound testimony by a brave woman. Thank you Sister Cordon.
Just Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your story. It reminds me of a ''whispering' of the spirit", to me years ago. "In your adversity you found me'", That was a true statement that helps me over and over to realize the great blessing of adversity..
Thank you. I needed this today.
I love her so much and I love her talks and she's a great lady and I can feel the spirit when I hear her
Thanks for your comment, @cozettecampbell1048. We are so glad you could feel the Spirit and hope that you came away inspired!
God is Light
Thank you for sharing your beautiful testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ 🥰🥰 we love you so much ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for this message
Thanks for sharing that. That was impressive! It refreshed my mind of the times Heavenly Father via the Holy Ghost has comforted and sustained me.
Thank you so much for sharing this message Sister Cordon! This touched me, I feel like I can relate to times when I don’t necessarily want to do something but I do it anyone and end up feeling my Father in Heaven’s love through it and that feeling of peace, comfort, and eternal love is irreplaceable. I’m so grateful for my Savior and His love for me and all of us!
To anyone having a hard time out there: the Lord is with you, I’ve learned that as long as you just try He will see your effort and He understands perfectly everything you are going through and ever will go through. With love I hope the best for everyone at this time, in the name of my Savior, Elder Brother, and Friend, Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your comment!
@@churchofjesuschrist Of course! Thank you for the message!
Thank you Sister Cordon for your beautiful testimony!!!!
I have to ask the same to Heavenly Father every time I get a calling or give a talk.
Proverbs 3:5 (5-7) beautiful scripture that we often forget. Wonderful message.
Thank you
I can witness that for me as a temple worker, when we struggle and make mistakes, the Lord seems to rush in with the Spirit and say "I see you, I hear you, I love you and am here for you. I am glad you are here. I am glad you are trying. Your efforts are enough. I will make up for the rest " ;)
I’m really glad I got to hear this today.
Hear Derek. Rest in Peace, little one. xx
Sis. Gordon, thank you for highlighting how you are lead to the primary children hospital by the spirit of God.
The Lord has always been leading me, but at this stage of my life, I am currently anxious and depressed due to lack of joy in trouble.
With your encouragement about your purpose, it reminds me that scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6, it has always been my anchor scripture.
Pray along with me for divine help and supernatural provision.
The context of life experiences gives scriptures true, personal meaning that shows the Lord's hand in our life.
Lovely---Great reminder we are often touched by the hand of God...sometimes we need to look around to see it...sometimes we see it immediately. Thx...
So very true that being in the right place during hard times opens the windows of Heaven to uplift- in often the most personal and unimaginable ways to confirm His great love-and bring blessings of peace and healing.
I am so glad that I took the couple minutes to watch this. It was a message I needed to hear at this moment.
I also am glad I took the time to stop and watch this message. I feel like I was led to it by the Holy Spirit because I did need it. Thanks
Thank you for this beautiful message of how we are to listen to that still small voice.
I can't imagine the pain you were feeling after the loss of that sweet child.
God can turn disaster and tragedy into healing ❤️
Faith can move any mountain in your life!
Thank you for putting this on UA-cam
Lovely message thank you, left for me to act now. I need that grace and strength lord you gave me as a little kid
Wow! What a strong woman and servant of Jesus Christ.
Amen sister
Through a step of faith in obedience...Through the presence of a child in need...through the Word of God...In your most painful place...How beautiful your testimony is! Thank you gracious lady!
Am so touched
Thanks for sharing this message.
Thank you! ❤️🌸
Me and my boyfriend were at the movies this one time, and once we got out of the movies, we saw a Book of Mormon just sitting there on the bench. No one was around and it was just us. It was just sitting there in plain sight and looked new still. Our Heavenly Father gives us so much signs that sometimes we don’t see it, but once we open our hearts, we can see clearly more of what message he is trying to give us. 🫶🏼
So good. Thank you!
Que grande y hermoso es nuestro padre y como llena mi ❤su testimonio, pase por algo así bendito sea jehová dios infinito 🙏♥
I love how she kept trusting in the lord throughout this whole experience. My sister passed away not too long ago and one of the first thoughts that came into my mind after her passing was "Trust in the Lord". That literally helped me sooo much through the few weeks after she passed away. (Preface: my sister passed away in a car crash) I don't know why she had to pass away that way or why she had to pass away so soon and not live until she was 80. All that I know is that I can trust in my God and my Savior. They care for me and have always shown me where to go and how to believe. My faith in them has never led me astray and for that I'm grateful
Thank you President Cordon for sharing something so tender and precious to you. He does hear us, He knows us, He loves us. May you continue to be protected and blessed. Thank you and love to your sweet family.
Thankyou for sharing your experience.
The holy spirit literally saved my life this last Monday. He whispered that should read an informational paper that came with a new prescription. I read it and realized the drug was not safe for me to take. I praise God for sending the spirit to me.
The Spirit told me very strongly that I should not take the covid vaccine. However, now members are accusing me of not following the prophet, and that I should have more faith. I am shunned by my community of faith.
Thank you so much Sis. Cordon!
I love the sound of beautiful discipleship. Thank you, Bonnie Cordon-sister hearing Whisper. 💛🙏🏽
Bless you sister Bonnie.
This would be totally hard!
Not only has this tender message of faith touched my heart at this exact moment…but this exact scripture from Proverbs has been going through my mind throughout the day. The Father knows each of us…we are His sons and daughters…by hearing Him, through the Spirit…we are lead to true healing. Thank you my good sister. Thank The Lord ❤️😇
This is such a beautiful story of faith and overcoming a painful situation. It is also heartbreaking that an innocent child lost his life so suddenly like that with no known cause or reason. What a terrible tragedy. Our prayers for your family in this.
Thank you!
...that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass...
I love it!
I needed those words, just in time like always! Thanks!
I am struggling with severe mental health issues. I see my doctors, I take my meds religiously, and haven’t been able to work for the last 20 months. I am teaching Gospel Doctrine again to challenge myself and test my limits as I have a difficult time with large groups and comprehension issues.
Everything I read from the Church says something to the effect, that Christ suffered everything through the Atonement. So there is my big answer. But that really isn’t useful information. I’m sorry he suffered so much, but how does that information help me to understand what is going on with me? How does that help me heal? How am I even supposed to feel anything between the constant anxiety and panic attacks.
I know I could be healed if that is what God wanted, but I’m sure I am supposed to be learning something. Please don’t tell me to read my scriptures or pray - those primary answer don’t work for me right now.
Thanks for your comment. For you and others struggling, we're sorry for the difficulty and heartache you are experiencing. You are not alone, you are loved, and we encourage you to reach out to those around you and get help. www.churchofjesuschrist.org/mentalhealth
I've found that sometimes in my most vulnerable moments, when I feel broken and capable of very little, the Lord steps swiftly in to show me His personal wonders meant just for me and for those around me. Thanks for sharing!
He hears our prayers and he can heal our broken hearts
I have a calling in my ward as a Welfare and Self Reliance Specialist. My latest assignment has been to write an Emergency Services Directory which will be used by the leadership so that when people in need come to our church they can receive packages with bottles of water, granola bars, and a 211 card from the United Way. While this won't solve everything in their lives, hopefully it will give them a way to begin to find their own ways forward in dealing with whatever issues they are facing. I also live under the poverty line and struggle with multiple disabilities so the church helps me in numerous way too. It's a circle. We give in whatever ways we can and accept the help we need. Heavenly Father sees us as we are. Knows our needs AND always we can return to him. Because he loves us unconditionally.
Thats so sweet. I have volunteered with the homeless for over nine years now and anything you can do to show them that you care and have a love for them does make a difference.
I have prayed with them, shared a picture of Jesus with them, a Bible or Book of Mormon and it does matter to them. I remind them that there is over 7.9 billion people in our world and only they have their thumbprint and Heavenly Father loves and they are never lost because they can always reach their hand up and Heavenly Father and Jesus will take it. I have been blessed to meet some of them years down the road and they still remember the love and kind words I gave them. One man was homeless for over three years and he has a good job and home now. Nothing is ever hopeless in our life. Bless you!🤍
Thank you for your service.
Amen ✝️😇❤️
This is something that's so wrong with the church. Forcing wounded people into service when what they need is time to HEAL. Shame on them for this. My mother experienced it firsthand after the death of my father and we left the church because of it. Do better LDS.
Thank you. At present I have a young daughter who is in a crisis. I have felt so numb. When I reach out to the lord I feel silence. But this gives me hope to keep trying. To keep pleading. Begging for His help. I will “just go.”
I understand that feeling of silence in these types of situations. I have asked many times O God, where art though? And where is the pavilion that covereth thy hiding place?
It seems like he is no where to be found and is not hearing your prayers. I have wept many times on my knees pleading for something anything that would bring comfort and assure me that he is there and that my faith is not in vain.
Eventually the same answer comes every time, My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a moment;
It's not always an answer of, I will make everything right or I will fix your problems or take away your trials, but it's an answer that assures me that all things are for my good, And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; though shalt triumph over all thy foes.
He is there, he knows your heartache and your trials. Be patient in those trials always. I know from personal experience that not everything will work out the way we want. If we are faithful though, they always work out for the better.
It may not seem like it at times but we don't know all things, we don't know the beginning from the end.
I will keep you, your young daughter, and your family in my prayers today brother. I pray our Father in Heaven will bring peace to your soul concerning your daughter.
With tears, felt this sister and the spirit.
THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING TESTIMONY
This was Beautiful. Thank you.
💛...
Great
Amen💖
The Bishop tex me,and he said I have a calling, But he didn't say what it was.i was so scard, and my heart hurt so much. But I had the,Lord saying you can do this, just go and meet with the Bishop. So I got dress and went to meet with Bishop, And my calling was codinera, Bishop explained it to me,and I said I can do it,I had so much faith,so I helped all I can do for my calling,My heart felt bless.
In most cases people are able to go and to do something because they are healthy to work in the calling they are called to do. In my lifetime I cannot do something more in the gospel due to poor health problems. Soo it makes me call out to the Master for guidance about it since my body shuts down in certain situations or when it's put in a situation while in a calling. Imagine you can't produce an act in front of other people because of this condition. It's really a hard situation bc of my body doing that in front of other people. Can anyone explain why? I did go through a traumatic experience when I was 8 years old and thats what caused my body condition to become what it is now. Surviving a murder is more than just your body going through trauma but it also damages your nervous system and brain soo you just choose to live with it and due what you can to make the most of it. The trial is a never ending problem due to liveing in every day life too. My brain and nervous system was damaged also so I can only do soo much in life in general because of reacting to my Mothers and 2 sisters murders on Halloween in 1984.
Amen☺️
Lovely and inspiring. It brought tears to my eyes.
Jesus is Alive he love us all over the loud voice that you couldn't see get white and look to heaven
Thank you for sharing that sweet story of healing at a very difficult time. The Lord knows what we need, when we need it!
