Interesting that you made the point about chroma subsampling, but didn't mention the need to increase the shutter speed to reduce motion blur if action is occurring.
The Behr color called 'gamma sector green' used to be the exact color of a green screen but it has been a long time since my friends bought it for their wall. I think it was in the kids paint section (Disney?). If it is still available buy it in Latex and flat and it works perfectly on your wall as a green screen. But even flat it is still more reflective than a cloth so you might get green reflecting back on your subject if you get them too close to it which makes it hard to key them out.
That's why "plasters"/band-aids are blue. There supposedly no blue foods that exist, so if by chance you drop the plaster in to a dish. You can find the plaster easier to see in your dish/plate. Is there a specific wavelength within the green range?
We don't have one at the moment but we'll seriously consider the idea as a request. In the meantime, B&H offers still-photography versions of the Westcott green screen lighting kit featured in the video: bhphotovideo{dot}com/c/search?Ntt=Westcott+Illusions+PHOTO+Green+Screen+Kit&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=. I think everyone gets the concept of even lighting, but to achieve this is easier said than done. It would be difficulty to accomplish even lighting with the lights that are featured in this video. You will definitely need to overcompensate by making adjustments to the camera or in the chroma key editor.
If you want to produce broadcast quality videos then yes. You should use a proper background support, a quality green screen, professional lights that provide a very specific colour temperature without flicker and a professional camera. $20,000 will get you started. If your viewer will accept crap then by all means go with a DIY model and have a good time.
Hello, How do I tell what my cam's chroma subsampling is? My cam is a Nikon Coolpix S7000 digital cam, I haven't found the ratio for it despite some research. Would this be okay for green screening or should I get a better one? On a tight budget for this project.

4:2:2 refers to color subsampling. This is used to cut down on information in a frame. It reduces the bandwidth of video by skipping the color information on some pixels, depending on the level of sub-sampling. A luminance value (brightness/darkness ratio) is still recorded for every pixel. A 4:2:0 image, which is the chroma sampling method used in AVCHD and XD CAM EX, only changes color every fourth pixel. Where 4:2:2 sub-sampling changes color every other pixel. 4:4:4 color sampling retains all color information. Video from the Nikon D3300 could easialy be used for green screen work. As the Sony HVR-A1U is recording to Mini DV tape you would have to digitize the footage so that it could be used with the green screen software. *Andrea
If there is sufficient light in the open space that will light the green screen evenly, chances are you that would not need to add any light. However, it's best to come prepared with light for the background in case the ambient lighting conditions change.
iMovie comes with every Mac computer and green screen effects may be applied. There are others available, known as Wax, VirtualDub, VSC Free Video Editor, ZS4 Video Editor. >Mark

As long as the hair light does not clip the hair too much and both of those lights don't bleed into the green screen since it needs its own exposure you shouldn't have any problem with that lighting setup.
