Plus they givin good knowledge to those who don’t get a lot of jcoles lyrics including me👍🏽
The song KOD grows on you
So does Motiv8 lol
he killed the kod Verse live
Rapping that second verse is so fun too
Fr
Michaell Alexander Kdot Stan can’t accept that Cole made a better album lol
People trashed on this album way more than they should’ve. People are so afraid of change but expect the same music to please them forever. Excellent album.
Jerard Deal frfr people who trashed this album didn’t understand the full message... KOD and 4YEO were probably his best story telling albums in my opinion but they are regarded as his worst projects by many people
colin mcgurk this album is up there with forest hills drive. Insane pieces of work.
true
I like this album a lot...really grew on me tbh
K.O.D. is seriously in my personal top 10 albums of all time. This album speaks to my soul in the deepest and darkest ways.
Over 1 hour?? J. Cole? George and Ryan? I’m getting my snacks.
Zoheb Amin dude, same.
YOU FUCKING RIGHT!!! LoL
I was making dinner with a cold beer nearby with this shit playing on my laptop, fucking outstanding.
@@Itstwofourteen I know exactly how you feel my man.
I rolled a few joints, I watched it on my 60" so I can feel like George and Ryan are actually hanging out with me ..
There I am talking to a tv screen..
I swear that Once An Addict was written about me. My mother was wrecked by a breakup with my dad. Tried to take her life on my 12th Birthday. Used to sleep in her bed every night to keep an eye on her. Afraid to play outside because she’d vomit in her sleep and I’d have to turn her on her side and clean her up. My All Green was The Five Heartbeats on a constant loop. This song choked me up. Couldn’t even help myself. Damn
Robert Byrd This is one of the saddest things I have ever read. I hope her story had a happy ending. I hope things got better for you guys
00tuoyo mother got clean and sober. Forgave and reunited with dad. And 25 years later I’ve managed to raise well adjusted, college bound children. Not a perfect life, but a happy ending...up to this point
God Bless Yours And Your Mama's Souls 🙏🏿 ❤
@@robertbyrd2073 hope everything is still going well, prayers!❤
Hope you doing well bro
Can y'all please start a pod cast. I'd listen to y'all all day 😂
Abe Elbanna Honestly
Creddz When you find real shit like these guys you gotta listen as much as you can 🙏
Nah it would get overdone fast, what theyre doing now is perfect
Totally agreed
It’s Here🙏🏾
Dude ... it’s 1 am I got work tomorrow I just sat my ass and watched y’all react to an album I done heard about 10 times already but it was all worth it to see y’all reaction
Salute!
The World Reacts same haha
I honestly think 1985 wasn’t a diss. It was like you guys said he was just trying to relate and teach them. They only took it as a diss because he’s right
The ''I hope you ain't as dumb as you look'' was a 'love tap' though lol.
And hes not impressed from listening to their music obviously lol
It wasn't a full diss but he was sonning them though
Yeah real shit. People are gonna take it as a diss but ignore the facts he was saying
I agree. In the track he also mentions how he likes seeing a black man get money, and lil pump isnt black. That could be picking at straws but I think if cole was really gonna personally diss someone we would know for sure. I think he was generally talking about the scene
Damn, y'all broke this album down so beautifully. Cole had so much content that was complex yet simple that really had you thinking and y'all delved into it in such detail. Best review of this album yet👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
David Rodriguez by far the best reaction, George was feeeeling it lol
And especially finding this video after learning the songs and just loving their reaction to it.
It was pretty surface-level stuff honestly. He did very little to dive deeper into the topics he was discussing and more often than not just ended up sounding self-masturbatory or preachy
Tyler Lovett nah
Tyler Lovett I think you’re not totally wrong. I think songs like Friends and Once An Addict were really amazing substantive songs, but the album as a whole is a little more shallow then i wanted.
This is a reaction and therapy at the same time. Y'all go in deeeeeeep.
rnaefaletui that's why I'm subscribed to them. No one else really tries to breakdown the lyrics and truly listen. They don't go this deep into every song. They just try and feel the vibe and don't offer any unique take even if they don't like it.
Like me.
Pause
Honestly, I cried as soon as he said “have to see my hero on ground zero” in high school I had to deal with my moms alcohol addiction. I felt every word that he said. POWERFUL man.
Curious Georgina BOY
hope you are doing okay
Same. LEGEND. 🐐.
That line always gets me. It’s real when U can relate…
It hits so hard that it can be tough to listen to sometimes. I have shed many tears to this song.
As I was half way through their reaction towards 1985 my little brother started playing Gucci gang
What a coincidence then 😭😭😂😂😂
lol
1 hour 10 minutes!!
Selling snacks and drinks in the comments:

Aye, the plug lol
He got snacks I got appetizers 😂😂
Can I get a #4
Enough beer to get me drunk please
GODDAMN. I'm not a hip hop guy in any way, shape or form but, mad respect to J Cole. This album was incredible to my ears and I can't thank you guys enough for showing this side of music to this metalhead. Amazing review guys. You're the best react/review channel. There's not even a competition, you guys have something special here, so whatever you do, keep it going.
Juan Hernández respect for being open minded to different types of music!
I know this is completely unrelated but have you heard To Pimp A Butterfly, I was adamantly against rap at the time it came out, but on a whim i gave it a listen and it literally changed my life. I didn't like it at first but it's a grower for sure.
You guys listening to both the beat and lyrics is something so difficult to find in reaction channels. Y’all one of the best👏🏽👏🏽
Salute!
God the lil pump diss has never been more true in 2024😂
Never seen George this riled up lmao gotta love an authentic reaction
So glad I found this channel
PigToots upload bitch
davidt52421 lmao
hey upload
Best reaction vid period. Hands down
I completely agree Once an Addict was one the realest songs almost felt my like my life's story. To me J.cole is like Tupac in away that you become emotionally connected to there music because you know comes from a place many can relate to. I think he's a great lyricist because he can get his point across without doing lyrical acrobatics on your head with just as much depth that's also why I hate when people say Pac not a lyricist but say he was a poet
Yeeeessss Finally the best is reacting to the best
Once an Addict definitely hit home for me too George. I damn near tear’d up listening to it for the first time, like damn Cole!
Goldy Locks same! It really hit home
Same 💯💯
I get a whole hour?! 😍
Thanks for always holding us down Vee! We appreciate ya!

@LostInVegas Guys we are a hiphop crew from Nepal, can you react to this ? ua-cam.com/video/WS-Hgtl6jA0/v-deo.html
I wish you guys put more ads in this video 😂😂😂 I would’ve watched them all the way through to make sure y’all received the well deserved revenue for this amazing review! I know you all are not about the money however greatness should definitely be compensated!
❤️❤️
I didn't even realize they don't have ads like the other channels till this comment
I'm not one to comment on social media, especially UA-cam at that. This damn well might be my first comment on here. But I just wanna let you guys know that you guys picked this album apart incredibly. Been rockin' with you guys since 15K, and still love every release you guys drop. Keep up the hard work guys, we know y'all hustling to get these out and we appreciate all the content! Much love fellas!
Since 15K? My man! We appreciate your support brotha!
Always fellas! Gotta support authenticity when I see it!
george was a whole mood throughout the duration of the album. y'all always coming' through with the goods. ✊🏾
Damn. Just...Damn. This album is fire, and the reaction suits the album. You always break songs down so that they make sense, particularly for those of us who have not grown up with hip hop. This album hearkens back to the old concept albums, and it is worth the listen. #freethinkers
I'd like to hear you react to Lingus by Snarky Puppy. That is all.
YES. Lingus is amazing
Not DAMN, KOD!!
Stuart Taft 😔
George been through some shit. They both have I think. Me too bro. That's why I be feeling these vids.
Life gets everyone. Spread the love.
Even as a big J Cole fan I think I slept on this album. I’ve gone back to it after not listening to it for awhile and that shit is a masterpiece. It’s getting better with time.
same here bruh
I didn't this is one the best ever projects of all time
I don't really mind what critics this gets
But this album was 10/10 for me
I was too young when it came out. Now I’m ready
@@profmajr this statement so fuckin tru.
seriously.
He just TED talked a "dis" track. Who does that? Legendary, just a legendary artist
respect for this. You guys are my favorite reactors. I respect the grind.

Lmao! this comment needs to be pinned !
Nate Baker just wanted say youre a legend and thank you lol
kinda bummed ya'll don't have an album reaction to 4 Your Eyez Only. From all his albums, this one my favorite.
I swear every time y'all get hype I get hype right along with you
Congratulations, you are not a psychopath/sociopath. Imagine not being able to share feelings and emotions.
U guys analyze albums and music so maturely that u make me think of it from a diff perspective bc im 17 and his album greatly impacted my view on things bc i am going thru very similar things rn. And u guys explaining so well makes me understand it even more
You need to watch the kevin's heart vid. It's literally kevin hart!
Wwwwhhhhhaaaaatttttt!!!!?????!!!.... REALLY....naw man.... Your fkn lying.... Is it really dude??... Where can I see this VIDEO!!??
@@kodoesminecraft it's literally on UA-cam .
raveman100 no they weren’t look up to video
3 years later to actually confirm what cole said on 1985.LIL PUMP is no more people,I've witnessed.
Yo 5 years later and watching this reaction is absolute gold, love the channel and especially when y’all reacting to Cole!!
George! I had the EXACT reaction to the last half of the album (I enjoyed the WHOLE thing). Cole is a LEGEND in my eyes. This album was a MASTERPIECE imo. 10/10
P.S. I don't know why, but the very first time i heard "Window Pain" I LITERALLY teared up listening to it....The way the drums hit in my headphones and the story of the little girl combined with the lyrics and flow. It was crazy.....I've gotten goosebumps from Cole before, but I never had that happen before. 😅
PHILosophy 1990 The Once a Addict had me crying, people cant relate to those struggles, Legend
Same 🙏
AncientPulse yeah man it made me cry too. No one understands that unless you’ve been through it and that’s the most hurtful thing. I’m crying typing this because it’s a hurtful thing for real. Stay strong fam 💯 I feel it
Im WavvyAF.......✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
PHILosophy 1990 i
I ain’t skip not one second . Favorite reaction channel forsure 🔥🔥🔥.
This album hit me mentally and spiritually ✊🏾. J cole really taught me a lot. I will forever be thankful.
3 years later, this classic still workin right now. HBD to K.O.D.
You guys hit the nail on the head breaking down the symbolism throughout this album. Enjoyed watching and listening with y’all 👌🏽
I just watched an hour long reaction which is unheard of especially for me, and your deconstruction of this album and the message that it conveys is mind blowing; I'm not saying this just because I'm a Cole fan but you really took the time to peel back the layers and went deep with the analysis. I think you should create your own website to rival genius lyrics (this may be a stretch though lool)... *Great Review*. It's unfortunate I can't give more than one thumbs up
Young Simba same lol
This is the best reaction video. I loved the album so much, I watched this video twice just to see y'all go crazy lol. Keep up the good work
Lol! Thank you Erin!
Once an addict! That is my life, stayed out when i was in high school cause i couldn't come home to see my momma like that, got home like 11 and 12 pm.. This song is my life in every word! I am in uni now and the struggle is still real tho I believed it would have changed! #Jcole knows
😭
check out darren waller's story
This album is definitely a grower. All the tracks grow on you the more you listen and the more you catch and resonate with the messages he's sending. This album is deep, and the melodies and cadences definitely synchronize more and more the more you lend your ear to this project. Props to Jermaine for this one, Cole World.
Gator x sounds like every Cole project lol
This might be the best dissection of an album I’ve ever seen - y’all are incredible! UA-cam ain’t ready for this. 🔥
You guys are so real.
Bring back full album reviews 😭😭
I was thinking the same thing when listening to Once An Addict. That's by far my favorite song on the album, just because of how vivid and powerful of a song it was. It almost brought me to tears because of how real it was.
Same. Huge Cole fan and out of all of his projects I've listened to, this has to be one of his top songs
once an addict is such a homer for me this shit is how i felt in high school dealing with my mom and no one can understand this shit but this song was a punch to my heart foreal
Had to come back and revisit the album. Who else here in 2020. Timeless art with a timeless review good work guys.
2022
Here in 2022. This album is getting even better with time.
1985 really made me reflect on the songs and artist that got me into hip hop. I can tell you that I don’t listen to them anymore with the exception of a few songs that have that nostalgia factor, but I wouldn’t understand the genre at the level I do today without them.
One of the reasons why someone told me they didn't like the album was because they said that J. Cole broke his own theme with songs like Photograh; mostly because of the name of the album. My response is always: No he didn't. The last line of the of KOD set it all up. The strongest drug to be addicted to is love.
Whether it be the love of things like money and drugs, people like women, or abstracts like fame and temptation. It's why you love those things that should be important and why you should "Choose Wisely". Are you hiding from something? Depression, your environment, or your past perhaps?
Idk I feel like Cole has ascended to Legendary status by this point, and as such the album is gonna be a Classic, at least in my book
A whole hour? Way to spoil us lol
What a brilliant review, well done guys. J Cole is the truth.
You know, I was watching this reaction again (It's been like 3 times on certain parts now haha), but I JUST realized something. I don't think "1985" ONLY applies to the rap game. I think it applies to the reaction channels as well. Sooner or later all of these reaction channels that just focus on the vibe, rather than the content, are eventually going to be outgrown. Their viewers are going to get older and begin looking for more in depth commentary. THEN they'll come to this channel, but "to tell them what they should do, who the fuck am I?"
😶
Look they at 1 million subs now
J.Cole gotta sit down and watch this review to see that people actually know what he's saying and we don't miss what he's saying
y'all genuine af man I love y'all
I was amazed by this reaction just like I was by the album. Can’t thank you guys enough for all of the detail you go into!
4 years later… this album and he still evoke that same passion and enlightenment in me. I know y’all weren’t huge fans of KOD but that would be my only disagreement. When that song is on it still hits for me. But damn, J. Cole to me is severely underrated and undervalued in this age, when he speaks so authentically and genuinely. I’m sure that’s the reason he’s so conservative on what he puts out. He refuses to taint his name with trash. He has the platform and uses it for good.
Now THIS is a real reaction! Thanks for the 1hr long video.
Great album, "Once an addict" hit me on a very personal level too. There were some specific things he said on that track that I've gone through, it made me tear up. This whole album makes me glad there's someone like Cole not just in hip hop but in the music industry who I feel is trying to bring everyone to the table to have a conversation about their personal problems and the problems going on in the world and, like you said, is straight forward with it. Beautiful stuff man.
And another great reaction guys! I love it when George gets on that "y'all don't even know" mode and he's trying to pause the video so he can go crazy over the song but he looks like he's having trouble pausing it 🤣🤣🤣
KOD Deserves more appreciation than it received, honestly
1985 aged like fine fine wine
Special request here. My grandmother liked watching your country song videos with me. She passed away last night... Would you guys be able to react to Alan Jackson's "Remember When" in her memory?
Aaron Clapper 🙏🏾🙏🏾
RIP to your grandma🙏🏾. Keep your head up. She’s in a better place.
No ty
Aaron Clapper, too much feels on this track. But its a good one and I think they should do it.
RIP to your grandmother man my condolences
Is it bad that I watched almost every second? LOOOL man yall got good ears for real music this is what I love about this channel. Also, this album’s a treasure.
Cole World ❤️
You guys are my go too!!!! When it comes to music review's!!! This is def a "ted talks" type of album. I dig it🔥🔥🔥🔥
You’re both geniuses bro loved how much you picked apart this album
I was thinking the same thing !!! great review
Exactly
Yeah!! You guys are the best!! Thanks for the timestamps (Although I'm sure I'm not the only one who watched the whole thing 😉)
First listen through I loved the album. Your guys’ review spoke my thoughts and feelings and invoked new thoughts and feelings for it and also heightened my appreciation for this album and Cole himself as an artist. I’m 20 years old and I’m thankful I listen to artists like Cole who push real, deep, content with their art. I could easily be like every other kid my age lost in trap music, drugs, trends, etc. Its albums like this (and as a nod to you guys also reviews on albums like this) that further open my eyes to more realizations in life itself and I’m thankful for that. That’s a powerful thing. Could even have more to say in this comment but overall just a good review of a good album and I’m thankful for finding your guys’ channel and subscribing. Much love, respect, and appreciation. 💯
Been here since gang related reaction and I thought those were some good reactions bro y’all gotta do more full album reactions y’all are the best🔥
Yes you have my man! You always hold us down bro! Thank you!
I honestly loved this video, you gave us a understanding of the lyrics and meaning but still let us come to the conclusion if we are vibing with it
This is the best reaction I've seen of this album. So special keep it up. 👍👌💪💯
This reaction is just perfect and on point🔥👌🏼
Came back for my monthly refresh of this beautiful reaction/review of one of my favorites album ever. You guys are great, thank you.
By far the best review I have seen on UA-cam for this album. I normally don’t even comment on videos but I had to, you guys did an amazing job.
Thanks bro!
Every artist needs to listen to your reviews. Only one out here giving actual reviews with plausible reasoning
BloodCrow And imo they're the only ones that you can listen to for over an hour without it getting boring
On god
Fantano? DEHH?
best reaction video PERIOD.. of all time!!! lol for real though... great great job!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks bro!
This video could’ve been 2 hours and I’ll still watch. I was waiting for this review to drop. 😅
We appreciate that Athalia!
Lost In Vegas You guys are great!
Yesss🎉 Cole came with the Fire 🔥 with this one.
Hi guy’s 🙋🏿♀️
Ummm we need some Lost in Vegas merchandise 🤷🏾♀️ luv y’all!
Y’all made that hour fly by wow thank you for being so insightful
Y'all should react to his 2 music videos for ATM and Kevin's heart!
Just perfect. Perfect breakdown. Seriously been bumping this album everyday sinde 4.20. I love the way you break it down and you even added values I didn't get from myself or any other place. I guess that goes to show how well you understand music and the human being that's making it. Really enjoyed this! #coleworld
Always loved this album but your reaction gave me a new found knowledge and appreciation for it. Thanks y'all 🔥🔥🔥
You guys are some of the dopest people on youtube man. Your reviews elevate what I take away from the conscious music. Love the self awareness too about the mumble rap!
Two Exams in like 6 hours but hey🤷🏾♂️ y’all post I watch.
I keep coming back to this 1+ hour video! Probably because this is the best music reviewing channel and KOD is one of the greatest albums of all times
Jay Cole been my favorite rap artist for the last 4 years. I like what u two guys are doing here. Been rocking with yall for about a lil over a year now, and yall never disappoint. Great break downs and great chemistry between yall. U both compliment each other well speak from knowledge of knowing your music and just being a pure fan of different music. Keep the content coming. Clearly the best react vids on UA-cam! Great job guys.
When I saw the reaction was an hour I was awe man but you guys dissect it so well. Had me peeping stuff I didn’t really get during my playthrough. And I agree with George when you experience what he’s talking about you appreciate the lyrics so much more. I appreciate the review.
This might be one of the best videos I’ve ever seen
Watching this gives me faith and cheers me up when I’m feeling down I feel like I’m in the room with you, what you guys are doing is really special ❤️
You guys are so amazing at what you do
Fiiiiiire album 🔥🔥 Cole & Kendrick up there !
Mobby Kendrick’s up there definitely not cole
Krit above both of them
Jay Anderson better than cole but not kendrick
Y'all sleep on Cole
HowardSide95 This album is bad, there’s no other way to say it. He’s acting like is the god and the best rapper that ever lived, I’m tired of this shit. He lost my respect and andmirstion.
Straight fire! Had this album on repeat 🙏🏽
really really appreciate this whole reaction or album review. its been3 years since this was posted but yet its still relatable, much much appreciation and thankful to see people who share more or less the same feelings about the whole album........
I love yalls videos man. Im a huge j cole stan and i did understand and appreciate his lyrics and message but watching yalls video helps me get an even deeper understanding and appreciation of what hes talking about. Thank you for dissecting his words and helping me become even more appreciative of what j cole stands for!
