2017 Porsche 718 Boxster S Review - Inside Lane

This is the new 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster S which for this year receives a new name. 718 referes to Porsche's 60's racing cars. A much larger change for the Boxster is that it now has a 2.5 litre turbocharged flat four engine instead of the iconic flat six. This new Boxster S model produces 345bhp and 420Nm of torque. 0-62mph takes just 4.6 seconds and it will go onto a top speed of 177mph. 34 MPG combined is claimed.
Whilst it may look similar to its predecessor the 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster actually has all-new body panels almost everywhere. A new 7 inch touchscreen infotainment display is at the centre of its premium interior. The fabric roof is electrically operated and can be stowed at speeds of up to 30mph. It also 375 litres of space in its boots.
