Context: 6 mpg (truck towing heavy load) = 5,617.5 wh/mile. 15 mpg = 2,247 wh/mile. 20 mpg = 1,625 wh/mile. 30 mpg = 1,123.5 wh/mile. 40 mpg. = 842 wh/mile. Suddenly, 500 wh/mile doesn’t seem quite so bad. It’s just that since the car is starting out with the energy equivalent of less than 3 gallons of gasoline, and takes longer to “fill up” it sounds bad. Put into context, getting 80 mpge in the winter, albeit less than the 120 mpge in the summer, suddenly isn’t so bad. Couple that with all of the conveniences of electric for daily use, such as lack of most of the maintenance, it’s still a win from my viewpoint. Put another way: So, at its very worst, electric is still more efficient when compared to gas, AND it doesn’t produce tailpipe emissions that everyone has to breathe. Seems like a win to me. Don’t even start with the long tailpipe arguments. They are known. They can also be filtered enmass at the point of generation, and the dirtiest plants are being retired and replaced with solar, wind, and batteries as the LCOE for renewable energy is lower.
Appreciate your comment and explanation on wh/mile VS gas MPG. It explained a lot in terms of how much more efficient EV is compared with gas car. Thank you for watching! Please subscribe for future contents.🙏😃
@@dadstoyscarsso overall it’s good you would say and worth it? I had many instrument clusters and either locks vents or find it pointless cause we already have a screen with info on it . @@MoniandFredsillyrianGaming it’s a great display no issue. If you’re looking for a display with CarPlay, front camera with blind spot warning and better air for the driver then this is the one to get. I'm in the Denver area also. I'm driving the same T-Sport line wheels (18" with the Falkens) on my 22 Performance Y. I love the look and not having to worry about curb rash.
I wish the buttons were better design to fit the interior more. As for the instrument cluster display was great no issue so far. I’m still waiting for the SEXY knob, I hope they would send it out soon. Thank you for watching and your great support!🙏😃

I think it’s because it doesn’t really affect most people for their daily drives as most owners don’t drive more than 150 miles/day. As long as you charge your car every during very cold winter you should be okay. Thank you for watching and your awesome support!🙏😃
First those countries have super expensive gas and diesel. Second tiny tiny countries don't drive as far as we do here in USA. Average car do 12k to 15 k a year in USA vs 4k to 6k over there.
I had installed Yoke steering wheel on my Model 3 before and a few months of using it I still prefer round wheel. But the reason I changed back because my wife didn’t like driving with Yoke at all. Thank you for watching and you’re great!🙏😃
Your math is a bit off, you wouldn't get 186 miles base off your drive test (not battery capability) you would get closer to 150-160 mile at best lol ! I have a 2021 Model Y and have never got 200+ miles in the winter.

Does the instrument cluster auto connects to Apple car play?
Yes, after you do the first connection set up. It will automatically connect to your phone every time you get in the car.

curious what therange would be if it were in a real Colorado winter something like -20 degrees Fahrenheit

Why is the title 2024 Model Y, when this is a 2023 model Y?

Gas cars not doing to give you the same mileage in extreme winter conditions…no vehicle does so why single out Tesla ?
So glad this electric thing is about over
