10th gen accord 2.0T is a sweet car. I bought one right after I found out the there is no 2.0T 11th gen. The engine, transmission and suspension made it a great car. No dealer markup made it an easy decision.

I bought new Platinum White Pearl 2020 Accord EXL 2.0T and proceeded to mod it into my own “sport version”. Tinted windows, black vinyl wrapped the roof, rear diffuser area and all the chrome for a total chrome delete. Added OEM deck lid spoiler. Added OEM mud flaps. Changed out all of the incandescent bulbs to LEDs in both interior & exterior. De-badged the “Accord & 2.0T”. Added LED ambient footwell lighting. Fitted Eibach lowering springs plus a camber kit. Eibach sway bars both front and rear. Added Ultra Racing strut bar, rear torsion bar and front power bar for added chassis rigidity. Enkei wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 all-season tires. The only thing I have done to the engine is fitted a Mishimoto oil catch can. I’m undecided on whether to tune the ECU.

Honda, you really messed up for this next generation Accord. You had a real winner in the 10th generation (2018 - 2022) and now you basically have a refrigerator box on wheels. Honda could have kept what they had if they couldn't do any better than the 2023 (11th generation) model.

My 2022 Honda Accord Touring 2.0 arrived today and I'm super happy. This car has been on my radar since it came out in 2018 and finally I am now a proud owner of the 2.0 Turbo Accord. We saw videos of the 2023's and to me, the 10th Gen is the best Accord honda ever made. 2022 Touring's are hard to find with low miles since there are no new ones available anymore. We were blessed to find one with 2k miles barely even used. Can't wait to enjoy the ride and add some few accessories.

I just bought a 2023 Accord Hybrid EX-L. I agree the 2.0T engine is great and fun to drive but I’m in it for the gas mileage now as I drive 80 miles per day for work round trip. Super happy so far with the hybrid EX-L. The EX-L has the perfect option set and comes in under $35k if you don’t get a color that is an extra $550 charge. And I didn’t. I got silver and it looks great. The hybrid engine doesn’t disappoint. It’s not a 2.0T engine but it’s close. The electric motors give you an extra boost when you need it like a turbo. The interior is far superior that previous generations and so is the exterior in my opinion. All in all the 2023 Accord Hybrid EX-L is a great buy for the price and all the options that come with it. And 50 MPG….

I have a 2020 EX-L 1.5. This car has been the bee's knees so far. When I decide to upgrade, it will be in the mid cycle refresh of the 11th generation.
Also, yes. I prefer the panoramic sunroof. When I bought my 2020 brand new, Honda sent me a survey asking me what I'd like to see in future Accords. I definitely checked "yes" to the panoramic sunroof!
The new Accord actually looks nice. I don't like that they deleted the fog lights. Those always give cars an extra sexy look.

I am so disappointed in the direction Honda is taking the new 2023 Honda Accords!! Now we have lost the V6 and the 2.0 Turbo!! Do you remember when Honda was convincing the customer that the new 2.0 Turbo Accords a few years ago were just as fast or faster than the previous V6 Accord? Well now they are both gone!! We have been deceived!!
I have done a lot of research and a full EV is not sustainable & good! Which is where we are dangerously heading!
And here is my very long explanation:
A typical EV battery weighs one thousand pounds, about the size of a travel trunk. It contains twenty-five pounds of lithium, sixty pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of aluminum, steel, and plastic. Inside are over 6,000 individual lithium-ion cells.
    .
It should alarm you that all those toxic components come from mining. For instance, to manufacture each EV auto battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, and 25,000 pounds of ore for copper. All told, you dig up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust for just one battery.
    .
KIDS DIE TO MAKE YOUR BATTERIES.
    .
Sixty-eight percent of the world's cobalt, a significant part of a battery, comes from the Congo. Their mines have no pollution controls, and they employ children who die from handling this toxic material. Should we factor in these diseased kids as part of the cost of driving an electric car?"

Yeah Tom I'm kicking myself over the 2.0 Accord. I got the Civic sport touring last May. I saw a 2.0 on the lot but didn't like the blue color. I even went back and looked into trading up last month. But I would have taken in the shorts as they say. Nothing wrong with the Civic but that particular Accord is going away forever.

@@theoneneo5024 hybrid powertrain is to achieve great fuel economy, btw Honda ain’t the only one doing this, Camry also have a hybrid powertrain in all models. Tbh next gen Camry won’t even have a v6, it’ll come with hybrid max powertrain that will be way overpriced, even more than accord right now. You're right and you're wrong. All sunroofs leak in time. However, they have a drainage system built in for that reason so that you usually don't know that they're leaking. If you look at the sunroof up top when it's open, you can usually see two small pin-size holes on either side. Underneath those are plastic tubing that lead through the roof and through the frame to the bottom of the vehicle.....to drain water in the event it gets past the rubber seals up top. So all the commentors who say their older cars' sunroofs never leaked....I would guess they're wrong about that....but since the drainage system in the sunroof routed the water under the car....they never knew it.

  • @XyOtYL

I have the 2022 Accord Sport Hybrid. It’s only 1 second slower than the 2.0 T, but gets almost twice the gas mileage. I’m not a fan of the seating position. I’m almost 6’1”, and even with all the adjustments you can never get into a good visual spot, and your right knee always hits the center console right on the seam of your jeans, so it’s uncomfortable. The seats are quite comfortable, but they also do not fit very well. Clearly they’re made for small people. I’m quite average sized, not skinny, but not obese. My biggest complaint is the audio. Compared to my 2018 Ford Fusion which sounded fantastic stock. Honda audio is hollow with screeching highs that hiss at you even when flat. Honda also limits the frequency response to protect their 2$ speakers, and there is no way to disable that, so even after adding aftermarket speaker’s they’ll sound better but won’t have a flat signal because Honda clearly hates audiophiles. I have the Sonic Gray Pearl. Love the color, fingerprint magnet!! I get compliments on the car daily. (I drive rideshare and the passengers love the car) Now let’s get to the important stuff. Fuel economy. Honda states 44 mpg city, 41 hwy and 43 mpg combined. I run it in eco mode pretty much always, and when driving (speeds 60mph or less) in/out city I usually get 45-48mpg. Since I’ve owned the car (almost 6k now) I have averaged 40 mpg. That had included coast trips, and playing with sport mode in the twisties. The front of the car looks awesome, the profile is good, but Honda gave up on the back end. It’s ugly! Not going to lie. It’s embarrassing looking so bad from the back. Fortunately we don’t see ourselves from the back very often. You can roll the windows down with the key fob, but not up!!!?? Why?? My ford would do both. The backup camera is terrible. Horrible angles. It looks like a fisheye regardless of selection of view. Except for the straight down view which is stupid. My ford had proximity sensors, sport doesn’t. My ford was only an SE too. Only touring comes with all the good stuff. Sport hybrid doesn’t include a sunroof, or blind spot indicators. But only offered on EXL/Touring (the sport 2.0t has them though) why not the hybrid?? Honda doesn’t make sense sometimes. The car handles excellent. A bit of a rough ride from the 235/40/19s, but it corners like a sports car. The 2023s sound disappointing. Buy the 2022, and save thousands. This is my first brand new car, and first Honda. So I guess bucket list of brand new car has been checked off. That’s my review. And my opinions, of my personal/work vehicle. Hope it helps.
