Dave, I started using a Beeline Moto II in September this year. The idea is terrific, the implementation can be frustrating. Biggest issue for me is no ability to download regional maps. When you're out of cell phone reception, which often happens - especially in the better (more remote) riding areas - the Beeline not only can't reroute when you deviate from track, but it often then goes wonky. So on the one hand it encourages you to go far afield, but throws in the towel if you need to reroute (when there is no cell reception). I will say that customer support has been very good. When the Beeline works, it is brilliant. I hope that future upgrades iron these issues out. Loved this ride in Wales with you. Thanks.
Hi Tim, it’s so frustrating isn’t it? It’s such great concept, but the glitchines, especially with Beeline Moto 1 drove, me insane at time! I’ve not experienced an issue with loss of cell phone coverage but can imagine how that would be a pain. I’m happy with Beeline 2 which has resolved many of the initial problems, I shall be putting it through its paces with next years rides out. Cheers for watching and leaving a comment 👍🏻😀
This one did make me smile as we explored hitherto unknown parts of Bettws and then headed off up those country lanes. That's the real reason you passed that Beeline onto me isn't it - you want me to discover the narrowest lanes and tracks up here 😂😂😂.Look forward to part 2 as I was in Llandudno in June too though I went up the Orme by tram. 👍
Hello Peter, the Beeline certainly took me on some wild goose chase, and to be fair some of them were marvellous and I would probably have not visited them if the Beeline hadn’t taken me there! So yes I do hope your Beeline provides you with more delights than frustration. 😀👍🏻
@MerciaMoto that's what I'm looking forward to in the new year-heading up lanes thinking I was on a Beeline to somewhere I'd planned and discovering I wasn't at all 😂. But I always have compass, map and whistle with me so when good weather arrives as surely it must, Hunter and I will be boldly riding in search of strange new lanes 😂😂😂
The magical tour Dave, I now why its called a B -Line. , Short for bloody bin it? Anyway enjoyed the ride out, We did go to Llandudno today by car, but the weather was bloody awfull. Ah well its still remaIns gods country. Ride safe, Bfn Mike Sunny Wales
Hello Mike, yeah it was so frustrating, sometimes it works perfectly but is frustratingly glitchy at times. I have the Beeline Moto 2 now and so far I’ve been really pleased with it. I need to spend some more time exploring Llandudno, ideally when the sun is shining! Hope you’re all safe over there today with this horrendous weather 😬 👍🏻
Great ride, and lovely scenery 👍
Thanks Malcolm, great to hear you enjoyed 😀👍🏻
Great day out Dave, lovely weather too.
Cheers Mick, Hope you’re well? I really copped lucky weather wise for this ride 👍🏻😀
Good morning Dave, Stan and Merv 👍
Belated good morning Peter. The terrible travelling trio! 😂👍🏻
