Con la timbrica tipica della sua Chitarra GOLDEN / DELUXE/ HOFNER Bert Weedon lanciava nel 1959 questo splendido Rock-Boogie costituente il suo cavallo di battaglia. Seguirono altri grandi successi e decine di Album che ne hanno consacrato la sua eccellente bravura. Nel POSTER lo vediamo assieme al grande chitarrista americano DUANE EDDY. Ho scelto la chitarra GIBSON per avvicinarmi il più possibile al suono originale della sua chitarra HOFNER. Backing Track GOT TWANG.

I don't think there was a famous guitarist in England, during the 50s and 60s, who didn't learn the basics from Bert Weedon's Play In A Day book.
Even I learnt my first three chords from my mum's copy!
Very nice performance...like Bert you played the melody flawlessly and in his typically clear and understated style!

Thanks buddy: Bert Weedon was also appreciated by the Beatles. The great guitarists of the 50s / 60s inspired the great musical groups of the early 60s. 🎸🤠

@@FrancescoAlcozer he wrote a sequel to Play In A Day, called “Play Every Day; a guide to advanced guitar playing”
It’s very hard to find but it’s a great reference for Bert’s own preferences for chord melody playing, tips on which keys are best for arranging, as well as using chord arpeggios for improvising.
It’s a great snapshot into British jazz & to the era
