The previous 4k Max was a beast and I can only imagine this 2023 model. Appreciate the review!

Hello, since you mentioned you are using Netgear 970 mesh system. Wondering how’s this with compare to TP-Link deco mesh BE85 which you have reviewed. Specially looking for speed in local network. As I have NAS and I want to have full wireless back haul and want to use 10Gig port on Satellite as lan for my Mac Pro 10Gig port. Any insight will greatly help to buy TPLInk or netgear 970. Many thanks.

I have the same issue with Netgear 970 very poor performance on 10gig port on the satellites when connected wirelessly (Even on the wireless . Wondering, if you can help here with your current observation. Planning to return and go for TPlink BE 95 which I have returned due to lack of 6E signal but it was manageable also there are so many less options compare to deco like no option to separate 6ghz band. I can not test internet speed like you have 2.5gig since I have only 1gig option locally here. I have tested using iperf I get only 200Mbps speed which is way less than BE95 which i used to get 4500Mbps with iperf3. I have also tested with magic Disk test with my NAS and I was getting 250MBps with BE 95 on wireless backhaul and 10g connection. Now with Netgear 970 I get only 80 MBps with same configuration (Wireless backhaul and wired 10Gig connection to my mac pro). Netgear support is not helping here. I may return this product soon as its worst than previous predecessor Orbi 960.

Both really good, i cant remember which is better in terms of wireless speeds but i plan on having the 970 review out by next weekend. The be85 is cheaper though so it does have an upside there even if they have similar speeds (again, i gotta check what numbers i got). Lots of router videos though lol, still need to get the Deco PX50 out before the Orbi since i already finished eith that.

In your opinion do apps look better than the internal apps on the tv?

I prefer it to the smart tv apps. I don’t know if they’re better or not, just seems better

Amazon should be embarrassed…it has no excuse why it was so slow….yes, yes, yes it was fast enough.

wifi speed is not right. Even my 2018 fire tv 4k stick with wifi 5 can get over 300mbps

Are you testing it with speed test the same way I did? There’s an app that gets me 400+ Mbps but I trust speed test the most. Also behind the tv is not helping but that’s where most people including myself place it. I also demonstrated my phone speeds just to show that my WiFi is working great.

@@landpet I see. I did use an app. If the app can get you 400mbps, I would trust the app over the browser.

@@chekiechen I personally trust speedtest.net the most from all my testing that I've done. If the speedtest app exists, I would prioritize that as well.
