If they brought it back without sausage kerbs I'm sure it would become another track limits saga, there would be not as much incentive to bail out if you got the line wrong but you would still see drivers going over the white lines.

Singapore is already difficult to overtake in, re adding what is widely considered as one of the worst corners in f1 by drivers is just asking to make the situation worse, you’re basically eliminating a good overtaking zone and turning it into a horrid flow breaking corner, people only say it was good chicane because it caused many crashes and nostalgia but objectively its a horrendously tedious corner that eliminated any overtaking opportunity, caused tons of damage and ruined the flow of an otherwise good section of the track. Just because a corner is difficult doesnt make it a good corner for fucks sake.
Also considering how big cars are now, how sluggish they are through low speed corners and how sensitive their floor aerodynamics is, the Singapore sling would be absolutely disastrous for everyone involved. Miami’s t14-t16 sequence is already widely regarded as horrible , the singapore sling would literally be an even worse version
@@srthebox4946actually new cars are much softer on suspensions so they would fare better on this chicane but still it would be horrible for the layout

Can't believe Piquet Jr didn't decide to crash in the chicane to make it more believable. I mean, if you're going to cheat, at least do it right
