Hmmm it’s a good question! Depends on so many things (including what skills are in demand). Practice time and who you play music with makes a big impact too. Right now, I think about 10 years is a good estimate 🧐

I have been playing Cajon for abt 3 yrs but I find beat 2 a bit tricky for me😂 I am kinda used to playing with the “hand-to-hand” way
I was the same for many years (probably 5+) just holding to the same patterns mostly. Expanding into new ways of playing always sparks ⚡️ some new creative ideas in my experience. I’m excited to see what you discover!
how to get that background music to practice with?
For this one I made loops out of royalty free music I downloaded.
How do you record? Can you tell me the process? I also play cajon
Hey there! Cajon uses an Audix ADX60 mic. Thats then plugged into a portable TASCAM recorder. I usually EQ the low and high to be stronger and then add some reverb and compression. That's it!

Can you try videos with the camera straight on the cajon, I find this super hard to follow.
There’s a mix of different angles across various videos on the channel. Have a browse for now and I’ll see about some multi angle videos in the future perhaps.
How do you record the cajon you play?
There's a video on my channel called "meet my cajon mic" that covers it but I think I want to do a new updated video. Go check that one first though 😀

But do you use an acoustic one or the electric cajon?
It's acoustic. The mic inside records just the sound of the cajon. I always add my own EQ, compression and reverb to make it more impressive though!

True but actually there's a really cool trick with UA-cam where you can slow anything down. Look for the settings icon and change the playback speed. Give that a go and let me know how it is for you then!
