i have a confession to make. i used a blowpipe when i got the firecape, but i entirely forgot that it had a spec heal... welp. jad was a lot harder than the waves for me though

The darts dps is higher than the healing of the healers

I actually did something super similar to this few days back, I transferred about 100m though.57 cb 77rng 52pray 54hp Few take aways from my time... I think accuracy is king at low levels I brought max pure gear and 3 range pots (1div) for food I used mantas (7) as they provide a nice quick heal when needed. As well being acb came in clutch when needing the extra range. Purple sweets carried me through though I used 150-200 per attempt, got cape on 4th try.
Also, saving specs for 90s worked well, letting me to outright out damage them and heal over what they hit
made it to 63.

99 range 76 def and i cant beat him on mobile lol

Blowpipe changes everything. From a max melee without a single fire cape to multiple fire capes without any effort. Even did similar thing to this video, 1 def 45 pray 82 range pure (gives like +2 max hits over 75 range) fire cape literally first try without any preparation, some mistakes were not enough to die during the waves. So, yeah, basically blowpipe and some prayers is all you need, and no blowpipe 123 cmb equals multiple failures.
Pro tip - at around 95+ range with addy darts and rigour, you can ignore the healers if u are on task, easily outdamages them and u just save time instead of luring them. :D the difference is like 30-40 mins vs 1 def pure 70-80 minute caves.
Fire cape as a main was already light work pre-blowpipe. Guthans.... Ancients.... When they added SGS & blowpipe it was just trivial at that point.
So me with a amulet of furt, archers ring, full blessed dhide, & a toxic blowpipe & twisted buckler with the dragon crossbow... Should just go for it?

Trying to get my first firecape rn, blowing through gp like crazy for potions so I decided to give up mid attempt to just study some videos
Prayer flicking really will stretch your pots especially when you’re doing magers. Just don’t mess up. Those guys take for ever to kill so when you have them kill them first then you can safespot the other guys.
I hear you can do it at lvl 3 with a ring of suffering and purple sweets

Tbh i used the xbow to lure them when they were in bad rotation. Blowpipe xbow has fast hits & long rangz
you cant really see anything valuable like monsters and people, just the distance. its a render depth setting.
Lucky I’ve did the fight caves 5 times now and still can’t even get to jab at combat level 82

I feel this, ran out of restores and brews at wave like 54 and just gave up until I get 70 atk/def for guthan's
The reason people use things like Karils Xbow is because of its long range. A lot of the time throughout the entire cave most players will need the range of the karils crossbow to agro things or hit it without getting in melee range of other mobs. Especially on Jad when the healers come out. Most players who do not have cape experience will need the range to agro the healers off or risk getting melee by Jad. - Guy with over 1000 capes.
im still failing whats the best gear for me to use? i have 70 def 75 ranged and i could spent around 15m Thanks alot!
I was at wave 57 and ran out of supplies. I was not prayer flicking, but now i will be. Thanks for the tip. Lvl 66, 1 def, 79 range.

But you have armour so it's not only blowpipe :p
i calculated how much dps you can get with only blowpipe and it is enough to do fight cave now only thing we need is someone to do it :P
there is like only 18% diffrence in dps with only blowpipe and blowpipe + blessed d'hide
ofcourse it is harder with no defence armor tho

LoneSeven are you a 1 defence pure? Cause the best strategy is to tag them all and just run one direction so only one of them can attack you. If you’re 1 defense, you could just kill them before they heal jad to full. I had to kill them twice but they never respawned!
Try a few chinchompas so you can lure them al with single attack
Dragon Darts out DPS the healers. It’s a little more expensive, but they now make the healers irrelevant.
Prayer wouldn't switch because of lag, and jad was too far away to see what attack method he was using. I stayed where the orange 360 spawned and he still spawned far away and I couldn't see where he was at and got two hit. Fuck this game.

Blade Storm it’s all about grinding those jads until you comfortably switch! Took me a good 5 tries on the main back in the day as well haha

Don't sweat it. Bp made it super easy for me. Would have had jad on first try but i wasted one potion on messing up a switch. Other then that second try i got it. The build up faded for me once I was confident with announcing my switches out loud

Got a fire Cape on my main at base 70s and 75 range. Got one on my hcim at a similar level but with a rcb. Decided to get one on my pure with basically exactly the stats in this video.
I made it to the last wave before jad with 5 full brews and 7 super restores, and guess what I learned?
The magers can melee.

Yeah back to kbow or rcbow. Blow pipe was insane in comparison. Doing it for my friend now and thinking they should rename the blow pipe to suck pipe.
