    Medical is so underrated its insane. It is quite literally the most likely circumstance any person will run into, yet I can count 2 successful yt channels centric to medical in a 'tactical' or 'prepared civilian' sense. It isn't 'sexy' but I guarantee you'll be a badass if you save someone's life in a medical context.

    I have one of the pocket EDC kits and absolutely love it! My passenger seat has a phone-sized pocket on the side and it holds the kit, an extra tourniquet, some trauma shears, and a flashlight perfectly. It's out of the way until you need it and has just enough to treat any puncture injury sustained on a limb.

    I have the EDC kit that I bought loaded out with their gear. (You can buy just the pouches). Love it. Carry it everywhere even work. Then I bought the responder IFAK pouch without any of their contents and loaded it out with my own stuff I already had. It’s super low profile compared to what I had on my belt. The durability is amazing. If you don’t have medical, you should.

    Good that they include a Mylar/space blanket… keeping anyone who’s losing blood and needs their clotting functions to work warm is pretty important, even in warmer climates, and it’s often overlooked.

    Thanks Aaron, got my 1st responder kit about a month ago. It lives on my day pack now which I will always have with me. LTC has some good ideas in terms of medical gear. They also have pretty good youtube content for things like how to repack your kits after taking them apart to get familiar... among other training aids.

    Have 3 of the EDC kits one on duty belt, one on range belt, one for my pocket/backpack in addition to bigger kits and love them been rocking them for about a year and a half now. I also added a pair of mini chest seals to each of them just have to fold it properly to fit think LTC has a video for it. Adds a little width to it but still pretty manageable and comfortable

  • @xFatCommandox
    @xFatCommandox 3 роки тому

    The "Get Home Alive" kit is nice for all of the stuff that it contains, but just as a matter of preference I keep gear segregated into two smaller kits, a trauma kit and a "boo boo" kit. Trauma kit only contains a tourniquet, pair of chest seals, Israeli bandage, wound packing gauze, and a decomp needle. Everything else for non-life threatening injuries goes in the boo boo kit, and they are separate pouches so there is no danger of needing to try and dig through band-aids to find a chest seal if you are under duress and seconds count.

    I’ve got their small wallet-type kit and really like it when I’m wearing shorts (but usually wear Dark Angel ankle kit with SOFT-T wide TQ otherwise because of its slim size). The LTC wallet-type kit is a bit bulky as equipped, but if you carry a CAT TQ already, then you can dump the SWAT-T TQ and it’s much slimmer and lighter weight, or you can put something else in it’s place, though the SWAT-T is actually very versatile (as shown in a Mountain Man Medical video)
