TBH.... none! Most of them have made their appearance in journeys and that's more than I expected...morever if Ash uses his old Pokemon's, his journeys won't be given a chance to shine which would be very unfair
I think having a mix of Journeys Pokemon and old Pokemon would be cool. If all the matches are 6v6, I'd love to see Ash bring 2-3 old Pokemon back while the other 3-4 are from Journeys. That way his Journeys mons still have tons of time to shine.
Since they said in Episode 108 that all Masters Tournament battles would be 3v3, that's what I'm going with so no real time for both Ash's Journeys team and his old Pokémon to rotate. Hopefully Ash vs Leon is a 6v6
I believe , Pikachu, Lucario, Gengar are a must for the master 8. Pikachu z move , Lucario mega evolve , Gengar gigantamax. For the other 3, I think it should be the OG fire-water-grass trio. For fire , I want Ash to use Charizard for one battle and Infernape for the other and also talonflame if possible. For water , Obviously, Greninja. For grass , Sceptile. That should make a hell of a team.

I think that he should a lineup like Gengar, Charizard, and Snorlax. That way you get a mix of Ash's Pokémon throughout the tournament and hope the match against Leon is 6v6 so you get his top mons like Lucario, Pikachu, Infernape, Sceptile, Greninja, and Dragonite
Hope to see Incineroar again, we barley got to see any of him since he evolved from Torracat. Krookodile would be awesome too, that beast almost never loses and always comes in clutch for Ash when he's facing adversity.
Ash should definitely bring back his best guys and I have a feeling the final match of Ash VS Leon will be Pikachu against Charizard a clash of partners to see who really deserves to be the best.
2:27 a good theory I heard was that was Swellow guts ability being used. Pikachu paralyzed Swellow (giving it a status condition) which then boosted it's attack power

The only Pokémon I expect to be part of the Masters 8 battles alongside the Journeys team are Infernape and Greninja as they are the only ones to have actually done anything this series, besides the others that only appeared to say hello… or only appear in flashbacks (or not appear at all) Hopefully the Alola team will get to do more in the future, because I too would really like to see Incineroar get involved most of all.
It’s most likely going to be 3 vs 3 (as revealed in the Raihan episode). He can only use a maximum of 9 different Pokemon providing he actually makes it to the final. His journeys team will get I assume quite abit of screen time especially seeing as Lucario (Mega Evolution), Gengar (Gigantamax) and Pikachu (Z-move) have the battle gimmicks; This doesn’t leave much space to call on some reserves… I would only really consider bringing back: Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape, Greninja and Lycanroc depending on who Ash is facing. Greninja for me needs to return if Ash makes the finals (or Semi-finals). He’s probably the best equipped Pokemon to take down Leon’s Charizard or any Charizard for that matter. Steven’s Mega Metagross/Diantha’s mega Gardevior, I would possibly bring back Charizard/Infernape. Cynthia’s Garchomp though is an absolute powerhouse! It would take something pretty special to take it down. Can’t wait for the M8!
The problem is that they never can make any of his top hitters the fall guys, which means Sirfetch'd (Who is 100% gonna battle Leon regardless due to that having been confirmed in its evolution episode after winning against Rinto when Ash said to that Leon is waiting for them), Dracovish and Gengar are 100% gonna suffer as a result. The final will be Ash's journeys mons anyways and i feel like Ash bringing back reserves in the Masters Eight, would make him getting any new Pokemon in Journeys pointless, since he could have used them from the start and evolve some of them.
I don't think Raihan is any indication of the top 8 also being 3v3. It was just a promo match, it wasn't actually part of the top 8 proper yet. So I'm still hoping for 6v6 battles spanning multiple episodes. This is Ash's grand finale most likely, so they should give it everything they have imo.

My advice is to make content that you enjoy making as well as make it in some way unique so that it stands out from similar content. And the more video you make, the more practice you get editing, making thumbnails, figuring out the UA-cam algorithm, etc. Practice makes perfect, and there is always room to grow!

Ash Charizard knows exactly how to take out other Charizards and has here the Advantage. It trained there to be the strongest Charizard of the world. If we let Ash's Charizard battle Leon's or Alain's ( No Mega Stone, no Z-Move or Gigantamax), it definitely could win
I can see the writers making this worse by going with his current team but if Ash is facing the best I just wish to see a version of his best out there. Imagine Ash going back to Kanto to train and finds a keystone to have Mega Charizard Y.

Fully agree with your list except for Sceptile. I believe overall Corphish was better than sceptile as without that Darkrai victory , sceptile would have been forgotten. Also I would add Leavanny . Leavanny is underrated as hell.

Charizard to Greninja transition is perfect! Yeah, #1 is without a doubt the most important Pokemon to be brought back to the Masters 8, besides Totodile
why wouldn't he use his journey's team? Don't get me wrong, of course I want his strongest pokemon. But the show writers invested a ton into his current team, it doesn't make sense to me as to why they wouldn't include them. also, when is the dang masters 8 starting??? this is epic.

I want to see a friendly rivalry between ash's other aces. Lucario already has a rivalry with greninja but it should not be called rivalry because greninja clearly bodies him.I want a battle among ash's fire starters. Imagine charizard, infernape and incineroar all having a battle to test their skills. I want to see ash's sceptile vs greninja. Both of them are fast pokemons so the battle would be interesting. i want ash's melmetal to return the most because it has a gmax form and I want ash to use its gmax form once. Ash should go to the proffesor oaks lab with his journeys team and train there for a while.

If it becomes a practical tournament then surely it would make bringing all of these Pokémon a logic if ash wins against the champions. Otherwise if he wins with the current team it would be unreasonable. Current team is very good but not at the level of champions
I’d love to see Ash switch between his old best hitters and still keep his new guys in the shine. One match could be Dragonite, Gengar, Lucario, Sceptile, Greninja, Charizard Another match could be Dracovish, Pikachu, Sirfetched, Snorlax, Infernape, and Swellow There’s endless possibilities, I just hope they give credit to the Pokémon that have been before this new team. The old team deserves some love too
I still always wonder if before he faces Alain again, Alain gives his a Charizardite from his journeys since Ash left Kalos. then we get Mega Charizards squaring off. same time though, seeing Greninja get even if Alains Charizard would be suiting too
or maybe he gives/lends Ash his own Charizardite after Ash beats him with Greninja, and then Ash's Charizard can fight Leon's Charizard. Best case scenario imo :D
6v6 with Ash using a mix of his Journeys team and his strongest Pokémon, I’d take Pikachu, Lucario, Sceptile, Greninja, Charizard/Infernape, and Goodra/Noivern/Dragonite. Tempted to say Glalie due to its ability to use ice beam against dragon types.
@@EliteTrainerMark I was honestly split between Gengar and Sceptile. I do think it would be good to have a Gigantamax Pokémon on the team, but I do like Sceptile’s speed and agility. I feel people forget how OP Sceptile was.
10) Gliscor - Super cool pokemon that really didn't get its time to shine in its own anime. Came back much more powerful but still had training to do. It'd be awesome to see it become a super powerful pokemon, a big character development from its early days as being scared to fly 9) Glalie - Wild card. Glalie is one of the most underappreciated pokemon that Ash owns. Straight up. And considering Cynthia's ace, Leon's Dragapult, and pretty much all of Lance and Iris's team are weak to ice... this could catapult Glalie to being one of Ash's most skilled pokemon (along with having one of the best win rates already) 8) Snorlax - Everyone loves Snorlax. Goofy, funny, chubby fella. Super powerful and one of Ash's ace pokemon 7) Charizard - While I do love Ash's Charizard... there's already enough Charizards. 6) Sceptile - Probably Ash's coolest pokemon in my pokemon. And no, it shouldn't be sacrificed! 5) Bulbasaur - Literally right next to Pikachu, Charizard, and Greninja as the most loyal pokemon with an extreme knack for battling. I know Bulbasaur gets brought back often but it's for a reason. I'd love to see it fight in a high stakes battle like the good ol' days 4) Heracross - Underrated secondary ace of Johto. It's super good and I'd love to see Ash use a bug again. It's been awhile. Also one of the few fighting types he has, and definitely the second best after Lucario 3) Greninja - Same reasoning you gave for why Greninja isn't #1. But still wanna see it back 2) Kingler - For having such a good battle history and lack of battle experience, I truly believe Ash's Kingler could be a top 10 or maybe top 5 pokemon in actual skills and not win rate. They need to bring it back 1) Infernape - No explanation needed. They've built up some hype. We'd like to see it return Honorable mentions: Krookodile - I love sandile. I just never could connect to a single one of Ash's pokemon from Unova. None of them. But he is very powerful, and I wouldn't mind seeing a return Muk - Probably would have been my #11. Goofy loveable guy, different battle style. I just dont think it'd do anything good except maybe against Iris's Excadrill to absorb all the drill type moves. We all know anime Muk is very different lmao Incineroar, Lycanrock, Melmetal - We just saw these pokemon in the last series. I'm not in a huge rush to bring back alolan pokemon

I'm mostly biased here, but given Ash is the Alolan champion I'd love to see his Alolan team in the fight. Heck, while I have no basis on this ever happening (as I'm still watching the Ultra Adventures season), it would be dope to see Tapu Koko again, if not battling, watching the battle from somewhere. I know he already blessed Ash, but if he kept watching Ash too that would melt my heart

If feel like ash will use the "Pokemon" he has at Oak's lab corresponding to who hes facing. So for example, against Alain it will be Greninja, Cynthia will be Infernape, and probably the others aswell. I mainly said those two, because they have both been hyped up so much, to battle ash. For Leon, it would obviously be Pikachu
In my headcannon Ash will face Lance - Cynthia and Leon. I think final battle they will make 6v6 instead of 3v3 so 12 pokemon in total. Lance can be good match up for Snorlax. So I can see Snorlax + Pikachu + Gmax Gengar there. Cynthia can be good for Charizard vs Garchomp so Sirfetchd, Dracovish and Charizard can be there And last battle I think ash will use pikachu + dragonite + mega lucario. This is where we can also see Greninja + Sceptile + Infernape to give it a good water grass fire core. This way all his new pokemon plays a part while older ones still be highlighted. I just don't want Leon's Charizard to be defeated by a giant aura sphere made by Mega Lucario. I hope he starts with Lucario to gain advantage, Leon brings it back with Charizard and Greninja, dragonite or Pikachu finishes it off.

honestly, it would be awesome if Ash used 2 Journeys mons and 4 reserves for his top 8 and top 4 battles. with the finals being reserved for his Journeys team ofc. That’s 8 reserves, so one from every region, plus one from Orange Islands. Every major journey except for the Battle Frontier, but he traded away the only Pokémon he caught there.

Episode 1: Introduction to the masters 8, matchups revealed stuff like that Episode 2: Diantha vs Steven and Leon vs Alain, if Ash’s Greninja isn’t returning then Ash has no need to battle Alain. We wouldn’t get the full 3v3, but we would at least get the final matches (so like we’d get to see Mega Gardevoir vs Mega Metagross, as well as a Charizard battle, but the rest of the battles would be skipped) Episode 3: Iris vs Cynthia full battle, Ash is cheering or whatever, Iris shows her strength but she still loses. Episode 4: Ash vs Lance, Ash uses Dracovish, Sirfetch’d, and Gengar. Final battle is between G-Max Gengar and Dynamax Gyarados. Episode 5: Semi-final match between Leon and Steven Stone/Diantha, couldn’t care less tbh. Episode 6/7: Ash vs Cynthia, Ash is using Pikachu, Dragonite, and Lucario. Cynthia is using Garchomp, Kommo-O, and Roserade. I believe this should be a 2 parter because of the 10 year buildup. At the end of part 2, all of Ash’s companions return plus a few other key characters like Gary, Delia, Professor Oak, and Gladion. Episode 8: Reunion episode with all of Ash’s friends, at the end of the episode it is revealed Leon pulled some strings and made the finals a complete 6v6 battle, which Ash is thrilled about because during the episode he was indecisive about what Pokémon to use against Leon. Episode 9/10: Ash vs Leon complete, I would’ve made it a 3 parter but i feel like Journeys wouldn’t go through with that tbh! Also there’s not a lot of time left, so i thought 10 episodes would be a great stopping point.
Here's my top 10 list of Ash's mons, that I hope, would battle in M8: 10. Melmetal - it's only had 2 battles and both were mediocre at best, despite this being Ash's first mythical and legendary 9. Noivern - XY&Z screen really did him dirty by mostly focusing on Ash-Greninja and he really need an another battle 8. Glalie - it never battled, ever since the Hoenn League, which was the most boring league in the anime 7. Torterra - give this man a W, for God sake, he deserves it the most 6. Snorlax - I want a G-Max Snorlqx so much 5. Lycanroc - because, despite being Ash's Alolan ACE, it's easily his second weakest pokemon, after Rowlet and he really needs a new fight 4. Sceptile - it's my favorite Ash's starter 3. Greninja - because I'm not gonna buy, if anyone, other then Greninja would defeat Alain's Mega Charizard 2. Infernape - for the same reason, as Greninja, but with Cynthia's Garchomp, instead of Alain 1. Krookodile - because it's my favorite Ash's pokemon
I HATE that these masters matches are only going to be 3 v 3. This is to crown the world champion, they should all be 6 on 6, that way you could save the journeys team for Leon and use 12 others in the QF and SF matches. Or you could even split them into teams of 2 journeys pokemon and 4 returning pokemon in each match. Journeys really didnt need its own dedicated team, Ash should have used all his old pokemon as well as the new ones in rotation.
I think it would be fitting to see greninja face off with charizard again. In their battle, ash could get alain down to his last pokemon with lucario left standing. Lucario could then get battered by charizard and then he watches stunned as greninja awakens the true strength of the battle bond and defeats the mega charizard x. I think this would be great for it's development as seeing greninjas true power would allow lucario to have the motivation to fight Leon's charizard

I don’t think they will add greninja Because ash greninja form is kinda like a spin-off mega form. He wins just make his lucario sit out while he does ash greninja and he can’t do both that would be too taxing on his body and probably won’t be aloud in the tournament
So the thunder armour strat goes like this Pikachu uses thunder on itself Pikachu then tanks it’s own thunder dew to lightning rod, the thunder hits swellow which causes paralysis which then activates guts which gives swellow a power boost while also staying alive thanks to pikachus lightning rod That’s at least my theory on how it worked But then again it’s the anime I can’t for the life of me figure out how pikachu killed golem with thunderbolt in the first movies
I mainly agreed with your list. But personally I would want to see Ash’s team from Alola to comeback. Naganadel would be hard to see it coming back since it’s watching its family, Melmetal can throw off all of the masters 8 no matter what, Lycanroc cuz why not, and same to Incineroar, I don’t what to see God himself compete but sleep on the stands. Other than that team I would like to see Charizard, Snorlax, Sceptile, Infernape, Krookodile, and Greninja all of those for obvious reasons too. Alola love is because if he is introduced as Alola Champion it would be great to see that some of the team. Than the last out of no where Pokémon I want to see back is the Primeape, the story is Ash runs into Ash randomly and shows ash his Primeape. But this ain’t no Primeape it has evolved to an unknown Pokémon from Gen.9. This makes Ash think about traveling there after the PWC tournament ends.
Kinglar isn't one of Ash's powerhouses. Out of high old pokemon, Charizard, Sceptile, Greninja, Infarnape, are his powerhouses. All his powerhouses are Charizard, Greninja, Lucario, Dragonite, Pikachu, Sceptile, Infarnape, Krookadile and maybe Swellow and Snorlax.
I think if ash bring that fat blue bear snorlax I think he will use zmove snorlium if he travels alola again and grys snorlium zmove stone for any reason I think or maybe gmax it it will be mmm dangerous

My top 5 Pokemon ash should bring back 1. Greninja (releasing him was a big mistake and now that Alain is in the Master Class, that long awaited score HAS to be settled. No excuses) 2. Incineroar (seeing him take down his rival was epic as heck and the evolution was a nice reward. But they just did him dirty from there by never letting him battle again. Like come on, u let the top cat fully evolve and not let him show what he can do at his full potential?) 3. Infernape (best Pokemon Ash had in sinnoh hands down. His blaze is like nothing the world has seen and I think that ash's infernape could have a real chance of beating Cynthia's Garchomp with it 4. Lycanroc (the doggo won the league for ash, this one should b no surprise) 5. Charizard (probs the third strongest Charizard there is after Leon's and Alain's. Ash's Charizard would b a welcome addition to the Masters 8
Tbh it's true that sweallow and tallonflame are pretty good but I always thought that they are strong because of their speed. But when it come to pure sheer power, staraptor is way above them it's still fast enough and has some crazy moves. So for me staraptor is ash's strongest bird.

My list, lycanroc, incineroar, charizard, infernape, greninja, sceptile, krookodile, staraptor, melmetal and if possible naganadel. Melmetal and naganadel, since they are a mythical and ultrabeast, it is possible the others have never seen those species. Giving them a big surprise, making ash the tobias of this tournament.
So all of Ash's Alola team except for Rowlet haha. I only included Lycanroc and Incineroar because I didn't want to have more than two Pokémon from his Alola team, but I was very tempted to include Melmetal

Also what about sceptile who is tied with ashs bulbasaur, bulbasaur despite not evolving he thru the series showed that he'd a high level. I say for one of matches especially against Cynthia the original 4 he used to defeat brandon.. also the issue I have when comparing ashs greninja and charizard is with that ash's greninja is that his regular is a lower level than charizards with ash finally having the mega bracelet mega evolving his charizard would make charizard stronger , than the form ash greninja move. Alain and Leon's charizards use the one who beat a articuno
1 Lapras (great ice type and counters so much of the masters 8) 2 charizard (I don't think I'll need to explain the rest of the picks) 3 snorlax 4 sceptile 5 infernape 6 staraptor slightly wins over swallow for me and talonflame is another fire type and he has better options for that 7 greninja 8 krookadile 9 gliscor great type coverage only weak to water and ice, it was also a very solid polemon for him so its a good option. 10 heracross mostly because its one of my favourite pokemon 11 hawlucha 12 lycanroc 13 incineroar 14 Melmetal these are all the pokemon I would consider bringing back for the Masters 8 if 6 on 6. if its 3 v 3 vs alain i would use infernape, grennija and lycanroc if 3 on 3 as they are great counters to his team and offers a lot of fire power. cynthia i would use lapras, charizard and sceptile diantha is a bit of a mystery but lucario, charizard and grenninja (maybe krookadile) iris-lapras, charizard and dragonite Steven- infernape, lucario and grenninja Lance- pikachu, charizard, hard to decide the 3rd pokemon greninja or lapras maybe. Leon- greninja, charizard, not sure for the 3rd pokemon. I hope its 6 on 6 though. @@EliteTrainerMark I've been invested in pokemon for too long to be happy with only his current team even though I do like his team. I think for long term fans it would be a bit of a slap on the face but I'm happy they at least progressed the series that he's actually battling to be the best.
Honestly I want Incineroar to return the most because it got shafted after beating Kukui's Incineroar and end unable to continue just so it wouldn't do anything to the epic Pikachu v. Tapu Koko. Also people THINK Lycanroc is better than Incineroar but no, it beat the strongest pokemon in alola (with a trainer) then evolved RIGHT after which means it is tons stronger and (again) being shafted from Ash's Pikachu And some Naganadel v Tapu Koko. Finally CAN LYCANROC BEAT KUKUI"S INCINEROAR.
Don't get me wrong, I love Ash's Greninja. But we ain't seeing it again most likely. The whole premise of its return was it passing its baton off to Lucario. Now I'd love for it to return. But when it came back so recently, I would be shocked if it properly came back, unless a battle takes place in Kalos, since Greninja wouldn't have to leave the place he's defending.

I think having a mix of Journeys Pokemon and old Pokemon would be cool. If all the matches are 6v6, I'd love to see Ash bring 2-3 old Pokemon back while the other 3-4 are from Journeys. That way his Journeys mons still have tons of time to shine.
Since they said in Episode 108 that all Masters Tournament battles would be 3v3, that's what I'm going with so no real time for both Ash's Journeys team and his old Pokémon to rotate. Hopefully Ash vs Leon is a 6v6
I believe , Pikachu, Lucario, Gengar are a must for the master 8. Pikachu z move , Lucario mega evolve , Gengar gigantamax. For the other 3, I think it should be the OG fire-water-grass trio. For fire , I want Ash to use Charizard for one battle and Infernape for the other and also talonflame if possible. For water , Obviously, Greninja. For grass , Sceptile. That should make a hell of a team.

I think that he should a lineup like Gengar, Charizard, and Snorlax. That way you get a mix of Ash's Pokémon throughout the tournament and hope the match against Leon is 6v6 so you get his top mons like Lucario, Pikachu, Infernape, Sceptile, Greninja, and Dragonite
Hope to see Incineroar again, we barley got to see any of him since he evolved from Torracat. Krookodile would be awesome too, that beast almost never loses and always comes in clutch for Ash when he's facing adversity.
Krookodile is one of my favorite Unova Pokemons so it would be delightful for me to see him return.

The only Pokémon I expect to be part of the Masters 8 battles alongside the Journeys team are Infernape and Greninja as they are the only ones to have actually done anything this series, besides the others that only appeared to say hello… or only appear in flashbacks (or not appear at all)
Hopefully the Alola team will get to do more in the future, because I too would really like to see Incineroar get involved most of all.

It’s most likely going to be 3 vs 3 (as revealed in the Raihan episode). He can only use a maximum of 9 different Pokemon providing he actually makes it to the final. His journeys team will get I assume quite abit of screen time especially seeing as Lucario (Mega Evolution), Gengar (Gigantamax) and Pikachu (Z-move) have the battle gimmicks; This doesn’t leave much space to call on some reserves…
I would only really consider bringing back: Charizard, Sceptile, Infernape, Greninja and Lycanroc depending on who Ash is facing.
Greninja for me needs to return if Ash makes the finals (or Semi-finals). He’s probably the best equipped Pokemon to take down Leon’s Charizard or any Charizard for that matter. Steven’s Mega Metagross/Diantha’s mega Gardevior, I would possibly bring back Charizard/Infernape. Cynthia’s Garchomp though is an absolute powerhouse! It would take something pretty special to take it down.

The problem is that they never can make any of his top hitters the fall guys, which means Sirfetch'd (Who is 100% gonna battle Leon regardless due to that having been confirmed in its evolution episode after winning against Rinto when Ash said to that Leon is waiting for them), Dracovish and Gengar are 100% gonna suffer as a result.
The final will be Ash's journeys mons anyways and i feel like Ash bringing back reserves in the Masters Eight, would make him getting any new Pokemon in Journeys pointless, since he could have used them from the start and evolve some of them.
I don't think Raihan is any indication of the top 8 also being 3v3. It was just a promo match, it wasn't actually part of the top 8 proper yet. So I'm still hoping for 6v6 battles spanning multiple episodes. This is Ash's grand finale most likely, so they should give it everything they have imo.

My advice is to make content that you enjoy making as well as make it in some way unique so that it stands out from similar content. And the more video you make, the more practice you get editing, making thumbnails, figuring out the UA-cam algorithm, etc. Practice makes perfect, and there is always room to grow!

10) Gliscor - Super cool pokemon that really didn't get its time to shine in its own anime. Came back much more powerful but still had training to do. It'd be awesome to see it become a super powerful pokemon, a big character development from its early days as being scared to fly
9) Glalie - Wild card. Glalie is one of the most underappreciated pokemon that Ash owns. Straight up. And considering Cynthia's ace, Leon's Dragapult, and pretty much all of Lance and Iris's team are weak to ice... this could catapult Glalie to being one of Ash's most skilled pokemon (along with having one of the best win rates already)
8) Snorlax - Everyone loves Snorlax. Goofy, funny, chubby fella. Super powerful and one of Ash's ace pokemon
7) Charizard - While I do love Ash's Charizard... there's already enough Charizards.
6) Sceptile - Probably Ash's coolest pokemon in my pokemon. And no, it shouldn't be sacrificed!
5) Bulbasaur - Literally right next to Pikachu, Charizard, and Greninja as the most loyal pokemon with an extreme knack for battling. I know Bulbasaur gets brought back often but it's for a reason. I'd love to see it fight in a high stakes battle like the good ol' days
4) Heracross - Underrated secondary ace of Johto. It's super good and I'd love to see Ash use a bug again. It's been awhile. Also one of the few fighting types he has, and definitely the second best after Lucario
3) Greninja - Same reasoning you gave for why Greninja isn't #1. But still wanna see it back
2) Kingler - For having such a good battle history and lack of battle experience, I truly believe Ash's Kingler could be a top 10 or maybe top 5 pokemon in actual skills and not win rate. They need to bring it back
1) Infernape - No explanation needed. They've built up some hype. We'd like to see it return

Krookodile - I love sandile. I just never could connect to a single one of Ash's pokemon from Unova. None of them. But he is very powerful, and I wouldn't mind seeing a return
Muk - Probably would have been my #11. Goofy loveable guy, different battle style. I just dont think it'd do anything good except maybe against Iris's Excadrill to absorb all the drill type moves. We all know anime Muk is very different lmao
Incineroar, Lycanrock, Melmetal - We just saw these pokemon in the last series. I'm not in a huge rush to bring back alolan pokemon

If feel like ash will use the "Pokemon" he has at Oak's lab corresponding to who hes facing. So for example, against Alain it will be Greninja, Cynthia will be Infernape, and probably the others aswell. I mainly said those two, because they have both been hyped up so much, to battle ash. Ash's released Pokémon would all be so fun to see. Imagine a Lapras, Pidgeot, Naganadel, etc. return
In my headcannon Ash will face Lance - Cynthia and Leon. I think final battle they will make 6v6 instead of 3v3 so 12 pokemon in total.
Lance can be good match up for Snorlax. So I can see Snorlax + Pikachu + Gmax Gengar there.
Cynthia can be good for Charizard vs Garchomp so Sirfetchd, Dracovish and Charizard can be there
And last battle I think ash will use pikachu + dragonite + mega lucario. This is where we can also see Greninja + Sceptile + Infernape to give it a good water grass fire core.
This way all his new pokemon plays a part while older ones still be highlighted. I just don't want Leon's Charizard to be defeated by a giant aura sphere made by Mega Lucario. I hope he starts with Lucario to gain advantage, Leon brings it back with Charizard and Greninja, dragonite or Pikachu finishes it off.

We wouldn’t get the full 3v3, but we would at least get the final matches (so like we’d get to see Mega Gardevoir vs Mega Metagross, as well as a Charizard battle, but the rest of the battles would be skipped)
Episode 3: Iris vs Cynthia full battle, Ash is cheering or whatever, Iris shows her strength but she still loses.
Episode 4: Ash vs Lance, Ash uses Dracovish, Sirfetch’d, and Gengar. Final battle is between G-Max Gengar and Dynamax Gyarados.
Episode 5: Semi-final match between Leon and Steven Stone/Diantha, couldn’t care less tbh.
Episode 6/7: Ash vs Cynthia, Ash is using Pikachu, Dragonite, and Lucario. Cynthia is using Garchomp, Kommo-O, and Roserade. I believe this should be a 2 parter because of the 10 year buildup. At the end of part 2, all of Ash’s companions return plus a few other key characters like Gary, Delia, Professor Oak, and Gladion.
Episode 8: Reunion episode with all of Ash’s friends, at the end of the episode it is revealed Leon pulled some strings and made the finals a complete 6v6 battle, which Ash is thrilled about because during the episode he was indecisive about what Pokémon to use against Leon.
Episode 9/10: Ash vs Leon complete, I would’ve made it a 3 parter but i feel like Journeys wouldn’t go through with that tbh! Also there’s not a lot of time left, so i thought 10 episodes would be a great stopping point.
Here's my top 10 list of Ash's mons, that I hope, would battle in M8:
10. Melmetal - it's only had 2 battles and both were mediocre at best, despite this being Ash's first mythical and legendary
9. Noivern - XY&Z screen really did him dirty by mostly focusing on Ash-Greninja and he really need an another battle
8. Glalie - it never battled, ever since the Hoenn League, which was the most boring league in the anime
7. Torterra - give this man a W, for God sake, he deserves it the most
6. Snorlax - I want a G-Max Snorlqx so much
5. Lycanroc - because, despite being Ash's Alolan ACE, it's easily his second weakest pokemon, after Rowlet and he really needs a new fight
4. Sceptile - it's my favorite Ash's starter
3. Greninja - because I'm not gonna buy, if anyone, other then Greninja would defeat Alain's Mega Charizard
2. Infernape - for the same reason, as Greninja, but with Cynthia's Garchomp, instead of Alain
1. Krookodile - because it's my favorite Ash's pokemon
Facts Lycanroc is actually weak despite being the ace and where incineroar lol
Krookodile would honestly probably be my #3 behind Incineroar and Infernape, I like Ash's Krookodile so much
I HATE that these masters matches are only going to be 3 v 3.
This is to crown the world champion, they should all be 6 on 6, that way you could save the journeys team for Leon and use 12 others in the QF and SF matches.
Or you could even split them into teams of 2 journeys pokemon and 4 returning pokemon in each match.
Journeys really didnt need its own dedicated team, Ash should have used all his old pokemon as well as the new ones in rotation.
I think it would be fitting to see greninja face off with charizard again. In their battle, ash could get alain down to his last pokemon with lucario left standing. Lucario could then get battered by charizard and then he watches stunned as greninja awakens the true strength of the battle bond and defeats the mega charizard x. I think this would be great for it's development as seeing greninjas true power would allow lucario to have the motivation to fight Leon's charizard

I don’t think they will add greninja Because ash greninja form is kinda like a spin-off mega form. He wins just make his lucario sit out while he does ash greninja and he can’t do both that would be too taxing on his body and probably won’t be aloud in the tournament

So the thunder armour strat goes like this
Pikachu uses thunder on itself
Pikachu then tanks it’s own thunder dew to lightning rod, the thunder hits swellow which causes paralysis which then activates guts which gives swellow a power boost while also staying alive thanks to pikachus lightning rod
That’s at least my theory on how it worked
But then again it’s the anime I can’t for the life of me figure out how pikachu killed golem with thunderbolt in the first movies
As long as you aim for the horn, everything will work out

I mainly agreed with your list. But personally I would want to see Ash’s team from Alola to comeback. Naganadel would be hard to see it coming back since it’s watching its family, Melmetal can throw off all of the masters 8 no matter what, Lycanroc cuz why not, and same to Incineroar, I don’t what to see God himself compete but sleep on the stands. Other than that team I would like to see Charizard, Snorlax, Sceptile, Infernape, Krookodile, and Greninja all of those for obvious reasons too.
Alola love is because if he is introduced as Alola Champion it would be great to see that some of the team.
Than the last out of no where Pokémon I want to see back is the Primeape, the story is Ash runs into Ash randomly and shows ash his Primeape. But this ain’t no Primeape it has evolved to an unknown Pokémon from Gen.9. This makes Ash think about traveling there after the PWC tournament ends.
I had to keep it to just Lycanroc and Incineroar in my list or else I could have named over half of Ash's Alola team haha. Got to spread the love

Kinglar isn't one of Ash's powerhouses.
Out of high old pokemon, Charizard, Sceptile, Greninja, Infarnape, are his powerhouses.
All his powerhouses are Charizard, Greninja, Lucario, Dragonite, Pikachu, Sceptile, Infarnape, Krookadile and maybe Swellow and Snorlax.
Ash will battle Lance, Alain and Leon. So you can kinda guess which Pokémon he will use
I think if ash bring that fat blue bear snorlax I think he will use zmove snorlium if he travels alola again and grys snorlium zmove stone for any reason I think or maybe gmax it it will be mmm dangerous
i say split the first two battles between current and former pokémon, and then have the leon battle be all journeys mons

I can see why you disagree about Charizard. I disagree with Lycanroc being M8 material, simply because his feats so far haven't been as impressive as many other of Ash's Pokemon.

My top 5 Pokemon ash should bring back
1. Greninja (releasing him was a big mistake and now that Alain is in the Master Class, that long awaited score HAS to be settled. No excuses)
2. Incineroar (seeing him take down his rival was epic as heck and the evolution was a nice reward. But they just did him dirty from there by never letting him battle again. Like come on, u let the top cat fully evolve and not let him show what he can do at his full potential?)
3. Infernape (best Pokemon Ash had in sinnoh hands down. His blaze is like nothing the world has seen and I think that ash's infernape could have a real chance of beating Cynthia's Garchomp with it
4. Lycanroc (the doggo won the league for ash, this one should b no surprise)
5. Charizard (probs the third strongest Charizard there is after Leon's and Alain's. Ash's Charizard would b a welcome addition to the Masters 8

Tbh it's true that sweallow and tallonflame are pretty good but I always thought that they are strong because of their speed. But when it come to pure sheer power, staraptor is way above them it's still fast enough and has some crazy moves.
So for me staraptor is ash's strongest bird.

Melmetal and naganadel, since they are a mythical and ultrabeast, it is possible the others have never seen those species. Giving them a big surprise, making ash the tobias of this tournament.
So all of Ash's Alola team except for Rowlet haha. I only included Lycanroc and Incineroar because I didn't want to have more than two Pokémon from his Alola team, but I was very tempted to include Melmetal

I say for one of matches especially against Cynthia the original 4 he used to defeat brandon.. also the issue I have when comparing ashs greninja and charizard is with that ash's greninja is that his regular is a lower level than charizards with ash finally having the mega bracelet mega evolving his charizard would make charizard stronger , than the form ash greninja move. Alain and Leon's charizards use the one who beat a articuno

these are all the pokemon I would consider bringing back for the Masters 8 if 6 on 6.
if its 3 v 3 vs alain i would use infernape, grennija and lycanroc if 3 on 3 as they are great counters to his team and offers a lot of fire power.
cynthia i would use lapras, charizard and sceptile
diantha is a bit of a mystery but lucario, charizard and grenninja (maybe krookadile)
iris-lapras, charizard and dragonite
Steven- infernape, lucario and grenninja
Lance- pikachu, charizard, hard to decide the 3rd pokemon greninja or lapras maybe.
Leon- greninja, charizard, not sure for the 3rd pokemon.
I hope its 6 on 6 though. I don't think these will be his teams but I think these are the teams he should bring, it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't bring back his old pokemon which would suck.

@@EliteTrainerMark I've been invested in pokemon for too long to be happy with only his current team even though I do like his team. I think for long term fans it would be a bit of a slap on the face but I'm happy they at least progressed the series that he's actually battling to be the best.

Honestly I want Incineroar to return the most because it got shafted after beating Kukui's Incineroar and end unable to continue just so it wouldn't do anything to the epic Pikachu v. Tapu Koko. Also people THINK Lycanroc is better than Incineroar but no, it beat the strongest pokemon in alola (with a trainer) then evolved RIGHT after which means it is tons stronger and (again) being shafted from Ash's Pikachu And some Naganadel v Tapu Koko. Finally CAN LYCANROC BEAT KUKUI"S INCINEROAR.

Don't get me wrong, I love Ash's Greninja. But we ain't seeing it again most likely. The whole premise of its return was it passing its baton off to Lucario. Now I'd love for it to return. But when it came back so recently, I would be shocked if it properly came back, unless a battle takes place in Kalos, since Greninja wouldn't have to leave the place he's defending.
