Wow I have one but the base model and always asked myself why didn’t they make an sti version of it, then came across this ! You’re a Very lucky guy to have one 👍
Love these cars, nearly bought one a few years ago, I’m in the UK so we’ve got a few imports over here, I think the brembo brakes were an option as a couple that I saw had them, I bought a FOZ STI in the end as I couldn’t find a clean Bug STI Wagon
Hello! I recently picked up a imported 96 Legacy GT-B (BG5). I'm having a hard time finding the AISIN part # for the timing belt kit. you wouldn't happen to know what part number it is being in japan would you?
@OkiSubies hell do you hate a gates kit #? brand don't matter to me to be absolutely honest. I just don't want to order the wrong set to America lol. It's absolutely no worries if you guys are unsure.
This car will become eligible to take back to the states soon! What a rare car to have back home!
Only 850 where made of this type car ....I am a proud owner of a white one❤

That is such a nice wagon! I like the shift indicator!
I always loved that option from the Impreza’s. My first Subaru was a Forester STI and I was disappointed to see that it didn’t have it lol

@@trustgtr33 nice! Would have been cool if they were numbered cars, those who know, know..
That is a beautiful car 🤩, and definitely rare at that too! I didn't even know they made an STI bug-eye wagon. How did you guys come across one?
We have access to the Japan Auctions in mainland and keep an eye out on all the Subaru’s😅
@OkiSubies I would want to install a VF-52 after market turbo in an sf5 forester. Whats your insight on the VF-52 turbo?
We didn’t get that turbo in Japan so not too sure but any of the bigger vf turbo’s are great on the EJ205’s for sure.
@@OkiSubies which radiator would you recommend after market?
@@NyunJah We have had great success with Koyo

EJ20R Engine code.
So sorry, not sure what the part number is. We use the 02-05 Gates kit and upgrade the tensioner bracket to fit the newer style tensioner and pulley.
