  • G`day Folks,
A simple and effective method here for you this episode, on how how to make pipe loads for a bogie bolster wagon, although the same logic could be applied to other wagons as well.
    Cheers

Hi Gormo, we also have the paper straws and spray putty filler over here in the independent UK from a few hours ago. That is a good tip as I can see the putty being used in quite a few ways. The loads do look very convincing and the white chalk customer name just clinches it.

I agree the putty may be useful for other projects. Not quite sure what just yet, but you never know.?

@@greatchesterfordjunction Well, dang all mate. Ya stole my favorite slogan! I've been telling my wife when she complains about "too much money or too much time" being spent on model RR stuff that it keeps me off the streets and out of the bars! And I just now found your website. That's just too funny. Uh you don't have any family in California USA do ya??? Cuz the best I know we don't have any relations down that a way. At least that we claim anyway!!! You may be the first. And you're a right classy guy, being a model RRer and all.
And thanks for the video. I have a box of straws sitting on my workbench waiting for me to finish diggin' out several more flatcars from the stash. You know what they say: Great minds think alike!

    Hi Gormo.
I did something similar but for my short coal / ballast wagon's as I don't have your type of wagon. I should get round to painting them though as your idea of writing on the pipes made them look great. 🚂🚃

      G`day DJ,
I don`t know where the idea for writing on the pipes came from..???...possibly just one of those flashes of inspiration that was just passing through the old grey matter and I happened to catch onto it.
However it does give purpose to the load and makes it unique to your own railway if you decide to do it.
      All the best

Yes most of the time we view our trains from around that distance, so if it looks OK at that distance, then it`s.......OK.????

@@greatchesterfordjunction Especially true with my eyes now. I've noticed that I don't see much difference between new super-detailed items and older or less expensive, less detailed items from a normal viewing distance. My railroad is getting cheaper as I go.
