This looks great! , as an extra option you could always try a pyrography tool to burn in lines where you have used the black paint - it gives a nice finish and can also be used for shading/adding extra details

Sorry for the delayed response, I forget to look back at these videos. As this fish was going to be mounted on a wall outside, I used common decking oil which has a UV inhibitor in it. You need to do it again every couple of years or so.

Nice idea. I’ve never tried pyrography, I should give it a try.
