What up boss, thanks for stopping by the channel! I've heard it pronounced Sous in a video that seemed kinda official but it will always be the oops to me. Lol
So, I checked the auto generated captions for this video and updated the spelling. YT didn’t recognize the word, and thought I was saying “Lopez 600”. Ha!
If you had two solar panels & one with a USB-C along with the regular solar panel charging. You can get more than the 100 watts with solar panels. I saw someone get 160 watts charging doing it that way.
I found my Oupes to charge at 86watts max with my solar panels. I think the unit will take 100watts at 24 volts. My solar panels are rated at 18 volts. I found the same results running one 120 watt panel and two 60 watt panels ran in parallel. I also over paneled it with the 120watt and one 60 watt in parallel and max was still 86 watts. I did hook up one of the panels to the PD port and was able to get the charge up to 120 watts. Not sure what the watt rating is on the USB-C outputs on my panels are though. Thanks for the video.
So, 86w sounds normal for something rated at 100w of solar input. Factor oh the inefficiencies and it’s about right. I would like to test again when spring comes around to see the max input.
I’ve been interested in this for a long time, but it’s priced only $50 less than the EB 55. Seems the Bluetti might be faster charging with no downside. I think the Oupes 1100 model stands by itself in that range.
@@AdventureGearTV The Oupes often has a $200.00 off coupon. It is right now $549.99 there is currently a $200.00 off coupon, putting it at $349.99. That is a great price for that size unit.
shouldnt be surprising to anyone that pays attention... Jackery is about 10 years behind in the tech and features yet they routinely charge 30-100% more. There isnt a single reason to buy jackery over the likes of ecoflow or bluetti.
Hi are you able to connect a three prong plug in like a computer plug in this device? I only saw the two prong plug being plugged in. Thanks. Great and informative video.
It does have pass through charging. I tested it, and have had it running a fridge for a few days on pass through now. The fan cycles on when it’s pulling a load, but it’s not too bad.
Oh I know he did! On purpose I imagine! He did say it was dirt cheap, twice. But I don't see how he thinks $400 is dirt cheap!! I've bought a car for that much!!!
That was an excellent no frills demonstration of a unit I am seriously considering purchasing.
Thank you and well done.
This would be good as a back up for your primary power generator.
Thanks for sharing this. Never heard of it before.
Thanks you!

I looked this one up and it is a better deal than a Jackery.
It does have a the better battery chemistry. A good deal for the price.
This would be perfect for my TV satellite. Bet I can run a fan with and survive a hot summer day and never miss a program.
Works great with a solar panel to keep it topped off.
"mom!"
"SHHH!"
LOL thanks for keeping that in, i needed that
Literally nobody has noticed it. 😆 we’re loving life.

What type of small heater do you have, thanks for all that you do
Informative as always
Thank you!
Very well thought out testing and happy to see that the solar input works ok in the winter.
I was surprised I could get 50w with the sun conditions.

The price seems to have gone up since I made this video. It was $349, now $449. Bluetti seems decent too, although I have not personally used one.

Just looked one up on Ebay. $450-500, Cheap? That's half my SS check. Can it synthesize food?
Wow! They have gone up quite a bit lately. It was $350 when I made the video.
thanks
Thank you!

You can plug in a three prong computer charger. The power station is not technically grounded, but has a hole for the third prong. No issues.
@@AdventureGearTV Thanks!
I was looking at this one but I don't think this model has passed through charging.
It does have pass through charging. I tested it, and have had it running a fridge for a few days on pass through now. The fan cycles on when it’s pulling a load, but it’s not too bad.
@@AdventureGearTV oh that's good to know I'll have to give it a second look👍 thanks for the information!!
For a weekend camping trip which would you recommend more the rock pals 500 or this one?
This one is a better deal. The Rockpals doesn’t have pass through charging Keith the AC outlets making it not useful for many situations.
$350 is not dirt cheap
So, this has a 600w inverter, but only 522wh of useful power correct?
That’s correct, I got about 522wh from it. Which is consistent with about a 600wh power station and 80% usable power.
You forgot to mention price
Oh I know he did! On purpose I imagine! He did say it was dirt cheap, twice. But I don't see how he thinks $400 is dirt cheap!! I've bought a car for that much!!!
It was $350 when I made the video. I think it was $350 again this week. The prices change frequently.
Is the inverter a pure sine wave inverter?
Yes it is
looks like it is made in Japan. what did you pay and was there extra shipping charges etc?
Hi, I'll have to check, but I'm pretty sure it is manufactured in China. The price seems to have gone up since October.
Where did you get your s price ok
👍
Right on!
Making coffee would be great from these batteries.
I might be able to make it with the Oupes 1100 coming soon.
might not happen, check the specs... ;)
My 5 cup coffee maker draws 600W and works with the oupes 600
china know how to copy
Nice review but 7 1/2 hours for a full charge. No thanks.
It’s a standard input for most of these devices.
Far too many distracting video game sounds and other video effects. Couldn't even make it past 2 minutes.
