You have successfully brought a small piece of my father to me today. I thank you kind sirs. My father wore Florsheim shoes for the bulk of his career. As I got older, I would buy him a pair of shoes for Christmas every two or three years. I remember him getting them resoled. I didnt get to see how that was done until I stumbled onto your channel. You sharing this particular pair of shoes has truly brought me to tears. Thank you for stirring up the memories. I miss him so very much. One small piece of him has visited today.
Thank you so much for sharing that special memory. We’re glad you enjoyed it.
I also share your thoughts and Love for this video Sir, my Grandfather wore Florsheim Imperial, and as I sit here smoking my cigar, thoughts of my Grandfather run throughout my thoughts and am moved to tears.
Remarkable!
The cork replacement was oddly satisfying to watch!
It always is.
I wonder if l could put that lovely cork stuff on my worn out Crocks!
@@markoman5267 lol i was going to say the same thing
Voices, or no voices, Heath’s mastery speaks loudly! Great job, sir!
Thank you very much!
Glad to know Bedo isn’t the only one that can make a Florsheim sole look so good
Let's continue...
Who's that?
I am NOT into shoes. But the relaxing nuances of your videos brings on sleepy time for me quick. My shoes are usually work boots and tennis shoes. It works for my life style. I do appreciate your clever, artistic and hard work to bring back the old to reuse and look better than new.
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not a cobbler but I narrated this in my head as I watched it because I have learned so much from watching your other videos. Thanks for the education!
The camera angles and set-ups here really show the level of attention to detail. Superb work, guys!
Thank you for showing this pair of shoes. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and my dad wore this same shoe for 48 years when he worked. I can still remember as a little guy wearing his shoes around the house and always said I’m going to own at least one pair of the Imperials. I wish I had kept his shoes when he passed 25 years ago. But, at least I have my own pair now.
I have always loved the sounds of these videos. T&H really listen to their audience.
GREAT resole. As a collector of vintage dress shoes I can attest to the need to resole even though a pair may appear to not need them. Learned the hard way, old leather can get slick after wearing just a little and you risk landing on your back end, in public usually.
There is no need to perform a surgery on a healthy patient. There is no need to fully resole a functioning shoe. All leather soles are slippery, especially on stones, especially if it is wet outside. If you think your shoes are slippery in particular, there is an option of rubber or leather protective soles. They are extremely cost-effective and enormously prolong the life of a shoe as they are only (replaceable) cosmetics and their placement does not intervene with the shoe construction. If it is too late for the protective soles, you still have an option of a half- or 3/4-sole replacement. A full replacement should be considered as last resort. I also love vintage shoes (the older, the better). From my around 60 pairs, only one pair will soon go through a 3/4-sole replacement. All other pairs are perfectly Ok with protective soles made by a cobbler of my trust. 👌
I have had a few pairs of “Executive Imperials” that are made exactly the same way. Even have the same icon for a logo.
He serves up the oatmeal at the 5:00 mark.
Looks more like crunchy peanut butter IMO.
@@hotwax9376 I think the guys actually refer to it as “oatmeal”.
the silent video drove me crazy, however it made me pay attention to your level of skill and caring for your trade, a true work of art. my hats off to you!
silence tends to drive crazy those
who have short attention spans
You act like you know what your doing when spreading the cork!!!! Lol! Hats off to yal brothers for being true artisans of your craft!! Makes me appreciate my footwear soooo much more!
Quel plaisir ces vidéos, et quel bonheur de découvrir votre version de l’ASMR simplement sans commentaires. Le bruit de l’artisanat et du savoir-faire !
Bill Clinton couldn't have said it better
WOW I’m gonna need this exact resole job done to my 93602’s once they’ve worn out. Such amazing work!
Can't decide if I like the the sole trimming wheel or the cork better.
Who knew that watching shoes get repaired/upgraded could be so relaxing
G'day Trent and greetings from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 you did a terrific job on those, when you had finished them they looked like a brand new pair, great job and terrific to watch you displaying you craft. Thanks for showing that kind regards John
Just the sounds of craftsmanship. Excellent.
This clip makes me both happy and sad at the same time. It's truly a shame that Florsheim isn't 10% of what it used to be. Looking at you take the shoe apart you can notice the ridiculously high quality of the construction. Florsheim made some of the nicest looking budapesters/brogues. Anyways, it's great to see a pair of Imperials get new life with a resole!
Whatever amount you guys make doing this, it isn't enough. Your skills are unbelievable. There's so many steps and with many steps, if you make just one little mistake you can screw it all up and have to start over. You really need some serious skills not to make one mistake. Some of the steps seem so tedious and painstaking too. Just incredible
Is it weird that re-adding the cork is the most satisfying part for me?
Good one fellas, lots of awesome sights and sounds, including my favorite, that green machine that trims off the excess -- that's things a beast-- love it .. gorgeous pair of shoes too -- brilliant vid, really enjoyed..thank you guys.
What a lovely elegant result. Your work is done with such patience and precision.
I believe that is the best one that I've seen, yet.
Straight up Artist. Period!
Love the thumbnail. ASRM shoe repair
Ha Ha. I guess it would be nice if I could learn to type.
An astonishing piece of work👍👍👍
Absolute stunning work of art! Beautiful!
So soothing to watch, listen and learn ❣️
I remember the day I saw one of your videos. I don’t know why I watched. But I’m glad I did. I’ve learned a little bit and enjoy watching you take something worn and old and revive it back to its former glory. Keep up the good work fellas! 👍🏻
Yes been waiting on a Florsheim Imperial!
You always put just the right amount of cork on.
Sick !!! You guys are artists 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥one of our favorite pages
You make it look so easy.
Have you done a video of your equipment, what each does and their history? Your tools look very interesting and very old.
Stunning job!!!!!
It's a pleasure to watch a master craftsman demonstrate his craft.
Definitely enjoyed.
Beautiful Restoration!
Excellent workmanship. Thank you.
Work of Art Heath!!!! Great Job!!!
Ok man just when I get impressed, you do it again. Nice
I really enjoyed this type of video. Nice change of pace. Helps vary redundant shoes (not that I'm complaining, I enjoy all).
Beautiful work done to the shoes. Love the tack design. Have a good weekend everyone.
Thank you so much!
Stunning. Absolutely stunning.
Those remind me of shoes my dad wore. Great job! Fantastic shine!
Craftsmanship in art. Tremendous painstaking craftsmanship.
Man that cork stuffing is always the most satisfying part of the Vid !!! 😝
Master craftsmanship
Wonderfully done!
I pause these videos when I go to put the kettle on so I don't miss a second.
Great video guys!!!
Beautiful pair of shoes!!
Brilliant work lads.

Respect the effort and the craft! They look great
Nice job with these shell cordovan gunboats bro! By far the best video so far this year man
This video is the best! Not so much for the ASMR, but because we got to see more detail of how you work with the sheeewwws. Great stuff!
Excellent job. Thanks 😊
Great work, as usual.
Been waiting to see (listen to?) an ASMR for a while now, although I do enjoy the narrated repairs/restorations as well. Thanks!
And great to see Heath. Mahalo! 🤙👞
they look really good, great video, amazing work
I have rarely felt so zen in my life.
Man, the old Florsheims were real workhorses! Great job Heath!
Thanks! Yep, they definitely were.
Shame what corporate America has reduced them too
@@jeffreygoss8109 It’s depressing. I just stripped, dyed and refinished a pair of the Indian made Florsheims. They look great now but I’m afraid they’ll just fall apart if I wear them.
Very nice work!
Love it guys thank you I needed this
I would love to just sit in your shop and watch the work being completed. A true craftsman.
Thank you
Love these videos
Stunning
Up there with the best. Outstanding work
Thank you so much!
I'm happy to see even Florsheim can make a quality shoe these days. Even highly exclusive a discerning stores, like Shoe Rack and Payless carry them now!
These were made in the 1970's. Florsheim most certainly does not make shoes like this anymore. These shoes are from a time gone by. They are a great example of the tail end of the Golden era in high quality production in the USA.
Look to Allen Edmonds or Alden for similar build quality now. Even Allen Edmonds has started production overseas and quality has suffered. It is quite sad to see.
Great work bringing these back guys. They look great!
So true, these are vintage sho

Beautiful!! I like these kind of videos. So soothing. To me at least.
Thank you
You are doing exceptional work. Keep it this way!!!!!! 👍👍
Thank you!
At home during a tornado watch, i get the family to the basement were it is safest. Get the kettle on, have a cup of tea and watch some quality craftsmanship at work Trenton & Heath. 😊
Oh what bliss 🤗🥰
1. True American robust dress classic footwear.
2. True American Southern Craftsmanship…..=====………

-Thanks Heath & Trenton-
Appreciated🤝
Thank you so much!
Great job.
Amazing job ‼️😎👍
I love listening to you guys describe your work because I learn so much, but I love these ASMR vids as well. Lol and guess what? Nowadays I really do look at men's shoes and, ahem, evaluate. :))
Keep up the good work both of you!
Thank you!
FANTASTIC MY FRIEND! 😎😎
I know you probly get this a lot, but these Saturday morning videos make my day. Thanks so much Heath and great job with the shoes! 👍🏻
This was a nice video. The asmr aspect did indeed make it relaxing to watch.
A thought can to mind. What do you guys do with the old leather? Some pieces tear off cleanly - and it occurred to me that there must be *something* that can be done with the material rather than just throwing away?
Maybe you can cover them in epoxy and make a foot rest...get it? lol
My gosh! Double hot cork? Love to see those and your delicate works!
Fine work, Heath.
Beautiful!
Beautiful Work, Great Video keep up the Amazing Job.
Thank you
Beautiful! My husband always had his finer shoes resoled. He was very hard on shoes.
Man, you did those Florsheims proud! Absolutely superb work.
Thank you very much!
I missed your talk. Usually I listen past your descriptions for the sounds of your trade.
Quality original stiching.
You made them look beautiful. Thank you for sharing your skill. Stay safe, see you next time.
Magnificent resole Trenton & Heath!! No offense to Florsheim but the resole seems to be much better than the original. Great work as always.
Do you guys ever listen to music in the shop? The ambient sounds of the bakery drive me crazy so I always have music, podcasts, or talk radio blaring in the background unless I have an assistant or another baker with me.
EXCELET JOB
THANK
Love a pair of Florshiems- top work fellas
Thank you!
Awesome job, cant wait to see a pair of western boots done.
Thanks! We’ve done a few videos on cowboy boots. If you get a chance, check them out. We’ll do more in the future.
I find myself cheering you on while I watch this video.
Great work!
Thank you!
How Zen. I loved it! Namaste: 😘
