I really enjoyed your video ladies ❤. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy lives to share some laughter and beautiful stitching with us. May the Lord bless you & yours ❤
Thanks for making a decision for me. I will be 80 next April and I have asked my son to take me to a cross stitch shop. (This is in lieu of a big "80th birthday party). No LNS in Georgia, so I must look further afield. The Silver Needle it is. I am partially disabled, so while I like to order online, you know how important it is to run your hands over floss and fiber and see the colors, pick them out, and just breathe in the atmosphere. I've subscribed and will watch some of the older videos.
You always have such great videos - I especially love seeing all your project bags. I'm on the save wavelength with you on that! I also got my Punky Purls trapper this week - love it! I've done alot of the Teresa Layman knot kits - they are so much fun but they do take awhile to complete. I took a class from her years ago and am a member of her Knotty Girls Society. Once you learn the 2 simple knots you can just do knots forever. You'll never be afraid of a french knot again (which I was). She used to have a dvd out which helped but that was before flosstube. There are probably videos online now. Love your flosstubes!
Great to see both of you Ladies. I wear headphones and don't mind the crinkling, zippers or Velcro. Love your projects and beautiful finishes. I think Jen has two hobbies - Stitching and Pattern collecting.
It’s so fun to have you back. So much inspiration and I loved watching the video. And it was great to meet Jenn at stitching Saturday and I am sure we will meet someday Sara.
I so enjoy your videos! Sarah, my hubby and I hiked the Grand Canyon in 1994. We went 14 miles down the north rim, spent 2 nights at the Phantom Ranch and back up the south rim. Of course we were 30 years younger then! Jen, my daughter lives in Tulsa and I have to go to the Silver Needle every time I’m there. Agreed, it is a wonder LNS.
I wanted to share a tip that I use to get actual stitching done. AIS= ass in seat! I realized that I was thinking about/talking about/ collecting/buying, stitching more than I was actually STITCHING and I wanted to change that. So, put your A in the S and stitch away! I also don’t buy anything new until I have a few FO’s and FFO’s. This has helped me a lot and I feel more accomplished and better about buying a few new things.
Oh boy a little TMI at the beginning but loved seeing all your WIPS. I’m so envious that you girls can stitch so beautifully on any-count linen. ❤ I always get great inspiration from you both. I’m making a list and checking it twice of charts I want to do too. Thanks for sharing your time and talents. ❤❤
You are right, Sarah. I also give big props to the bag makers. I also bought the PDF tutorial from Tiger Lily, and it took me a while to sew it up. It might have made it in 4 sewing sessions because I'm new at sewing, and it took my time also because of all the measuring and cutting. Plus, it took me longer because I'm pregnant, and my back would hurt. The end result came out ok, I just need to work on my binding.
Good for you for sticking with it! I definitely want to finish my project keeper, especially after all the measuring and cutting I did. I’m just feeling intimidated by the sewing. 😬
I haven’t made it to the Post Office yet to pick up my mail so when you started to show the keeper club I immediately flipped my phone over so I couldn’t see, lol!! It’s ok if I hear, as you did not describe anything, so now I’m counting the hours until the post office opens up and I can get my mail!!
I loved the video ! So fun! Vacation-bucket list ✅✅✅ so enabled 🤪🤪 by the way y’all look beautiful too! The keeper colors soooo pretty! Sarah the Christmas pattern is almost done you got this! 😊 thank you friends I love you both 🌻🌻🌻🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
I very much enjoyed your video and seeing all the projects that you've been working on and seeing all of your very fun haul. Thank you for another great stitching update. Daisy is so cute!
Enjoyed watching! I missed the Silver Needle when I was driving through Tulsa and was so sad. It wasn't opened and we were driving to New England. Maybe next time. Will you please provide information on Mona? You mentioned taking classes with her. Thank you
Thanks Ladies! So much fun watching you two friends. I am in awe of the multitude of inspiration you two share with us out in the world. I loved the WIP parade...
Thank you for sharing with us! You both are so uplifting and positive! I love watching your progress on the projects you share with us. Quick question for Jenn....how do you use sewing method with a hoop/frame (if you are still using a hoop or frame when you use sewing method)? I love the color changes you made.....
Jenn is actually using the sewing method while stitching in hand. I have, however, seen stitchers do it while stitching in a hoop. They just keep the fabric really loose in the hoop.
What a marvelous floss tube! You two have been so busy and shared so many fun charts ◡̈ . Makes me want to forsake cleaning and cooking and just spend my day stitching in my craft room!
Jenn it was so nice to meet you at Silver Needle. I'm so glad that you both loved your kitty stuff. Nicolai, Louis and Malcolm are doing great. I loved seeing all of your stitching and goodies. Take care and enjoy the rest of the summer! Janine
Loved this video...lots of inspiration, great stitching progress and finishes and a travelog to boot! How can you beat it? Last year I did two monochromatic Christmas pieces in Sulky Blendables (mossy green and barn red). Two more in the "to do" pile one in blues and another in a mix of autumn colors. See you in August.
@@stitchyfriends pattern arrived today in the post. Thank you so much for the pattern as well as the stitchyfriends flossdrops and card. Brightened my day, thank you Sarah and Jenn ❤
Was wondering about wall hanging think I saw on your floss video starts out The Way to Happiness, very nice pattern and wanted to see if I could find the patter. Appreciate your help if you can. 0:48
@@stitchyfriends it was the wall hanging starts out way to happiness, etc was wondering about whose pattern that might be, you displayed it in that video.
Hi guys, always ❤ watching your channel. I would really like to know what count the Whale 🐳 was stitched on, it is sooooo cute and I’m going to stitch it. It was stitched beautifully by the way. Wish me luck finding that same fabric, I think I will need it. Ok, would really appreciate the count of fabric, and will say goodbye and thank you sooooo much. patsy
Wow! Love all the patterns you both have. Some of the large patterns could be used to take motifs out of and incorporate into other pieces. You could make small pillows or scissor fobs etc. You may never stitch the entire pattern but just having some motif ideas is great to have. Loved your video….see you on the next on…. love watching the two of you just as much as Brenda and the serial starter; SABLE Stitchers.
Wow, thank you!
So lucky to have a friend that is interested in the same crafts as you… tho… I can also see how that impacts in the enabling department 😂😂😂
Thanks so much for showing one of my project bags-- the "Dwell in Possibility" one with pretty moths! Such pretty fabrics!!

Sulky blendables sound like great choices for a monochromatic pieces!
Love all of the haul and vacation stitching is the best! Quick question...what is the fabric line from fat quarter shop of the custom bag? So cute!
It's called Timberline by Jessica Swift.
So cool you got to visit the animal rescue. Great to spend time seeing all your projects and purchases.
Great video Ladies. 😊 Do you know that The Drawn Thread will release the Stitcher's Garden?
If I had to guess, I would assume they will release it at some point. - Sarah
I just don’t have even an average of an hour a day to stitch. Same as Sarah I like too, many designers to use all of my time for one project.

Hi Patsy! The whale was stitched on 40 count Rustic Drab by XJudesign. Happy stitching!
Our teachers in South Carolina started back this past Monday.
Wow, that’s early!
Niecie Lynn did Pink Sparrow Sampler using Wicked Stepmother threads. The colors were more vibrant.
Oooh, we’ll have to check that out!

Hi Debbie! 👋
I am starting Wonder (Monster) Whale by Owl Forest Embroidery as one of my 6 for 60th birthday starts in August. I even had already planned the start on a Friday! Happy to hear about the SAL! I will let others know on our next August 1823 Stitchers flosstube in August.
That’s awesome! Can’t wait to see your stitchy progress. Thanks for spreading the word about the SAL!
I love to hear the “krinkly” sound. Where do you get the owl forest pattern?
The Owl Forest pattern is a freebie on the Owl Forest Embroidery website.
Do you all stitch in hand or with a hoop or Q-snaps?
We stitch in hand using the sewing method.
Promo`SM 😉
Am I the only one who thought the mic sounded like it was picking up thunder or wind. Much more bothersome than crinkle.
There was no thunder or wind, but we did have a fan going. Maybe that was what you were hearing. Thanks for letting us know!
