Kudos Jenn - I'm also a relatively new sewer and it can be daunting but thank goodness for Flosstube where you can get any tutorial imagined. Added note re: Stitchfolk T shirts, hoodies, etc. The quality is FABULOUS - very soft and subtanstial.
Congratulations on the $250 gift certificate! Great things happen to great people, yay! Love all the projects and most inspiring! Thank you for sharing. Happy stitching ✨DAISY SIGHTING, oh love her! 💖
Great episode! I store my DMC floss in Floss-away bags in numerical order in Floss-away boxes. I was gifted a whole set of every colour of DMC on bobbins in the plastic containers (4 of them) but I like yours better 😊. The other flosses, like Gentle Arts, are stored in small containers I bought at a dollar store but not in any order. My Aida is in a Rubbermaid box and stored under my chair in my prayer/craft room. Some of my lugana and jobelan are stored in my storage drawer. My patterns are in binders and storage drawers and I started to sort them by designer and lost interest in doing it that way (too many designers) so I took almost all of the snowman ones and put them in a binder. Christmas, autumn, sunflowers will all be going in binders, too! Thank you for the inspiration, ladies! Love you both!
Thanks for sharing your stitching and Daisy. I have been meaning to mention to Sarah that my son adopted a Chiweenie dog from the Rescue Shelter. My son lives in the mountains, so he carries Gus in a pack so they can hike together. Enjoy your retreat!
I was wondering how long each of you generally stitch each day. You two are a bit like brenda and the serial starter. Sarah with lots of stitching and finishing. Jen well lots of starts. 😂 With the tea towel jen got, the salt water stitcher had some turned into project bags. Great idea.🇦🇺🌈🦋
Halloween is my favorite, so I loved seeing these. And Sarah, I'm with you. I don't care how much time I've put into a WIP. If I hate the fabric, I'll either restart or dump it entirely. Life is tooooo short for hating my WIP.
My floss is all on floss drops. I use xstitch app and have all my floss in the inventory section for thread. It’s PERFECT for me. Whenever I need a floss color…I can see in a moment if I have it. If I want I can add a note for the floss when I pull it for a project. Then I can see what project it is with if I need it for something else in an instant. I also am not a monogamous stitcher. I stitch seasonally and I do pull my floss and return it to stash at the end of each season. For my budget I’d rather spend on new patterns and fabric than lots of duplicate floss. But we all have different budgets. The xstitch app makes this a breeze for me. It was totally worth the two weekends it took me to input the floss. I never regretted it. I can also pull up my inventory at the store and makes it so easy to buy what I don’t have and not buy what I do have already. That’s my system. 😊
I enjoyed your video. Jenn's Halloween needlepoint designs are cute. Sarah, I like your Halloween designs, too. Of course, I always love seeing new haul, WIPs, and FFOs. Thanks for sharing Daisy with us dog lovers. Have a safe time at the retreat. Congratulations on your winning of the salon drawing.
Thanks so much you two and Daisy. I loved the Halloween Parade, it was wonderful. You should be trend setters and starts a kit parade. Have a wonderful time at your retreat. Janine
Thanks for all the Halloween inspiration! I'm also gearing up with lots of holiday stitching, including Salem Sisters Apothecary! How awesome of you to get the backing board for Sarah, Jenn! Now THAT'S being a true Stitchy Friend! ☺Have a wonderful time at the retreat, you two!
Thanks for the friendstitch info. I want subscribed to either newsletter, although I follow both on IG. I love to join a Halloween one if it's virtual. I'll work on Halloween at hawk run hollow with you guys. I want that jenny bean one too.
Jenn thank you for letting me know what the phone was called from your previous video when you made the fabric folders. I got it from Amazon and it works perfect. You guys are so adorable. I was just in your neck of the woods and went to Keepsakes from Florida. Have fun at the retreat. ❤
I enjoy seeing all stages of a project, so even if just kitted up, it's good to see floss and cloth and share any changes. That frame for Nevermore is fabulous! I have long admire Halloween at Hawk Run. I think I would need to stitch the vignettes separately, if it were to get done at all, and display together. What count cloth are you using? Autumn Provides is another on my stitch list. Hope you are having a great time at retreat.
I enjoy your floss tube so much. Thanks. I didn’t see the links for the comic boards, clips, and container you store your cross stitch fabric in. Thanks.
Hey ladies! I loved seeing all the Halloween. Sarah didn’t you do something last year around this time of year where you started 13 Halloween projects or something? I was remembering something fun like that is maybe why you had so many stitches from last year. I loved seeing it all! Have fun at the retreat!!
@@stitchyfriends ok I had to go back and make sure I wasn’t crazy. It was #13stitchesofhalloween and you did a separate video on your own about it. October 8 last year. 🎃
Sarah, in case you didn't notice it, the shorter lines curved border line on Hello Halloween border are not made up of equal sets. They look equal but they are not. The 2 line sections under the border cats are 25 or 26 stitches and the side bars are 10 or 11 stitches. Also the slanted lines are 6 or 7 stitches long. I started the stitch by doing that line first and didn't discover these variations until I was stitching the last side of the border. I also recharted the border cats to make them look a bit less like munckin cats while still keeping them in Teresa Kogut's style.
Loved seeing all the Halloween things. I stitched a bunch last year but haven't ffo them yet but soon. Sarah - a non stitching question for you. A while back you mentioned a favorite mystery podcast or show you listened to. Please tell me again which one it is. Thank you.
My favorite true crime podcast is Crime Junkie. I also love Counter Clock, Park Predators, and True Crime Obsessed (beware of language though). I know I specifically mentioned a short form podcast called Why Can't We Talk About Amanda's Mom?
Thank you. I listen to crime junkie too but couldn't remember the other ones. Happy listening and stitching. You are somebody I would be good friends with if I lived near you. ❤️
Hi Jenn I remember seeing that witch pattern somewhere and yes it’s been a long time ago but I was hoping you might find it and which magazine it was in just maybe I’m hoping thank you
I’ve been trying to find the Mrs Az Family zoo on Etsy but can’t seem to find it. Can you tell me if I have the correct shop name. It was the 4 squares.
You should sign and date your pieces or at least write it on the back of the finish. Fancy floss didn’t exist back then I can remember when weeks die works started. Love your finishes!
It sounds like you made a great memory together with your projects. That’s the best way to do it. Memories are the best.
We had a lot of fun!
Kudos Jenn - I'm also a relatively new sewer and it can be daunting but thank goodness for Flosstube where you can get any tutorial imagined. Added note re: Stitchfolk T shirts, hoodies, etc. The quality is FABULOUS - very soft and subtanstial.

Great question, Maureen! We'll answer in our next video.
Omg! I hear ya! I am always organizing!

The links are at the bottom of the description box.
🤦♀️ I’m sorry I missed it. Thanks!
The witch on the pumpkin is from 1996 cross stitch and needlework mag. Page 9. October
Wow, thank you!
Thank you…I am going to try a Tiger Lily pattern now.
Yay! Let us know how it goes!
Daisy is adorable! Have fun at your retreat. Your retreat piece is beautiful Sarah.
Thank you Colleen!
Jenn - It’s definitely from cross eyed cricket. I made mine in the 80’s. I made it into a Halloween bag for my daughter.
Thanks for the info!
I have just found you and sub’d… you two are great together, such fun!
Thank you!

Not sure what magazine it was in, but it is a Cross-Eyed Cricket pattern.
Fun episode! Can you tell me what fabric you’re stitching Let Love Reign on? It looks so pretty.
It's 46 count Prehistoric by Fox & Rabbit.
@@stitchyfriends thank you. It’s so pretty on that fabric. I have a whole tote full of fabrics, but none looked right.
I’ve been trying to find the Mrs Az Family zoo on Etsy but can’t seem to find it. Can you tell me if I have the correct shop name. It was the 4 squares.
Here's the link to her shop! www.etsy.com/shop/azfamilyzoo?ref=shop-header-name&listing_id=1307920840
I don't even hear it. And did not notice it before. I don't seat the small stuff.
Will you please add the sterilite (spelling) container?
