Thanks for the support! We have definitely slacked on making more content, but we've had a lot of people wanting more so we will get off our butts and get it done!

Bro your band making vids are legendary. I follow almost to a tee; I just have these plastic inserts I like that came with my gun. Hey do you have any opinion on the 14mm small id bands, I feel like they are now being listed as 14.5mm on spearamerica and mako, but I think they are the same 14mm bands because they are labeled as 9/16”. I love 14mm bands and I was wondering if you know if these new “14.5mm” are equivalents? Or are they actually 14.5 and the old ones were 14? I hope I asked that clearly. I know there is some variance but since you do so many bands I thought you may know.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm not quite sure what those companies are selling as 14.5mm, but if it doesn't state that its small ID, it probably isnt. Most shops/brands in the US sell 9/16 and 14mm as the same thing, but technically 9/16 is 14.5, and true 14mm bands are slightly thinner than 9/16. Youll generally see true 14mm on any guns that are european brands, but most US brands wil be running 9/16 and calling it 14mm. The difference is honestly pretty negligible though. I personally tend to stay away from small ID, on paper it might have an advantage, but I find in practice it doesn't, and I prefer the ease of buiding standard ID over whatever small advantage youd get with the small stuff. Totally my personal opinion though so don't take that as gospel :)

@@XhaleSpearfishing thanks. I finally ended up “solving” this because the guys at Spearit finally restocked the “14mm” bands I was looking for. Although I still am unsure if they are actually 14.5mm I guess I could measure them. I’m probably just being too particular.

Thank you for the great video post!! What size line are you using for each application?
Also, do you still plan on continuing this series on band construction as stated?

We definitely are! Next video will be all about wishbones and we will have details on line sizes for wishbones in that. If I remember correctly the line I was using in this video was a 1.9mm jacketed dyneema.
