The really crap thing is season 2 was either completed or in post production when AMC+ cancelled it. There is a possibility of it being sold to another distributor.
I think this seasons ending was just amazing and this song really made you feel it. Pope IMMEDIATELY stood up when Caspian said Kim was the one to hold the responsibility. No hesitation, pure faith and trust. Pope isn’t the bad guy (watch ep7 when pope talks to Caspian at the religious place). He is scared and knows they unleashed Pandora’s box and Caspian is the only hope. He always believed in his friend, even through all of this he hasn’t wavered. Pope knows there is no going back and is putting all his faith in his friends long term plan: Caspian. Pope: “I work for you boss”. This show is amazing because the people you hate end up actually being the ones trying help. It’s ambiguous on who to root for or hate; the complexity of the characters and plot makes this feel like a genuine human situation, not a standard anime with the bad guy in plot armor. The show is 10/10 and whoever placed this song in the ending of the season should remain in their spot for season 2.
In this show, emotional connections are intricately linked with humanity, at least that part of it that makes a difference between an empathy-oriented human and a function-oriented program. While Maddie ends this season being comforted by her mother, Caspian ends it essentially being emotionally cut off from everyone else and completely submerging himself into work.
The good side was Maddie has evolved as a person, opened herself to her mom and others, and even having a real friend in Justine. The bad side was Caspian couldn't broken his human's relationships, because he didn't even had It. Everything he thought was real, wasn't real: His home, his mom, his dad, his girlfriend. Nobody cared about him, except Cary, but he always were the abusive father's rol and i don't know how It's going to be their relationship in the future.

The question is not if UI should be a thing but their reality that it is inevitable so I am glad that there is a "resolution" to the terror that is evolving.

@@mess5142 Because the flaw still exists. Presumably you have to be outside and irl in order to fix it. Holstrom ran out of time to fix it and then upload himself. The flaw would have corrupted him anyway long before Caspian accepted his role and fixed it.
being smart and being wise are not the same thing. just because your intelligent doesn't stop you from making mistakes in judgment when Caspian compared to a lot of the adult characters in this show is still on the younger side himself. he doesn't have anywhere near the decades of experience they do. lastly characters making mistakes is a good thing, it makes them flawed. him being perfect and outplaying every character would be boring. he already feels like a edgy 14 year old made up self insert wattpad OC character, I had to roll my eyes as more then a few moments

I HATE anime after a decade of watching it. That said this is definitely something greater than anime. Its Anime in art style only. Much like Avatar the last airbender. Its writing is infinitely more textured and nuanced than carbon copy produced anime. So I definitely love this series and cant wait for a second season. Things like the music such as a track like this are part of the reason why. Just wish I could find the complete song somewhere.
