Earning your stripes! Don't give up. All the struggle will pay off. Keeps us hungry and humble. Paddle technique. Thought about joining the Coach Casey club?
@@foilthegreats So I went out today on Lac Léman (Switzerland) and had a similar experience. Wind 15 knots running side shore and with a long fetch the waves were waist high, steep and organized (and still slow...it's a lake). But I have to say, I got my butt handed to me. A real rodeo session. Spent most of 1.5 hours just trying to stand on the board and paddle up and falling...felt like a hundred falls. Swearing up a storm. Silver lining -- I managed to get on foil a few times....but was thrown off almost immediately and in spectacular fashion (like flying through the air). Still surprised by the feeling of speed coming down the face of those "small" 3 foot waves, it felt like dropping into a quarter pipe. But despite all the falls, fails and frustration it was still a lot of fun. Learned a lot. Definitely humbling and keeping me hungry.
That looks so hard.
You‘ve got great balance, but I think you need a bit more volume to make the magic happen…
No doubt would make my life easier

Yes, always good to learn something new. Probably a good idea as I have no SUP skills.
