  • Never ever eat raw chicken! This is why.
    Timestamps:
0:00 Why you should never consume raw chicken
0:10 Campylobacter bacteria infection (food poisoning) from raw chicken
1:13 How to avoid food poisoning from chicken
In this video, I want to talk about why you should never consume raw chicken. Many people consume raw fish (sushi) or raw beef, but not chicken. Why is that?
Chicken and turkey contain certain bacteria that could give you food poisoning. This bacteria is called campylobacter bacteria.
75% of all grocery store chick tested positive for this bacteria. This is a bacteria that commonly known to live in the gut of chickens, turkeys, and other birds.
If you consume enough of this bacteria, you can potentially experience:
    • Severe diarrhea
    • Flu symptoms
    • Fever
    • Abdominal pain
    • Cramping
    • Guillain Barre syndrome
Antibiotics usually do not work-you can only manage the symptoms and let your immune system fight the infections.
You don’t need to wash the chicken. If you do wash the chicken, make sure you clean your hands thoroughly, along with anything you touched with contaminated hands and anything the chicken came in contact with. Cross-contamination can lead to food poisoning.
Make sure you cook the chicken thoroughly. You want the center to be at least 165ºF.
Certain temperates can destroy campylobacter bacteria. 48º c or 118.4º F will kill the bacteria. Freezing chicken can also kill the bacteria.
If your stomach has enough hydrochloric acid (HCL), it should be able to kill off small amounts of campylobacter bacteria. The problem is, many people do not have good stomach acids-especially as you get older. Antacids can also lower HCL levels, which can increase your risk of infection.

So I have actually eaten raw chicken before on purpose. I was following alot of aujonus vonderplanits work at the time. Keep in mind THIS WAS NOT STORE BOUGHT CHICKEN it was from a local farm in Washington state with healthy chickens in an open organic environment. I talked to the owners of the farm about how they took care of the chickens and their diet. It was also killed and packaged at the farm the day before I ate it raw. I ate a whole raw breast the day I bought it and felt great. Next day I woke up fine and felt great, (actually felt better than normal) then proceded to eat a whole other raw chicken breast that morning before a 10 our shift at work. I have to say, during the entirety of my work shift and that whole day I felt amazing. The raw chix was all I ate that day and didnt feel the need to eat more because of how nourished I felt. I ate some more raw that night when I got home from work. But basically I felt amazing off this raw chicken.I felt full of energy and vitality and felt really clear headed. I would never recommend to eat store bought chicken because those are sick altered mass produced chickens and that will make you sick. After testing out aujunouses work personally. I feel that we have been misled and lied to about salmonella and food poisoning.

Definitely agree no one should be eating conventionally raised chicken raw. However, I disagree that bacteria is what "causes" food poisoning. Food poisoning is caused by poison, the very toxins that are found in unnaturally raised, factory farmed animals. Bacteria is there trying to clean up the toxins. If you're going to eat raw chicken, make sure it's from a quality source.

Totally different. Those chickens are extremely carefully slaughtered, so that no poo spills into the meat. It's like Mett in Germany, or eating raw meat with the Eskimos. In all those cases, people know what they're doing, so you're safe. Totally different from getting a nearly-always contaminated chicken from the supermarket, or even the farmer's market (they have campylobacter too, and they're not cleanly slaughtered either, since they are not INTENDED for raw consumption).

Thanks everyone :) I just wanna clear up, I don't have any sugar-related issues (well, not anymore at least), I've been on IF for a few months now and I asked this question because sometimes I'll eat a piece of dark chocolate or a glass of kefir or a handfull of nuts (because I can't snack) after a meal so, if I don't put everything in front of me I run like hell to grab it and eat it as fast as I can. I know insulin stays up for some time after a meal but I didn't know whether it was 2 minutes or 2 hours. I sound a little overzealous I know :)

This might be what I'm experiencing, Abdominal pain and diahrrea

    • @swisschalet1658
      @swisschalet1658 2 роки тому

Yeah, Alex, just remember that if you have abdominal pain and diarrhea, do whatever you can to STOP the diarrhea. You need to hold it in. Your body is trying to tell you that it needs the poop inside you. It’s not trying to cleanse you out, it’s a sign that you need to lie on your back with your legs and buttocks up onto the wall, to try to force the diarrhea back up into your bowels. It means you need to freeze your food first, then cook all your food really, really well, then microwave it for 90 seconds, then eat it. Then take a probiotic that you purchased at the pharmacy. That will keep you safe. You have to stay safe from the bacteria!

Please don't risk it. Undercooked Chicken can give you Salmonella as well, which can be fatal to small children, the elderly, pregnant woman, & people with compromised immune systems or Diabetes. It can be deadly, & make you wish you were dead. It can stay in your system for yonks too. Always cook for as long as the label says to.

The pork contained industrial chemicals, which are saturated and made even worse when cooked. Bacteria don't cause food poisoning or stomach cramps.
