I kinda do the same, except I actually have a tool made for that purpose, made by Kluson. However, I wiggle them out instead of tapping to avoid chipping. The tool shown here is solely for pressing them in.
Great content, thank you. Question, @ 15:35 when you align the tuners, on a traditional Gibson headstock, the tuners are not exactly square/parallel, correct? I seem to remember the Gibson tuners are sort of following the curve of the sides of the headstock. A friend has a Gibson style kit guitar and I noticed his tuners looked off, one of those things where something isn't right yet its difficult to tell what is off. Thanks again, new subscriber.
You are correct. But many vintage Gibson style (smaller) head stocks are straight, also, many tuners do mount following the headstocks curve. This was just not that case here. So when they are meant to be lined up I do. Thanks for watching, and welcome to the channel. I hope you find it of use.
MUCH Better than Hammering them jn, I've used the C clamp with some rubber or leather on both sides in the past,, But I like this method better because they're always going to stay straight while going in. I also like more when you did the wrenching On the front of the headstock, I have to admit I cringed quite a bit seeing that Ratchet handle so close to the back of the neck😬
Glad you enjoyed it. As or the ratchet, What you can't see is my little finger curled under the handle to avoid any chance of bumping anything. Thanks for checking out the video.
Very cool!!!
🤘🏼😎
I usually put a small screwdriver in the back and gently tap them out.

Good video!
I ran into this issue.
Where do I get the tool you used to install the bushings?
It is simple, like I said in the video at your local hardware store. I mention every part you need.
