I honestly have no idea how James does it!I cannot play 2 Metallica songs in a row unless I play one of James parts but the next song have to play Kirk's parts.Cannot do back to back James.
Cool guitar, could use a big of tightening up and to me especially the hammer on is noticeable, but keep practising bro, Metallica is definetly the band for practising down picking too, one tip can be if you are struggling to set your metronome at a higher bpm than the actual song, then bring it back down

At the end of the main riff you have to hammer on pull of 2-3 on the string.

Yep you are right C B, I was missing part of the tail end from the main riff - the 2-3-2 hammer-on/pull offs.
