You can tell the VAs that they did a damn good job! The guy that was captaining the Victorious is a particular favorite of mine. Can't wait for more stuff!!
I think you must be the first Nebulous player I've seen who doesn't run this on a potato -- or records on one. I didn't realize the game could look this relatively good. All the other vids I've seen apparently have had most of their detail settings set to low, lighting turned down, etc. Obvs we don't play or watch Nebulous for the spaceship eye candy. There's Homeworld 3 or Star Citizen for that. But it's nice to know Nebulous can look like it's not actually from the 1990s.
Yeah I use max settings, I think the game looks quite nice! Also, part of it is I record at a frankly unreasonable bitrate (30mbps with AV1) on top of the 1440p resolution. Dark games like Nebulous get compressed to hell and back and a bitrate much higher than usual is required, and not a lot of people know this. That's what's happening when you see a video that looks "crunchy". Also, this map is just lovely!
@@achillesa5894 I know its been 2 months since this comment, I wanted to know what your set up is, if possible? Cuz for me I also had to run it on low settings and even then there were massive stutters (but that was at least 2 years ago, idk if there was a change or no). Maybe it was cuz I was using a 1060 on a computer that had been chugging along for nearly 5-6 years at that point or so. Still. Good gameplay! Hoping to get back into Nebulous again some day.
Haven't played Neb for a while so kinda rusty, but I had to come back for the shiny new UI on the test branch. Got a pretty good game out of it!
I love watching gameplay of this cause I know the makers of the game at a personal level and I know all the Voice Actors lmao

Ooh, I quite like the new UI!
Okay what was up with that space triangle at 6:06?
It's a satellite going around the map!
I like new layout, but those vibrant colors are killing all the «military control panel» feeling for me.
we have like identical CL fleets, I use HEKP in mine tho
How did you find it?
oh just noticed the ship formation UI also changed
