Yaaay, another u-boat video... I love the subsims, so please keep them up here wolfpack. As for the next mission I'd like to see the escort mission. But that is only because I do not see how it would actually work, lol...
@@stefanusloloanpieterhutaba2744 I don't know what you mean by "it will change how you see them". I know u-boats were not the best submarines during WWII. None the less, I like subsims. Sad thing is that most of them are centered about u-boats. I only know of 2 that are not (SH1 - it was a british submarine simulator, and ColdWaters - and that is a atomic sub "arcady" sim).
At 2:34 there is a shark in the water. That is the first time I have seen any representation of wildlife in this game so far. I often wondered about that. Whales and such. Cool.
After playing SH 3, 4 and 5 a looong time ago, I was now looking for a contemporary SubSim, tried Cold Waters and failed quite miserably there 😒. Then I came across UBoat and subsequently your videos. I like the footage you show us and what we get to see, I very much like how you explain, what you do and why, and I absolutely love your intros being so immersive and in-character. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the effort and time you take in editing your videos before you upload them - you have an unusually high standard and keep it high. - - - Apart from that I am torn between the escort mission (curious to see what it is all about) and the attack on Alexandria (promises to be a nerve-wracking experience, 😎. Whatever you decide on - I'll gladly watch it 👍
A port raid on Alexandria sounds risky, but super fun as well. I gladly vote that you should take you ship and crew into harms way for our entertainment 😂
I wish there was a modern WW 2 Pacific Theater equivalent to U-boat something you could play as the Allies or the Japanese Imperial Navy. Being able to command a Gato or Balao class sneaking into the Sea of Japan, attack an IJN carrier task force, perform plane guard duty fishing downed pilots out of the sea, or sneak into enemy anchorages would be a dream that hasn't been since the old days of sub games.
Ice Cold in Alex is the way forward. Are your nerves tough enough to follow in the fins of your glorious Italian allies whose frogmen penetrated the British defences?
Finally got my own copy of Uboat a couple of weeks ago, and I'm gonna tell you: the early war (1939 start) is a whole different beast where you can run circles around the Royal Navy without breaking a sweat even on hardest game settings. The biggest problem I personally face is the darkness of nights making periscope almost useless in 70% of the night engagements. But the majority of freighters are still alarmed at that point, therefore, searchlight + deck gun do the trick)
observation scope is up because you have two sailors assigned to the skipper while he's on the attack scope. The second sailor will hop on the observation scope like an idiot and get in the way. When I am on the attack scope I reduce to one sailor helping to prevent the observation scope from being used.
18:15 Technically, this is relevant. There was one Japanese train destroyed by a submarine, USS Barb, or more precisely by the crew thereof. Still, it's a precedent!
Another great video. Whenever I watch your subsim videos, I get an urge to play Silent Hunter again (hopefully there are plans to play SH again at somepoint in the future)
While there are many friendly ports in the game I have never docked in one other than where I am stationed. If other friendly ports could have unique food goods and vacation options that would be amazing.
Did you know, that your Officers can play cards with the Crew to raise the moral? Also you can offer variable food in the kitchen to do the same. Maybe it will help you next time.
Watching this after playing against subs in World of Warships. Although this level of complexity would not be possible in an arcade game, they could come a lot closer to the somewhat realistic performance of the surface ships. Graphics and details ( such as the train) are excellent.
Food and medical supplies. Ugh. Those medical supplies was most likely some extremely valuable penicillin, which would be one reason the ship was so heavily armed.
uboat is looking & performing a lot better with these continuous patch updates, i have reinstalled uboat thanks to you playing the game, as I have always enjoyed playing sh3 as it's game play mechanics are pretty damn good, so it's nice to play a submarine game with modern day graphics & good game play, which can only get better as uboat evolves.
Historically going through Gibraltar wasnt a big and issue as leaveing due to a 5. Knot current that would make most subs stuck at 1 knot trying to get out aka a death sentance
Wow, didn't know you could hand out food to lifeboats now. The after action report feels like what SH-Commander was doing back in SH3 days. Game is really shaping up.
I was admiring not only the train but all the pretty lights at La Spezia at night ... until I realized there would be no lights shining because Italy was at war, and would therefore be observing blackout conditions.
Not every city or port had to adhere to blackout, only were attacks could be expected. Not sure about the situation at that time of the war right now and given La Spezia's importance, you might be right.
Alexandria port raid sounds simply lovely. Go for it!
decima mas x TIME BABY
I agree. Sounds challenging, but great material for your campaign here on YT
@@polaxis842 If anyone can pull it off, its gotta be Wolfpack.
“Execute order Alexandria”
I agree!
Always love some Uboat gameplay! Thanks for the awesome vid!!
Thank you!

Last time I tried it it glitched out on me.. I will have to test it
@@Wolfpack345 Damn, that is too bad... Oh well, whatever you will choose will be entertaining I am sure of it.
Watch greyhound that'll change how you see them. Not saying that u boats arent cool they are absolutely amazing machines

A good port raid is always nice, tense and rewarding.
I understand Alexandria’s harbor is lovely this time of year. I say you should visit, take in the sights, sink some souvenirs.

Glad we're getting more U-boat content.

The water in UBoat is hands down the most beautiful implementation in any naval simulation.

What about surface torpedo attacks at night ? As was custom..
Thanks!
Thank you so much! I appriciate it :)
would love to see the escort, different from the regular patrol, would love to see more large warship sinking, too
Alexandria port raid sounds lovely.
Great video!!
YAY! MOAR U-BOAT!! Alexandria raid would be pretty cool and I think rather entertaining.

Alexandria Raid sounds excellent! Congratulations on this successful mission.

You produce such high quality game play videos! I really enjoy them!
Glad you like them!
Wow the shine off the intro looked amazing
I got this game after watching a few of your videos... It's been ages since I played a sub simulator, so thanks Wolfpack :D
Another great video.

I SAID YOUR VIDEOS ARE PURE GOLD....GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD......
That was quick! I was just getting into the cruse.
Haha can you imagine? What that torpedo would’ve done to that poor fishing boat😂😂😂
Ahh the enjoyable Uboat series my favorite
Definitely like the sound of Alexandria port raid!
The sunny beaches of Alexandria - this is a task for the next episode.
Awesome vid as always. Your videos are always good, also, your vids got me into IL-2 as well.
we sent a man to the moon 50 years ago yet we still cant have realistic water in video games 50 years later.
Thanks for another video, Wolfpack345.
Thank you!
The Alexandria Port Raid would be amazing, loved the video and a nice patrol Great job! (Left a like btw)
Sees a fishing boat ... ALL HANDS MAN YOUR BATTLESTATIONS!(procceds to fire torp at fishin boat)
It’s great to see how far this game has come since its release.
Keep these coming they always make my day when I see a new one!
I'd love to see how you execute a port raid on Alexandria!
Three torpedoes vs Gibraltar. No problem.
Wow, they actually modelled the La Spezia arsenal. Although it's a bit weird to find it completely empty.
I love these U-boat videos.
Thankyou very much mate, Great video
While there are many friendly ports in the game I have never docked in one other than where I am stationed. If other friendly ports could have unique food goods and vacation options that would be amazing.
Please do the port raid next. Love the videos man
I love these videos, always very exciting! Keep it up!
Thank you.

Hunt and attack the carrier, that would be very cool
Always look forward to seeing a new episode of U-boat and other game episodes keep up the great content
Alexandria! Kapitän Wolfsrudel(captian wolfpack).
Port raid sounds great.
The Med is the only place I have encountered merchant vessels traveling at over 7-8 knots. With the decimal mod their speed is shown as 11.5 knots.
Interesting! That is good to know
A port raid would be cool to see.

A submarine doin "escort" duty in the WW2 era...
heh.
^.^
I always notice how dirty my screen is when you look through the periscope. I think I see some distant ship, but really its just some schmutz.
I laughed pretty good when you said I ran out of food before and it didn't looks so pretty.. Dahmer party of one..lol
21:28 i think you should go for alexandria
Historically going through Gibraltar wasnt a big and issue as leaveing due to a 5. Knot current that would make most subs stuck at 1 knot trying to get out aka a death sentance
To downscope the annoying Observation Scope just dismiss one of the sailors from the officer looking through the Attack scope😉
if you want a different more challenging experience, try to play a few missions in First Person only. i had a lot of fun doing it
Wow, didn't know you could hand out food to lifeboats now. The after action report feels like what SH-Commander was doing back in SH3 days. Game is really shaping up.
Never got to see Gibraltar... I had my trunks packed and everything. What's the weather like in Egypt these days?
Another great vid! You make uboat game seem so interesting. I just cant get on with it and have continued with SH3 NYGM and SH5 WOS.
Alexandria sounds like a plan
This game looks very cool!!!
The escort mission seems interesting. If it's not bugged I think it could be fun to see.
Alexandria sounds good.
A port raid of Alexandria would be nice
*sees fishing boat, the voice in the back of my head* "Do it. Kill him."
I come from la spezia and wow.. the map of the port is similar to reality
Would love a port raid.
Alexandria port raid =)
great video! i also wanted to ask you which HOTAS do you use for IL2 gameplay?
Escort sounds nice.
Love the content, I vote port raid on Alexandria
Love how you put the Silent Hunter 3 soundtrack behind your game
is that a mod?

Hope this game come to consoles
Does this game have externally stored torps?
Maybe that Greek cruiser is still at Alexandria...
This looks fun. And currently £10 on Steam. Worth a go? Are the mods you use needed? I've heard the game itself is a little lacking in basic features.
USS Barb mission confirmed
They did an Overhaul/Remake of the Realistic Sinking Mod in the Workshop, did you check that out yet?
IL2 Flying Circus II is out. You plan on any flight careers in it?
Hello WolfPack thx for the awesome videos ^w^
Glad you like them!
Go after that port!
I would love to see the escorting mission
what does changing the interior lighting color do?
No sound mod ? 😊 amazing content
How often is food available in the ports because have not been able to get food since
SH3 soundtrack is the best
Though curious I am if escort is less buggy I am quite interested in a potential port raid!
Port attack would be fun
14:26 Is this song in game? Its the same as in SH3
Escort duty sounds interesting
Port raid that's what I vote for
