Just the most amazing teacher I have ever experienced. Her boldness and confidence comes from years of experience Coupled with her down to earth nature makes her a force to be reckoned with. Ive learned more from her than years at art school.
Since I know this is a posthumous comment: how I wish I had known this incredible woman. A wonderful artist and teacher-- witty and full of experience--who made the arts a delight and a necessity in life.
Never saw this episode, thank you!!! Was able to paint portraits after watching HVW and actually sold them. Wish I'd seen this one because photos was all I ever had but managed to improve. Yes, the grinding was a tedious but necessary part of it!
Im so so sad to read the comments that she is no longer with us?? This must have happened recently. Can you please inform?? As the do hope the paint chemicals has not caused her harm
Truly a treasure to be able to still watch her. Thank you.
this chick is telling us everything I've learned in 50 years, plus a whole lot more
Gorgeous!
I believe Helen was the finest instructor of oils. I've never seen anyone that truly compares. She is missed.
I miss her so much
Yes, I also miss her very much. ❤
Oh, Seeing Helen again just made my day!

I'm so grateful you shared these films of Helen. They are so terrific. I look forward to seeing more soon. Thank you!
She's a really good teacher. This is just fascinating to me and I was randomly recommended it. I would have loved to have her teach me.
This is just lovely to watch. It is extremely helpful, thank you.

This one wasn't part of her TV show, I don't think. It was a standalone VHS tape sold. That might explain why you never saw it.
So candid, love it

👍✨️🪄
You left out some of the eye work... very disappointing.
You're talking to a woman who has been dead for 30 years.
