Attaching moulds directly to the wood piece is new to me. So many other channels ( IOD, Debi DIY, etc) say always to put down paint first then the moulds. I’m just getting into using moulds on furniture and I keep thinking to myself, why not glue the mould to the wood piece? This makes comp, eye sense to me, thank you! 👍🏼

When you started I was skeptical and when you showed your array of molded pieces I was aghast, thinking how on earth is she going to fit those all on that little piece? I kept watching, and watching and darned if you didn't pull it all together and produce beyond spectacular results. I absolutely love this piece. 🎉 😍❤🤩 I think you should challenge Martin to do something similar -maybe not quite so elaborate- only use molds and colors that produce a very masculine result.

Just incredibly lovely. And as some others have said, I too just really appreciate all the tips--like the glue thing. I've been taping molds down, and they can get squished, and glue runs etc. And yes I always used wood glue. The paper you just whipped up out of thin air is so gorgeous. And yeah, moths. They're the mystery bug queens. Thanks again Lel. and Martin:)

I know this video is longer than most but it flies by! Everyone should watch it and they won't be bored. I learn so much from every video you and Martin make and this one is exceptional. Beyond the instructions which are invaluable, you and Martin are both hilarious. I love how you spent a ton of time on these intricate molds and the composition of your piece as well as the choice of paint colors and then, a good hour or so into your masterpiece you mention in passing that might want to put your glasses on - just the way you said it cracked me up! As if you didn't need your glasses for all the amazing work you'd already done! Please keep doing what you're doing, just the way you're doing it. You have inspired me to the point where I felt compelled to teach myself how to "subscribe" and "like" on UA-cam from my main computer since I usually watch you on my TV where I can't do that.... This is beautiful as are all your projects. I love watching your videos. You make art look so easy. I can see and enjoy art but it doesn't flow from my mind to my fingers easily :) I did decoupage the metal work in the cut-outs of a headboard. I covered the back of the decoupage paper with packing tape to peel off the white paper until I had not transparent but flexible almost like tissue paper. When I placed it on the metal and tapped it with a water wet brush, it tucked into all the swirls and crevices like panty hose without ripping or lumps where paper overlapped. When I rubbed my fingers from the bare metal to the decoupage metal I couldn't feel an edge, as if it were painted
