Tough, grinder, clutch, non conventional..he brought 4 championships to San Antonio. He beat the USA in the olympics! Won a gold medal! No player's jersey # retirement is ever a lock. I mean, OKC won't even consider retiring KD's unless he goes back. The Lakers likely won't retire LeBron's number just cause he played there. He would have to make some noise, which would be hard considering he's entering the twilight years of his career. Hell, Minnesota still hasn't retired KG's number, even though he played there for 13 1/2 seasons and gave them his all!
To be fair, KG won't retire his number unless Glen Taylor sells the team.
OKC hella petty if that's true; he's THE reason they're relevant. You CANNOT tell the story of the Thunder (or the NBA) without him.
Miami will likely be forced into retiring "6" (Bosh stayed but 4 years is hardly banner worthy (despite MVPs)) but I doubt they're overly eager to... but OKC *is* KD (& Russ and yes, Nick Collison).
